The original hope was to be able to alternate between the two, knocking out a section and/or chapter of one, then the other, as each was finished. I can sometimes, heavy emphasis on sometimes, get straight and curved lines down, but when it comes to the details like the mouth and eyes, it barely ever comes out right and I have to heavily rely on loosely copying other artist's eyes and mouths.

I can get realistic eyes and mouths down, but the moment I gotta convert them into cartoony lookin' eyes and mouths, they're too small, too far apart, and look as dead inside as furfag suits do.

Shucks. I don't know what to tell you. I've been drawing for pretty much my entire life (I started at about 3 or 4 years old) and from that point I always just started doing what felt right.

So in a way, yeah, drawing is part of figuring it out yourself because it's your style and drawings, but looking up references and following the way others do things is not a bad thing to do either.

Not sure what else you might be able to say, but let me try a few words.

Overall, definitely like the picture. You have talent, and skill, and damn if it isn't being shown nicely.
I like the effort you put into both the expression and the body movements, giving an actual sense of this being a real scene. Beanie's eyes, especially, have what I would call the right amount of 'jaded night shifter' to them, while still showing her obvious pride and amusement at kicking Mike's ass.
Because my High School art teacher beat it into us that any feedback that didn't include at least some 'constructive criticism' was shit feedback, here's what I got: Mike has no ass. Really, both of them need a bit more attention on the lower half, but good job on the fabric folds - seriously, so many people just do feckin' smooth tubes for pants.
Anyway, little bit of improvement on body build and proportions, but damn - your expression and detail game is ace.

I've tried only imitating weaver's style and trying to do that from memory feels impossible, but slap a sample pic from him to the side and it becomes doable. At that point it's just a matter of having the "stupid fingers" that can't seem to draw a straight line or make a decent curve to save my life. For that all you can do is fuck around with program settings or hand positioning and hope something works out then practice the shit out of it.

The point I was trying to make was that our fandom is also weird and with it's own wacky, autistic quirks and strange shit.
In regards to /5N@F/ itself: it's where Poke and the initial chapters got started, it's where Weaver spent his FNAF phase, it's where some of our CCs like Lucifer and J and probably a good chunk of our regular posters came from, and before the sperg or whoever made the first /trash/ threads it used to be the only hub to discuss Roommates.
Regardless of how you feel about them, without the /vg/ threads we probably never would have gotten Roommates or, debateably, most of Weaver's later FNAF content. Considering how it was Roomates that got Poke into contact with Weaver, it might even mean that we wouldn't have gotten Pack Street either (maybe).
With so much history as well as just by being the origin of both the fic and it's writer, I think that's more than enough to warrant it's own layer.

I mean, it's as silly as a branch being snobby towards the tree it grew out from.
