It is easy if you get a feel for it. I started doing it in wow out of boredom. Made about 200 bucks and well over 1million gold in under 3 weeks, then got bored again. Most of the times its guys who act stupid because they want to get off. Gay guys at that, the whole Fin-Dom scene is way bigger with gays for some reason. Not that i mind.

Met some decent people, friends even. Not gonna give out names tho. Most get bored after a while. which is understandable. Im sure if you put actual effort into the stuff you could do it as a job even. But thats probably more effective when you are a slut on twitter/tumblr.
The one thing that sticks out is how many other "Doms" (and i use that term loosely, because what i did is hardly Domming) asked me for advice. I always thought its something you just know how to do, or dont.

It works mostly because people tend to think being an exclusive Top with an asshole attitude is being dominant. Because they only see the Dom/Sub stuff in relation to Sex and general kinkyness. Which doesnt make it less valid then other definitions of the term, but less relevant to people who take it more "seriously"
Still, i dont think you can learn to be dominant. You can surely learn how to be a dumbinant tho, as i have shown in my profiles i linked earlier. At the end of the day, i dont judge what people enjoy, but i dont have to agree with their viewpoints either. Whatever makes them happy.
