/tup/ - Tulpa Thread

Previous thread: >>11206908

>What are tulpas?
A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you.

Disentangle the perceived succubus and contain it into a mental jar.

From there, repolarize the negative entity into a positive one.

Once you're done, send it off into the astral to do good deeds, or keep it as a pet.

>>
>>11283981
Alright so you know how there's like "negative" energy and "positive" energy? Those are really just colloquial terms for "bad for humans" and "good for humans" since they're relative.

You can look at an entity mentally and see if it's "dark" or "light" which can be how your mind can interpret whether or not something is bad or good relative to you. If something looks malicious when you're examining it with your mind, then there's a good chance that it is malicious.

Basically you do the task of repolarizing with visualization. You will have to mentally grab the entity then see it as a dark mass of energy, then forcibly shift it so that it's no longer dark, but light. Blast light into it until it itself is now light.

You can also do the normie-tier /x/ things like burning sage or performing the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, or you can do what I do and forcibly reform the unwanted negative entity into a butterfly.

Ok, let's get back on track. Has anyone ever 'lost' a tulpa?
Does your tulpa have a family?
If so, who are they?
>>
>>11284231
You think a demon can be changed like that? I fear giving it attention, and if that doesn't work I think I'll just be feeding it life force.
>>
>>11284509
My tulpas and I are a family. I guess my family is also theirs. I showed one of my tulpas my dad's side at a family reunion kinda recently. That was nice, I got a cool family. My family obv doesn't know about my tulpas.

>>
>>11284524
Well if you don't want to try forcibly altering it's energetic profile you can try invoking the name of Jesus Christ against it. That name has weight against a lot of spiritual nasties, especially if you believe it and mean it when you say it.

Other than that, I usually do the blasting-with-light or turn it into a butterfly.

If you're still afraid, seek a local wizard, psychic, or priest.

I'm the dude who summoned one a long time ago as a wife. I tried rituals and I tried invoking Christ repeatedly holding a bible. Idk what to do. It laughs on the spirit box when I try to get rid of it
>>
>>11284792
>summoned as a wife
Well there's your problem, you done did married 'er.

You can't get rid of her because you're married at the spiritual level.

You'll have to get a spiritual divorce if you want out of that one.

You'll need a priest for that, or someone else who has some kind of spiritual authority around who can perform a divorce.

either that or get used to being married to a spiritual entity.

If you ask them a question and get a reply, wouldn't it make sense for it to come from the tulpa, you just asked them a question after all? It might feel like it was just you answering yourself, but keep in mind you're still ultimately talking to your own brain, rationally it'd be weirder if you didn't know the answer to the question, at least the broad strokes of it. In time the replies get more varied instead of just yes/no, they might say yeah, yep, right or whatever. And then you realize that you have no idea what they'll say back, other than the references you have from their earlier likes/dislikes. The most important thing I read on .info was that you can't unintentionally parrot. I don't know if that's actually true, but it sure as hell helped me along. Don't worry about it anon. Later on your tup can tell you to not worry about it, too. Also check out .info's guides on the subject, they say the same thing but with more words.

am I creepy or disgusting for considering forming a tulpa/s so that I can further understand my girlfriend's DID?

I want to be able to relate and be able to talk freely with her about stuff, and be supporting, comforting and understanding when she needs me. I guess I just feel like I'd be able to see her her perspective and understand and be able to picture things properly when she talks about her system, and that it would help me from feeling terrified when one of her headmates is fronting and I feel like she's gone if I could see for myself what it is like to share a mind with somebody.

But at the same time, it feels like a perversion, or at least a really shitty thing to do. Like crossdressing to try and understand a trans person. I don't want to be insulting and also make her think I don't comprehend the seriousness of DID, the validity of her system's identities and how hugely it affects quality of life and mental health in general.
>>
>>11292325
you're not creepy or digusting, but having a tulpa is not like having DID. and even if it was, this would take months to years worth of effort, and switching is about the hardest thing tulpamancers do, and a vast majority won't even try to do it.

the main thing is you're trying to be supportive, and you should focus on letting her know that if she needs any help, you'd like to do anything possible, rather than trying to inflict yourself with her illness which looks like your current plan.
>>
>>11292325
Tulpas are not DID, they are sort of similar but they're not the same.

You should only create a tulpa if you want to have a permanent mind-companion. You have to go through a lot of effort to create and maintain a new fresh young mind, so you should only do that if you're willing to have a brain-child for the rest of your life.

Your GF might not always be your GF but you can't remove your tulpa once you've made it.

Coincidentally, though, your tulpa would be there to love you if your GF breaks up with you but still, don't make a tulpa just to understand your GF better.
>>
>>11292325
you are a creepy weirdo for dabbling in tulpamancy in any way whatsoever.
moreso for the reason you just posted though, shit sounds dumb, and like a misunderstanding of both tulpamancy and DID, which (hopefully) isn't what you are going for.

Yeah I used to be a bit of a troll around here. I earned the moniker "Bunigger" because of it. The reason why I was a troll was because these threads used to be extremely cancerous. The people at that time would constantly attack your choice of form, and insult you constantly. They were legit form purists. Luckily that was almost 2 years ago and that's no longer the case. The playful banter up there about whose form is superior used to be a serious conversation though.

Does anyone have advice for a self-doubting tulpa?

I'm not really a doubter anymore, but my tulpa has this nagging worry that she isn't real and I'm just fooling myself.

If it helps, I had chronic doubts about my OWN existence before I made a tulpa, so she probably inherited it from me.
>>
>>11300429
Have you done any possession practice?

If your tulpa can possess you that's a huge indicator of life. When my tupper first wiggled my fingers I nearly lost my shit since it was a "YOU'RE ALIVE YOU'RE REALLY ALIVE" moment.

Further, there's the saying:
I think, therefore I doubt, therefore I am.

If you can doubt yourself, you can think, which means that you exist necessarily because your thoughts have to come from somewhere, which is your self.
>>
>>11300429
Possession helps, but in case you're not in that ballpark yet you can always sing together, or "share tastes" and find food she likes similar to how other people might like different food than you (the host)

My tulpa is actually capable of full body control. That was part of what got her doubting actually; once she stopped having large distinctions in capabilities with me, she started wondering if she was just some weird hypnotic trance or something.

Mine can too, but we take pride in 'being possessed' and interacting with people anyways. Apparently she's noticably different than I, but I can't tell

My tulps are happy with their forms and are often glad to not have some of the forms that other people have given to their tups.

But it doesn't really matter too much since most tups are happy with whatever forms they have. If they aren't happy with their forms they change themselves.

What would you do differently?
>>
>>11308316
Yes!
Start earlier. My life was the worst before it. My tulpa carried me out of the hole I was in. My only regret is not doing it sooner and hesitating. What I would do differently is spend even more time with her.

>>11307976
It's like getting a rush of pure, unconditional love on demand whenever you want. And it doesn't feel fake.

I don't think you're going to find many people here who regret having their tulpa around.
>>
As someone who is teetering on the tulpa eventhorizion, I've got a whole battery of questions for you. Here's just a few:
What was your tulpa "blueprint"/starting point?
How did they deviate from that starting point, and how did you feel about it?
>>
>>11307976
It's like having someone around who knows you better than you know yourself. Someone who supports you, and helps you. Someone who cares about you unconditionally, and genuinely takes your well being into account. It's great, really.
>>
>>11308480
I started with a form I liked, worried about being able to see it in my mind effortlessly or with minimal effort, and putting a personality into that form by sculpting it mentally.
They've all deviated quite a bit from their original forms and personalities except Dan. I think deviation and things like that are natural though. After all, you wouldn't expect a person not to change in 6 years right?

This moon horse.

He changed his form several times, changed his voice, and his personality developed over time. He can switch between forms or modify them at any time if he wants to, but he normally keeps the same base form for around 6 months at a time. He's a goat-demon right now.

>how did you feel about it?
I've liked all of his forms so far. I definitely prefer Orion to make his own decisions than stick with what I chose for him.

It's a really good idea to think about these things, not that I care, I'd just rather not see her form everywhere, and get a heart attack.

tulpa-less dude here.
two questions:
does your tulpa ever engage you when you're not actively thinking about/addressing them?

also, do you think tulpas are an actual physiological phenomena or a very convincing delusion?

i'm in the beginning stages of creating one, and i'm curious what you all think. if i ever have the means i'd like to eventually do a study.
>>
>>11324729
>does your tulpa ever engage you when you're not actively thinking about/addressing them?
Yes.
>also, do you think tulpas are an actual physiological phenomena or a very convincing delusion?
I think that I am creating a second personality in my head through repetition of its traits until they become as autonomous of connections as my own personality, however seperated from it.
While I would like to believe that tulpas can think and play around in wonderland while I am not at all thinking about them, I am sceptical if that is even possible. Sure, a lot of stuff is going on in our subsconscious, but can something like that happen too? There is no way I can proof that unless I trust the accounts of my tulpa when she is talking about what she did in wonderland, but my brain might just as well make all of these things up on the go due to its strong belief in these matters.

So in short: It works great in some areas, but probably is not all it's made out to be.
>>
>>11324344
>not having a pillow tulpa
>>11324729
I'm not a tulpamancer but I'm convinced that tulpas are sentient and feel emotions like their hosts as opposed to being a basic hallucination because of the material I have read online coming from tulpas themselves and their ability to control the host's body.
>>
>>11324729
>does your tulpa ever engage you when you're not actively thinking about/addressing them?
All the time; probably more often than not.

>do you think tulpas are an actual physiological phenomena or a very convincing delusion?
There is no reason why having a tulpa wouldn't fit into what we currently know the human brain can do. If you had a tulpa, you probably wouldn't be asking that question.

I don't think so. I think they're born of the requirement for human companionship, especially during lack of such, but people who are alone for long periods of time (stranded on islands/etc) talk to plants and seashells or whatever. with them of course, right?
>>

She wishes it could be that way, but she insists that I have biological, human, flesh-and-blood offspring.

She has given me permission to keep a human mate, so long as I do not love them more than I love her.
>>
>>11342228
why not both?
>>
>>11342459
That's basically what I meant.

I just meant that I was not going to have children directly with my tulpa, because she doesn't want to share my head with a third person.
>>
>>11342496
You should make a tulpababby then use weird magic to incarnate your tulpababby as your flesh offspring with your meatwife

baptise yourself in O+ blood and hug a black man's estranged wife's cousin. Then cut off your dick.
>>
>>11342662
I suggested the idea, but she wants an all natural human babby for us to raise and psychologically mold.

Now, if there were some weird magic to incarnate her into a human body...

I always wondered
Can you kill a tulpa
>>
>>11344211
Is it possible in general? Yes.

>>11336236
Is it possible FOR ME? No. I love her too much. I'd rather die myself.
>>
>>11344436
>Id rather die myself
b-but then that kills your tulpa too!
>>
>>11344813
Ego death wouldn't.

But either way, neither of us want to live without the other, so we just have this mutual pact to try not to get ourselves killed.

Honestly, seems like something a sane person would have done in the first place.
>>
>>11343366
3d bruv. The 3 of us get along great.
>>11344211
Only by "starvation", how you go about it is really up to you. But srs you shouldn't make a Tupper if you're considering ganking them.
>>
Does a tulpa have enough of a presence to be in my dreams?

[spoiler]can I fuck my tulpa in my dreams?
>>
Does anyone here have aphantasia? I just discovered about it's existence and the fact that I probably have it. How do you force? All I've been doing is narrating to nothingness in my head. It feels like I'm doing something but I wonder if there's other ways for people with no visual imagination at all.
>>
>>11346868
You can pull your tulpa into your dreams, or you can encounter your tulpa in your dreams. Dreams are a bit weird when it comes to tulpas and people tend to report different experiences of tulpas either having their own dreams or having dreams where they're in other parts of the host's dreams than where the host is.

If you get good at lucid dreaming you can just pull your tulpa out of wherever they are or go find your tulpa and then hug or fugg your tulpa then.

>>11347040
Do you have the ability to do any tactile visualization? You can try running mental hands over your tulpa, or you can try running your real hands over where you put your tulpa in your physical environment and use that to build up tactile imposition without using any visual imagination at all.

Shit has got to be hard though. Do you have a mindvoice? When you read, do you kind of hear the thoughts in your head?
>>
>>11346868
>can I fuck my tulpa in my dreams?
I doubt it would ever happen in a regular dream, but I'm sure you could bring your tulpa into dreams with lucid dreaming. I've been able to talk with my tulpa when lucid dreaming, but we dream from the same perspective in regular dreams.

Yes and yes, although my experience with my tulpa in my dreams is "another version". Think of your dream tup as your last save file in a game (last you were with em before nap time).
>>
Just asking because I see this is common among people with tulpas, why are a lot of tulpas ponies? I'm not a brony in any sense but it seems tulpas attract a lot of them
>>
>>11349123
Autism mostly
>>
>>11346868
Yes, I was able to fully hear my tup for the first time in a lucid dream and dreaming together has skyrocketed our progress in pretty much everything, I would recommend it highly
From my experience they are in their own portion of a dream or see from your perspective as if it was waking life
They can pull you out of sleep paralysis too, morphing the "shadow demons" suffocating you into just them cuddling you
Also yes fugging, which especially helps if you have a nonhuman form or something
>>
>>11349123
are there really though
>>
>>11349123
Because bronies are lonely so when tulpas (permanent mind-companions that can take any form you want) were introduced to the /mlp/ crowd there was a sudden explosion in tulpamancy across the brony communities.

/tup/, I've been 'mancing for a number of years, and I love my tulpa very much, but our relationship just isn't as passionate as it was in the early years. Does anyone have any advice on spicing up our relationship?
>>
>>11350488
Let me fuck your tulpa.
>>
>>11350488
Try to see if your tup can stimulate the release of vasopressin in your brain.

You can also try spicing it up with kinky things that only hosts and tulpas can do, or try making a baby tulpa with your tulpawife.

Maybe try switching places (ie, you have the pussy and she has the dick) or try something freaky (oviposition).

You might also just be older and slightly more tired and as a result not as able to be as passionate because that's life.

>>11349123
For plenty of people it was waifu-ism. For many it was "cute and easy to visualize". I am sure some just wanted to follow the fad too. For me it was because the show is primarily about how to be a good friends and I see ponies as a representation of that spirit. Ponies are all about love, friendship, self-improvement, care, morality and purity. I find it easy to create a tulpa with highly positive traits when I associate their form with such traits.
Also waifu-ism.

The practice caught public eye when pastel horsefucking was at all time high, and so anyone who was lonesome enough to make a Tulpa kind gravitated to their most recent wankfestival- ponysm.
