First off, we have to consider that after the events of Part 1, both Erina and Speedwagon are heartbroken. Even more so when later on Lisa Lisa disappears after George's death, leaving Joseph with no family other than them. It just seems like this "Joestar curse" might just affect him as well.
This obviously has a great impact on Joseph, who cares only about his current family, the "only thing he has". Growing up spoiled by them, who intend to also hide all about this curse that's been haunting them for almost 50 years.
A Young Joseph, of course, grows to hate this fact. Being the intuitive spoiled brat that he is, he can see through their façade. He knows fully well how hurt they are, and that's their drive for making sure Joseph doesn't need anything on his life. This "past" that he cannot change is the only thing hurting their family, and so, he starts to hate this past.
When fate comes to haunt him, he says that he will "succumb" to it by confronting Straits. No other character uses that specific word to talk about their fate.
This is why his confrontation with Caesar is so important. He explicitaly states "Why should we care about people who have died 50 years ago?!" which obviously triggers the proud Italian of the Zeppeli name.

With his death, the gift he receives from Caesar isn't the antidote; Far from it. It's his bandana what he wears first, the same thing Caesar reffered to as "The proud Zeppeli spirit".
By inheriting his spirit, he has fully become of the Joestar bloodline as well. Before he didn't want to even fight the Pillar men and was forced by them. All he cared about was the safety of his family, and making sure no harm comes their way, without understanding the source of that harm.
Hell, we even see Joseph tricking a Cat who thinks he's "Above everything". This describes Joseph so well before his confrontation with Caesar. Believing to be above consequences and acting without understanding what he's doing when he insulted his own bloodline.
This is the real Battle Tendency he has with himself, one to understand His Proud Lineage. Which once you understand it, the fact that "Sono Chi No Sadame" plays at Kars' demise, makes it all the more fitting. Both him and Caesar have defeated him, and freed themselves from the Joestar curse.
We can see this development affect Joseph in both Part 3 and Part 4, with his stand literally being vines such as the ones seen in a family tree, and how much he cares about not only Jonathan, but Holly, Jotaro and Josuke.
I took a lot of time with this, so sorry if you've waited so long.

And this is the line that separated it away from Speedwagon. Araki always learns and grows on the previous parts and this is a really good example of it.
I do like Joseph in the further parts, I feel both him and Jotaro were nicely rounded off and concluded with those parts. I would have liked then perhaps if Oldseph maybe had the pattern on his head scarf or maybe the bandanna wrapped around the walking stick. I feel like that should have carried on.
I think Johnny still has a better "arc" but Joseph (And Johnathan to an extent) are blessed with the shorter parts. I'd say Gappy to but Gappy is forced to have one moreso. Joseph really doesn't deserve the heavy duty meme on he gets.

Also, I'm truly glad to read such a great write up on Joseph! I don't think I've ever seen many people talk about his great character arc in BT here, and you nailed it. Guy might be my least favorite but he still rocks.

I like that latter half BT never felt too far from the early BT and it feels much more of a smoother transition. He keeps his cheekiness and the smile even afterwards. I don't really feel the same with Giorno or Josuke in that regard.

Joseph is fun, relatable, and quite deep once you dive into his conflict that expands from the previous Part and we get to see the fruits of it in both Part 3 and 4. And yeah, he was only fighting for his sake. Only got dragged into the whole thing because of Speedwagon insisting on meeting Caesar.
It's nice to be able to Joseph fag for once, I love him so much that I actually try and justify his asspulls, such as the defeat of Kars.

"asspull" is a really heavily over used word and is really thrown about way to much. I'e sperged about the Beetle bullet in part 5 and the Mobius Strip. There are legitimate asspulls but most happen to minor villains and it doesn't matter.
If Joseph existed in a later part as the Jojo where Araki had longer run then his ass pulls would have probably been explained or at least fleshed out. People confuse "Unsatisfying" with "asspull"".
I kinda feel like with Jojo you can't win sometimes.

Early Kakyoin is beautiful. I love Part 3's art style and yeah I suppose Araki wanted to balance everything out. KAkyoin does get buried sadly. If you play 7SU he does keep it up if you travel with him. There's some really nice friendship events where he's nice to you but it never feels like Polnareff's way. Parts 1-3 are a timeline of what was hip at the time, it's really adorable.
PB's art is really comfortable and has some great use of the heavy blacks and charcoals.
I want PArt 6 in the Part 3 art style. I love part 6 to bits but the art was really struggling there. His bigger pieces and covers look fucking fantastic. Araki really needed those bigger pages with Ultra Jump.
Part 5's art is a middle point for me, it looks great in print and it's impressive level of detail that Araki managed to cram in.

Honestly, Part 6 didn't have many designs that stuck out for me, but something about how robotic Jumpin Jack Flash looks, and the fact that it looked like it had maybe one leg made it look really interesting.

Yeah, I figured that's the answers I'd get. Well, I tried to get into learning how to draw, but I'm just so damn lazy and impatient when it comes to results. I got myself Drawing on the right side of the brain, but I quickly got fed up with all the pseudoscience inside it. Then I checked out one of Loomis's books and did a bit of doodling faces, practicing construction with it but I felt that I wasn't 'adventurous' enough. I don't know how to explain it really, but it felt like I wasn't committing to my strokes ,like I was afraid to experiment and just sticked with the familiar, which really put a bummer on my motivation. I don't know maybe I should get a tablet and switch to digital right away.
As for the other options, i dunno, maybe I'm gonna do all of 'em eventually, I've got money to spare/waste.

Buying a tablet right away without fully getting into the fundamentals? Don't do that, anon. You'll have to get used to the tablet and pen too, and trust me, it'll be hell. I've had my tablet since 2013, and in 4 years I couldn't make myself comfortable with using it. I'm not saying it'll take you 4 years, but learning how to use the tablet and art software effectively is one more skill you'll have to learn. Who knows, though. Maybe you'll get used to it pretty quickly and digital will help you improve faster.

You're probably right, I'd be better off learning the basics than to go digital. It's not even just porn, I want to draw all kinds of nice pictures and I got boatloads of ideas swiming around in my head, but unfortunately they're all at a skill level far higher than where I'm at right now. Don't let your ideas stay in your head. Draw what you want, it doesn't matter if the result isn't perfect. You'll learn from everything you do. As you draw, you'll have to look at reference photos and such; this may be a better learning method for you, judging from what you've said, and it has worked for me.
Draw the characters you like and eventually you'll be an excellent artist. Last night I was saving some artist's Pixiv logs and it surprised me how much they've improved in a couple of years. Seeing artists progress like that is motivating.

Could be, for all we know, he might actually kill Rai. He doesn't want the branch to be found, doesn't want the business side to get a hold of it. Jobin wants the branch for the Parlor, a business. You wouldn't expect him to change how something works in his Seinen Parts of all things. He could've just stolen friction and cause tank guy to go nuts while he and Yasuho hang in the air with some bubbles.

Would it make sense for Jobin to find a clever idea to find the Rokakaka, or would he find it by luck? With how the plot is going and how Josuke and Co. are always interrupted with fights, Araki will probably make Jobin find it eventually.

I think Araki wants to show of the Killer Queen side more. IT is meant to be two stands at once, but it doesn't match what we saw in Blue Hawaii.
Perhaps Araki has his reasons, but he mentioned Gappy's bubbles being from Caesar in one of the Part 2 Jojoniums so he had this intention years ago..
Perhaps he chnged it for the narrative, although think if you had the choice between KQ-bubbles and water or Plundering I'd go for the former.
In Blue Hawaii he is being chased, has to think on the fly. It was just more convenient to go water.
Although I wish it could have been...hinted at better.
