I have a feeling that Graphene intended this to be a fat thing and not an inflation thing, but I can't wrap my mind around it being anything other than her helium-filled butt rising gently into the air. Her wings aren't flapping, and there's nothing in the background to suggest she's laying on something that would angle her body like that. Is she supposed to be doing the worm or something? Derpy/CT pairing goes way back to the early fandom, probably because of a comic where they hang out and Derpy ends up eating all of CT's food. They came across as buddies, but I'd say that could easily be shifted to fuckbuddies. I'm pushing for her because there's zero CT inflation in any stories, and I'd like to hear some description of her yellow coat and carrots being stretched to the max. Bonus points if after pumping CT into a sloshy bloated mound Derpy tells her she's emptied her load.

Ember's fire breath for some reason backfires and sends a constant stream of hot air into her belly, bloating her out into a tight round dragon balloon. She panics and struggles at first, but then slowly turns to taking pleasure in the situation, now not her tiny little size.

I second this idea. Remember how it worked in the movie/book "Flight of Dragons"?

The dragons ate a certain type of crystal and that produced a flammable, lighter-than-air gas inside of them, which they used not only to fly but also to breath fire. When the dragons got frustrated or agitated, the gas would be produced in overabundance.

Personally, I always thought it was a bit of a similar situation with Equestrian dragons.

Minific suggestion:

Photo Finnish's camera has been secretly cursed to inflate the models she photographs (it was probably a witch jealous of young slim bodies). Her next photo shoot involves the models walking through a crowded location. All the models and background ponies start slowly blowing up midway through the photo shoot, and she realizes it's the camera's fault only after she has taken dozens of photos. Angry crowd takes her camera and uses it on her. Each time the camera takes another picture of the same pony, the effect is magnified for that pony.

There's very few inflation arts of Photo Finish, so I used what I could find.

That's a tall order for a minific. I should probably clear up what a minific is to me, though.
A minific is a small story, about 500 words, featuring one or two characters.

My main beefs with your request is the large amount of characters and the lame "magic-macguffin is magical and inflates stuff" of the inflatey camera.

Now if it was just Photo Finish I...

...Don't think I could actually write her that well, nor would I enjoy it much...

Starlight Glimmer had been bottling her rage and frustrations for a while before she learned it's bad in her episode with Trixie. Not knowing what to do with them they started to accumulate and now there's a shelf of really angry bottles partially hidden somewhere in her room. Either she or Twilight accidentally knocks it over and ends up as a really angry balloon when all the magic escapes.

Hey guys, Splorch_Bucket. Chapter 1 of that longer ’Sombra won’ AU thing is done enough to call a rough draft. Once it’s all done I’ll clean it up and post it to FiMFiction as my first story there. To do that though I'll probably need some proofreaders or editors, if anyone wants to volunteer. All told it's going to be a story in four acts, each with a handful of sub-chapters to keep it from being four 30k long chapters. Unlike the previous stories the inflation takes a bit of a back seat to the story content, but it's still going to be pretty magical realm all the way through. There will likely be at least one inflation or popping in every chapter, as far as I can tell from the outline. Before I ramble away even more here's Act I, Chapter I, wherein the ball gets rolling, and Nightmare Moon both describes herself exploding, and later actually explodes.

One more thing. Twilight will shortly be getting in introduced in chapter III, and will be a major player in just about everything after it. For those who don't recall, she's going to rather rapidly end up getting corrupted into a succupone. A nerdhorse succupone. Does anyone have suggestions for things they might want to see in her repertoire of lewd spells? I'll post a few ideas I have already but if you want something else I'll see if I can work it in.

I think plopping these two paragraphs of exposition into your opening scene throws off the flow of your story. In any opening scene, the audience is going to be a little disoriented, trying to get a feel for the time and place and universe your story is set in. It's a little disorienting to jump backwards while the audience is still trying to adjust.
And mentioning some details (like NMM being the mother of Sombra's monsters) without fully explaining the context is a good hook to catch the reader's interest. Like you already did with the passing reference to Cadance's fate.

If I were writing this, I'd trim it down to something like:

Or Nightmare Moon, as she now preferred. And all the bits I just cut out, I'd move into the next scene, at the train station. (The bit about her "criss-crossed scars and blemishes" being a "grotesque diary" is definitely too good to throw away.)

I wasn't aware of any memes about Whipped Cream when I started writing that story (almost a year ago). My reasoning was purely, "What if there was a machine for automatically filling pastries with whipped cream, and a pony got stuck on it and inflated?" It could just as easily have been a jelly injector from a doughnut shop instead.

Whipped cream only figures in the first chapter, anyway. The second is all fat ponies and water inflation.

Ember coughed as whatever the weird fruit she had eaten agitated her throat and stomach. It was one of the strangest feelings she had ever experienced; her belly, while normally burning with the power of a dragon lord, now felt even hotter than before.
>”Guh, that’s the last time I ever eat weird fruit offered to me by my idiot dragon-servants.”
Ember exhaled a hot stuffy breath, considering calling for a physician.
>”...What am I saying? There are no dragon physicians!”
The dimunitive dragon lord sat, caressing her hot stomach while she waited for buisiness to arrive. She sighed, bored half to death by the lack of anything to do. Her father would normally use his downtime to brag and flaunt, but barely anyone paid attention to her, likely due to her small size.
Suddenly she hiccuped violently.
>*Hic!*
That was fine, dragons hiccuped as often as ponies , but Ember couldn’t help but feel something was off…

This was odd. Normally dragons hiccuped because their body wanted to get rid of ‘old’ flame. Now there aren’t any detrimental qualities of ‘old’ flame, but typically a cause of flame-hiccuping in dragons was that the dragon’s body wanted to begin making new flame, and was trying to force the ‘old’ flame out. Dragon flame was only produced in batches, which is why it was possible to ‘run out’ of flame. But if a dragon was hiccuping, and no old flame was being released…
>”W-w-what’s*hic* going*hic* on*hic-hic* with me?”

Suddenly, she felt her body SURGE outwards. Her blazing belly began to burble and swell with flame, billowing outwards like a large rubber ball. Ember gasped, still hiccuping as her claws instinctively shot to her gut to soothe it, but nothing could be done to stop a dragon from making new flame, and as a dragon lord this was even more true, as her flame sac had become as powerful as her father's.
Which was to say, it was intended for a much bigger dragon.
>”A-aah! O-ooh no!”
Ember’s roaring belly was beginning to engulf her body now, showing no signs of stopping even as her legs and claws began to sink into her ballooning form. Her body had been rendered a near perfect sphere, yet she still continued to swell. However, a new feeling arose within the bloating dragoness as her scales squeaked and creaked.
>”Oh, I’m so BIG! *hiccup*!”
She didn’t want to admit it, but the feeling of her taut hide being stretched further under her strained scales, it was electric. And not only that, but the sheer size she was attaining was quite impressive. Although her body was becoming all the more fragile as she swelled and swelled, she only felt more and more powerful, superior to all the smaller dragons.
>”*Hic* No *hic* dragon will *hic* ever be larger than me! I will reign as the largest dragon lord who ever *hic* lived!”
She ballooned and swelled, her body still churning out flame. She had grown larger than the purple princesses’ gemstone castle, and yet she still continued to inflate. Her body let out creaks and groans every second and her legs and claws became little more than divots on the sides of her spherical grace. She wiggled in joy and delight of her size, almost taller than her father but definitely wider already.

With a crash and a tinkle, the crate of mismatched jars smashed against the ground, the contents shattering completely.

Scanning a keen eye to the wrecked crate, she saw only glass and splintered wood. It didn’t much seem like they had contained anything. Little did she know that the vast amount of bottled rage Starlight had amassed in those very jars and bottles had slipped inside her unnoticed. It wasn’t just a ‘day spent with Trixie’ worth of rage, no it was ALL the rage. Twilight quickly banished the mess to the trash dimension (AKA Discord’s front lawn).
>”Hehe, o-okay. Now, uh, what was I doing again?”
The only thing that could come to Twilight’s organized mind was that the next thing she needed to do was make a list of all the people she needed to tell off. A quick teleport to the study, and she began work.
>”Oh, gee, I sure have a lotta ponies to rip apart today. I might be better off if I organize the list based on how much I need that pony torn to shreds…”
And so she began. A few names she recognized hit the list; Night Glider, Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Discord, Flutteryshy, Discord, Twilight Sparkle, Discord, Sunburst, the list went on and on and on. A few names, however, she didn’t recognize. Twilight found it odd that she knew these names, but decided whatever.

By the time she returned to her castle, she looked like a completely different pony. She was fuming and snorting, her eyes blood red, but the biggest difference was in her body. Her entire form was swollen and puffy, like she had stuffed herself with pillows. Her angry trotting elicited squeaks from between her legs, but that didn’t stop her from the pursuit of her final target:

Yeah, Starlight had saved up a lot of self loathing over the years.
With a scream of fury, Twilight Sparkle smashed through the door of Starlights bedroom.

Twilight was completely unharmed and seemingly back to normal; she lay sprawled across an upturned dresser, snoozing peacefully despite having exploded mere seconds ago. Starlight smiled. Even if that was terrifying, it ended better than expected, and she no longer needed to deal with the burden of those stupid bottles.

Ponies in the audience cheered and stamped their hooves. Princess Celestia smiled, finally ready to give her sister some well deserved time in the spotlight.
And of course the night princess was nowhere to be seen. A few crickets chirped as attention invariably fell back on Celestia.
>”Where’s the eclipse?”
>”I’m certain she will be along shortly to raise the moon as she always does.”
There was an awkward period in which everypony was silent, save for a few coughs. Suddenly somepony shouted:

>”It’s the Eclipse!”
Princess Celestia turned her gaze skyward. Sure enough, a round mass was beginning to obscure her sun. Ponies cheered Luna’s name as the shape fully overtook the sun causing a beautiful moment of midday darkness. But Princess Celestia only raised an eyebrow. Something was off about the shape of the moon, and the fact that Luna wasn’t here was a big warning sign that something was amiss. Shaking her, head, the solar princess decided it was high time to investigate.
>”Enjoy the eclipse, my little ponies. I must attend to some business now.”
With that, Celestia took to the sky, leaving the cheering crowd behind as she flew towards the ‘moon’ above them.

Princess Celestia flew faster than she had ever before. The blob that had obscured the sun that day wasn’t the moon, so to speak, but rather, ‘the moon’ herself.

Princess Celestia was finally close enough to see her sister’s face. The lunar princess turned to face the voice and smiled gleefully through puffy cheeks as she recognized her sister.

Celestia alighted atop Luna’s swollen body before rushing to where her face was.

The blimp sized princess giggled at her sister’s concern.

And so Celestia trotted across the squeaky airborne landscape towards the towering rump. The jou
rney was long and hard, but she made many friends along the way.
Well, not really but she did meet Rainbow Dash, who was “just catchin’ some rays” or so she explained.
Upon reaching Luna’s rump, the familiar pink pony greeted her.

Said Pinkie Pie.
Princess Celestia didn’t really know if she should be angry, or sad or confused or happy at the pink earth pony, so she just chucked her off the side and called it a day.

Said Pinkie Pie.
Princess Celestia was about to leave when she noticed something. The party pony had left behind a large tank of helium, and by the looks of things, the hose was still wedged firmly in Luna’s rear end. It didn’t look like the valve was open, however…
Princess Celestia let a devious smile cross her lips.

And with that, Trollestia twisted the valve, letting the helium continue to flood into her moon-sized sister…

Okay, I just want to clear something up.
I'm not writing a story about how Discord's farts are magical and it does stuff to things.
I'm writing a story about how Discord is wandering around Ponyville/Canterlot taking pleasure in teasing random ponies with an expanding belly full of gas.
If you want to make a suggestion before I write the story plan in the request list, please have it be focused more around things Discord is doing or ponies he is meeting or where he goes, etc etc.

While some ponies would find it gross or obnoxious, there would probably be a few who would blush at a giant gut expanding with gas. Maybe even one who would purposefully accept the teasing in order to prolong physical contact for as long as possible.

So... if that happened, would Discord roll with it, or would he get bored and avoid a pony like that? Does his fun lay only with the teasing, or would he enjoy someone getting into it (or getting off on it)?

I have a suggestion, Writeslut. I have figured out the perfect candidates to be "victimised" in Discord's inflatable and gassy antics. When I say "victimised" I don't mean bloating up themselves from Discord's gas being contagious, which I know you don't want in this story, but rather these characters having to undergo the god of chaos' antics, cartoonishly (NOT sadistically) suffering for Discord's entertainment.

These characters would so happen to be the upper class ponies Canterlot. Not really anypony specific but just members of the general public Discord runs into in the city. Although, this should have been obvious to include from the beginning given the class system in Canterlot. However, I thought it would be worth suggesting just in case it never crossed your mind. I mean, how am I supposed to know what ideas you have come up with?

Anyway, the upper class ponies would be great for Discord's fun because their views on how one should act in public would make them perfect targets. Watching Discord engage on such hedonism would be ghastly and horrid to them, reactions of disgust and discomfort Discord would enjoy. Such behaviours Discord would engage on them could include forcefully squishing ponies against his enormous belly against walls, laying on top of his belly while ponies are pinned underneath, letting off his gas (from either or both ends) making ponies comically suffocate (but not to death), forcing ponies to rub his belly, or bouncing his belly on top them like a ball. These actions could occur both if his belly has halted its swelling or while he is inflating. Discord could also question why they must act so snobbish, civilised and boring, teasingly telling them to let go of their ideals and embark on such hedonism as he is commencing, to which they are still not fond of.

I would love it if Discord's teasing and pestering includes the stuff above, especially towards the upper class ponies of Canterlot.

I second this idea. Writeslut said he wanted to get Luna (and maybe Celestia) in on this too, so setting it in Canterlot would be a great solution. I mean, it's not like Discord is bound to any one area of Equestria.

Actually, now that I think about it, maybe it would be better to have him start out in Ponyville, trying to get a rise out of the ponies there, but they have all become so accustom to his antics that they don't really care anymore. They just write it off as, "oh, that's just Discord, doing what he does," and move on with their lives. So he decides to go somewhere where he *can* actually get a reaction: snooty Canterlot.

Here's some examples
Fluttershy shows concern for Discord and offers him a bellyrub.
Twilight tries to research whatever's going on with Discord but he bugs her so much he gets kicked out.
Specific characters, y'know, not just "upper class ponies".
