I've noticed that people like complaining and berating bad stuffs instead of praising good stuffs, but whenever there is a rotten apple for us to squash, it feels like the atmosphere gets more... lively... but is it truly a good and healthy thing? But the later is hard and the former is easy.

Its good everyone knows that Inter Schminter, Zaush's comic, Borba's comic, and TIWTTLL suffer problems. But I personally enjoyed the attempts to fix them: weaver's Max was cute and endearing and had potential as a flip on the stereotypical character; Zaush and Borba inspired greentexts that were alternate retellings of the stories that were pretty good, both written by Toga IIRC; and dotAluit and Comic made sequels to TIWTLLL that did a lot to roll with the idea.

Its good to know when something is bad, but better to know how to make something bad better, and lots of people could use more time focusing on that portion of criticism.

That's great, a tip I can give you is try drawing animals or characters (from top to bottom without their clothes) as it would help you memorize and better understand the specific anatomy of a species
Another tip to keep up the production rate is to make a small comic while you're at it as it would make things more fun, interesting, and people just love seeing that kind of drawings!

We have one of those here too, it runs ever since 1998. Remember watching it with my parents as a kid. title transalates to "among friends". Of course there was a bunch of cheating, backstabbing, spying, stealing etc, but there were a few loveble characters...

I'm fine with grimderp if there's a logical buildup and the themes are relevant to the world.

For example investigation, danger, and potential murders are more likely to happen in a police environment than say a highschool setting. That's not saying that any of those three couldn't happen in a highschool setting but it becomes harder to become believable as the overall plot begins to crumble. This mostly happens because any of those themes will never go away once you put those cards down, it's a more traumatizing event to students rather than to police who expect those events to happen. Unless you're very skilled at writing without detracting the credibility of such events you're almost asking to write yourself into a corner.
