My biggest worry when writing this was that I wouldn't do the characters proper justice, so I'm glad that I managed it. I mean, yeah the scenes were hot and all, but the setup/buildup to it was messily hasty to a cliche porn level of "Isn't there some other way I can pay for the pizza?" and the end bits got way too fetishy like with that mom-play bit. I guess the fetish stuff is all preferential stuff, but haphazardly shoving it in so quickly breaks character really hard.

Everything that's suppose to link the porn bits to the source material it's based off don't mesh at all to a point that it's all really out of character and jarring. It was like watching a square peg being forced into a circular hole. Also April just felt like a parody of herself the whole time. Like you had some random h-game cumdumpster with random April mannerisms slapped on every one in awhile.

Personally I thought that April's depiction was as close as possible considering the personality changes needed for a lewdfic, and the buildup lasted just the right amount of time. It provided context and reasoning and then built up to the good parts in a satisfying manner.

Only thing I can really say is try to have more build up to the lewd parts. If it comes too quick or unrationally it comes off as cheesy.

The big example being April going from "hey, don't be kissing bonnibel" straight to "so, let me wack you off instead" was really weird. It's a thing most people settle for in porn, but if you want to make people believe that this is something that could happen in the story it's based on, you'll really want to stretch it out and let it slowly heat up to that point. Like in this specific case maybe have them going from the lecture, to joking, then to casual flirting, into some awkward backpedaling, then some sincere outpouring of emotions leading into that tentative proposition for mutual relief. More or less use that scene with Cheeky offering Mike the raincheck as a reference for pacing.

Also, try not to rely too much on past character mannerisms or dialogue phrases or it comes of as kind of hacky. In new situations that weren't in the story, like sex, you're going to have to write them acting in new ways. Like I seriously couldn't imagine April caring about language while getting facefucked. Beyond that she was fairly emotionless and without personality most of the time.
