can someone explain the difference between sonas and ocs?
i thought i knew but i think i have it wrong. i thought sonas were basically self portraits (assuming "fursona" comes from "persona") except.. as an animal(eg Dobson's cringe-bear) and then ocs were. well, characters. aka not a representation of the artist (eg any character from zootopia)

Some people like both. Highcow likes both. He comes to the Threads all the times and talks nicely about both.
Some people only like the Threads. Reply, Numbers, Falke, IIRC they are only in the Threads. I don't think they hate the Discord. I don't know anyone who hates the Discord by name, but that's the benefit of being anonymous.

But I'm not going to bullshit you, some of the time its not. Maybe its a throwaway doodle. Maybe its a request thats not really anything to do with the thread, like a fursona not a zoosona. Maybe shitposter is spamming dox and they want to not post in the thread at the moment and they forget. Maybe its just shitposting with an injoke that the thread wouldn't get.

The biggest problem with the leaks is that the loser that keeps starting these pissing matches every fucking day likes to target content creators personally and goes out of their way to antagonize the people who contribute shit that keeps the fucking threads alive.
If this latest bullshit seems innocuous, it's not. Basically the person leaking information networked artists and writers share with each other personally decided to go "nyeh nyeh, I'm still in your secret club".
Maybe it hasn't occurred to some people here that people in the thread, content creators especially, are basically friends.
So what we're looking at here is some reject, likely a jilted autist or two who can't integrate into a social structure, basically has a window into a room where friends shoot the shit with each other while making zoot/non-zoot content.
