I like collars a lot, but a lot of people try to redo what Zistopia tried to do, which is to create a story about Shock Collars rather than characters interacting with each other.
Don't try to make the original movie work. It didn't work.
But great stories with Shock Collars exist. Circumventing the Collar, some Clunk stories, they're out there. I like collar art, too.

I didn't think much of the idea, reminded me of other dystopian settings with them. Then I read Zistopia and got "ehhh" over it because it seemed too... evil? Seemed less of a "control predators" thing and more of a evil council (which later turned to be one) kind of stuff, not very grounded. Then it started to get popular for the sake of making easy sad comics or pictures, that was around the time everyone was making "Nick and Judy collar" mini comics. Then people started treating it like a REALLY good idea, not just an interesting albeit too dark idea. Then people started treating it BETTER than Zootopia, which was pretty much the turning point for me for hating the concept forever. It got to the point everyone wanted a slice of it, even fucking Hello Bunnyburrows! added it. Now I'm kinda impartial, I can accept Pack Street collars. I don't really have the revulsion of hearing it on Comic's noir submission. Now I'm on a binge of enjoying Proto-Judy and Nick with them.

When I read it on long stories though, too many times it is fucking pointless and just there for "woe is me, Nick Wilde, collars hurt lmao" with a sad violin playing on the background 24/7.
