No, actually. Luna originally had no involvement with the story outside of abducting Lincoln in chapter three. Her letting him out in chapter five was supposed to be her last appearance.

The whole thing with her was that she was purely trying to keep Lincoln safe. No romance, no lust, no ulterior motives. Leni and Lori were this close to throwing down, Leni suddenly drops a bomb about how he's better with her than Lori, and then almost chokes him out. Before that, Luna tried to get Lincoln to flee upstairs with her while the other two fought it out, but he refused to leave Leni, so she refused to leave him.

From the episodes I've watched at the time, I portrayed Luna as being physically close with Lincoln. Touching his arm, sitting in his lap, 'mother-henning' him, all sorts of physical contact. That was just meant to show how close the family is to each other, as well as to contrast how she interacted with Lincoln, as compare to Lori or Leni

The final thing with her, the kiss and the breakdown, was because she didn't want to let Lincoln, her little brother, out of her room and her sight. But she trusts him to make the choice he wants, as well as knowing he'd find a way out sooner or later. She was terrified of what was happening between him and her sisters, but she had faith that he'd come through it alright. That's also why she made him look her in the eye before he left. She wanted to remember Lincoln as he was, as a little dork who bites off more than he can chew, but always means well. In case she was wrong, and something happened to change him.

I'll get to the reasoning behind Chapter seven in a bit, need to get back to sorting this recycling. Sorry this is taking so long. House sitting fucking sucks.

I sincerely think a spin-off series is being considered for the new family. And I do agree it sucks how little she was used. She could've been a far more interesting sidekick for Lincoln's misadventures, considering she wasn't just Lincoln but black like Clyde. Well, here's the thing. Chapter eight originally wasn't on the table. It was supposed to end at seven, with Lincoln going back to bed and dealing with everything in the morning.

Chapter eight came about because, as is mentioned in the foreword, it was for a guy who wanted to see Luna get a conclusion. And at that time, a lot of people were telling me that Luna was giving some strong hints to Lincoln during chapter five, so I ended up going with that. And also they did fuck, I just ended the story when the two of them went to his room, after Luna got a peptalk/encouraging badtouch from Leni, and Lori and Lincoln ironed out their issues the hard way, with Bobby and her attitude and whatnot.

Now, as for the original, planned-three-before-chapter-five ending. Well. You're not gonna like it.

honestly, when the author's nickname is "CaptainDarko2.0", you can't really expect much less than edgy.

but being honest i sorta like it for 2 reasons. first, because compared to his earlier works he improved considerably as far as writing and grammar go (dunno if it was from the reviews/criticsm he got or just personal initiative) and that's always a good thing. and second because it's strangely entertaining despite all the odd and edgy shit, it legit made me want to know how it would end. and it has it's moments like the hand through the vent scene. he sorta managed to give this "unsafe/uneasy" vibe to the house, which is pretty nice because it maintains the tension.

there's a lot to improve or outright remove, but there's way worse out there.

again, stigmate is more "composed". i can't say much because it's basically all spoilers but the character's behaviors is more interesting due to the setting and it's not as much of a random edge-fest because most of the edgy "dark" stuff is related directly to the main plot. it also has as i said previously a much better atmosphere in general imo (compared to the first part, at least). i'd say it's worth a read if you're bored and want some cheap entertainment, but the catch is that it's a sequel so you'd have to finish the first part. although, from what you posted you've pretty much already seen the worst of it.

Alright then. So a lot of people had a big problem with chapter seven with a seeming swerve in Lori's attitude. Chapter three made it clear that she wants Leni and Lincoln to be separated until the family comes home, and in chapter five confesses to feeling guilty over the abuse he took when he was growing up, feeling she was to blame for his hair going white. So why the one-eighty? Why does she suddenly give her blessing to her sibling's blossoming relationship, and even help them through their first time?

Well, look at it from Lori's perspective. Lori had all but broken up with Bobby after that incident at the party. She blacked out when the power cut and the lightning caught her flat-footed, and Lincoln was there to help her pull herself together. She doesn't remember what she did before waking up, but she has an idea when she feels Lincoln poking her from behind and copping a feel, along with more than a few lipstick marks on his face and chest.

Then lunch happened. She didn't expect Leni to fight back when she tried to pull rank. She certainly didn't expect her to nearly smother their brother just as they're about to throw down, and she absolutely didn't expect for Luna to wild card like that. And when she tries to break down the door and murder Luna, Leni takes her aside and has a sitdown with her. A proper heart-to-heart.

Leni tells her it's not her fault, that she's sorry too for everything she did, and when a bolt of sucker punches them, they both come to each other for safety and support, but Leni's too used to Lincoln's methods and ends up making out with Lori. With their anxieties and issues finally out in the open, the two sisters make peace, and Lori feels refreshed. She starts packing up a bunch of Bobby's stuff, all the while discussing plans with Leni on what to do when she gets back from a very important talk with her boyfriend. When she comes home, she and Leni will together talk to Luna, and if Lincoln's Ok, talk to him too. But they have to do it together. Lori makes Leni promise that she won't leave her room until she's back, and satisfied that her sister will keep her word, she leaves to talk about the party with Bobby.

Lori and Bobby talk, and agree to take a break. It's stressful, Lori feels awful, but also relieved that Bobby didn't fight her about it. He was guilty about the party, and what he did when he was drunk. And Lori accepted that it wasn't his fault. He was blind drunk, and Verity had her hair done up like Lori's to confuse him. On that note, making a confession, Verity was originally going to be Carol Pingrey until the very last second. Didn't want to use Carol use a go-to bad guy in this in the event I make a story about her.

Now, Bobby agrees to the break, but on the sole condition that she deliver two messages to Lincoln. Firstly, that he's sorry he did this to his bro's sister, and that he wouldn't have ever done something like that if he were in the right mind. And secondly, that Lincoln not take Bobby's fuckup to stop hanging out with Ronnie Anne. It's not her fault that this happened.

So Lori comes home, and what does she find? The power's out, Leni's wearing nothing but a cute purple sweater and Lori's "third date with Bobby" perfume and moaning up a storm. If she doesn't watch them like a hawk 24/7, they will take every moment alone to tear into each other like rabbits. And she knows that she's been having growing feelings for Lincoln too. She doesn't trust herself not to do something in the future. She peeked and almost groped him in the morning, after all. Now remember this part here, this is important for the other part.
