Heres the no bullshit answer.
There are people who do that.
Some are memeing. Im sure a few saw your post and began typing "MAN DO I HATE THE THREAD" in the hopes of getting other lurkers riled. Thats memeing and its their way of laughing off attempts to brew shitstirring between the Discord and the thread.
Then there are a few people who meme that shit every chance they get. They think its hilarious because theyre that kind of weird fuck who can only communicate through internet irony. They frequent venting and leave the server a lot.
And then there are friend-of-friend users who were brought on by someone or heard someone was on this server. There are indeed people on the server who have no clue there are threads. There arent many, but they exist.
Related to that are a handful of old timers who havent left but stick around and post art that has nothing to do with Zoot. The problem is these people trip over themselves to shit on people who make Zoot stuff. People used to complain but then people tolerated and even welcome them, which adds to the biggest problem.
The biggest problem is that there are definitely people who use Discord as their main hub, and the thread as some secondary thing. Theyre more attached to Discord than here. This leads to group think like when everyone bent over backwards to comfort someone who was (too harshly IMO) criticized for making aardwolf twin OCs. Yes, it was the shitstirrer, all the threads were terrible, dont even go there anymore, and everyone had a pissing context about how mucht hey hated the threads...
...until weaver said he didnt like it and then everyone sided with weaver.
Those people stick around Discord more and push thread people away. Just like the thread does the same. So no shit the Discord has people who like the Discord more and the thread has people who like the thread more. This is what naturally happens, people stick with what they prefer.
As bad as this all sounds, its still better that we have it.
