Based on what I've seen in the latest WIP, I'm opposed to gating options just because there aren't that many options yet and saying we couldn't have one option because it belongs to say a different stock could mean creating redundant options for various stock.

Instead, maybe have Trait Sets being more an end goal than part of the process and include more than just physical stuff like mental aspects like training, or have an arbitrary point value that determines if you're pure bred Stock or not.

Another option based on the beta we have, just say unless you have more than one Trait Set as per the Chimerization suboption, you're a pure stock regardless of what "roles" you can fill on a farm.

I probably wasn't being clear. I'm suggesting the Stock specific training or rather what you're like mentally/training/personality wise to be part of determines what Stock you are closest to being a part of.

EDF already has points built in to eventually score us in different categories, so it seems almost natural to use that to gauge how "pure" of stock you are. Honestly, if not done right it could just as well screw over Pure stock builds if the threshold is too low, but I don't see how exotic would be affected since exotic doesn't change Stock points at all, just the aesthetics of what you look like and what product(s) you provide. Unless you're counting the opportunity cost of using those time slots somewhere else.

I'm not trying to argue these are things that should be implemented, I'm just spitballing and trying to make myself clear on ideas to answer the chimera vs purestock question until I see EDF's answer.

Exotic would have to be changed to account for the fact that some species have crossover between the strict categories you suggest. Like goats and camels who can do both fleece and milk. Your system would penalize them for wanting to reflect their species by buying both fleece and lactation, because it would deduct from their 'purity' and lower their score.

You're risking the CYOA being less fun, with further gates and restrictions. Every time you open your mouth, you either suggest a new one or try to goad him into adding one. You've contributed nothing but negatives. You're one of those people who should develop a habit of never speaking up.

You can capture 1 goddess at a time but you ignore the whole Share draining aspect.

"Human" has become a minority. There's a handful of the originals around, but with all the little details off and changed and the huge shift in meaning on "humanity" it's uncommon to see someone who stayed Blank Slate.

In the early days after the shift, there was a lot of screaming and shouting and Oh No God Is Coming For Us Now. Some "Humans First" types tried to gather support to try and wrangle rights and divine judgement. There weren't enough of them left to get anything done on their own, nevermind enough to come to their side when the enormity of the change...and how little it mattered, became apparent.

The world didn't spontaneously explode in fuzzy, feathered orgies. Some bits of "Packs" and "Flocks" have come and gone, but seeing someone trying to be an "Alpha Dog" is about as impressive as seeing someone revving a motorcycle engine outside of a library. It's loud, it's obvious, it's obnoxious and pretty much just an attention-grabber that's expected from juveniles and attention-whores. Don't get me wrong; some people pull off the persona well and can do it without being abrasive, but there's fewer of that sort.

The real problem children though, weren't the Anthromorph majority. The weird ones started showing up and damn if it wasn't a mess the first time a vampire went a bit too power-trippy and started draining a city-block. The number of city and state-government officials who needed to get their minds unfucked to stop fucking succubi was embarrassing. A troll held up a bank, botched it, didn't get out in time and shot his way through busy streets; bullets hitting but regeneration making it moot until he was tackled to the ground by a handful of more civil orcs.

Speaking of orcs; Warcraft lost another big batch of subscribers but Damn if blizzard hasn't capitalized on trying to gather "The Horde" in IRL events. MGM tried to cobble together a LOTR styled bit but it fell on def ears by comparison, and there's some concern that overly zealous fans and followers might actually answer a call to war with the return of Warchief Metzen in his new, youthful green body. The Oath has been opened to everyone and it's gaining traction at the very least as a potential political platform in the western world. The PRC's response has been a bit more calm than anyone expected and there haven't been too many attempted or successful "mass purges" around the world.

It's been a few years now. Governments have either capitulated under a sudden spike in "Hero" activity or managed to snag enough loyalists together that the status-quo isn't "Which warlord do we answer to this week." There's still a hell of a lot of concern about anything with mind-affecting abilities. Law enforcement has been scrambling for anyone and anything that can detect and disrupt compulsions that've led to a rise in thievery, sexual assaults and psychological trauma. Psychology majors rejoice; as long as there's mindfuckery in the hands of meta-humans and the like, you'll always have a business.

I don't think we'll be seeing demonic politicians any time soon, though all sides are getting them for acting parts in political adds, beating the "even demons know!" meme to death.

On a more social level....people are adjusting. One year of walking out your front door and seeing all sorts of odds and ends has pretty much numbed people to it on a day-by-day basis. Those, like me, who get a fresh reminder every day in the mirror probably had a few steps ahead of the curve in that regard, but it took some getting used to.

People are still going to work, getting a paycheck. Some of them are doing it a Little differently; night-vision, better hearing and the like are much more common and it's opened up a lot of different fields for people. The "Cities that never sleep" have started rotating even more of a day/night cycle now that a big part of the population is outright nocternal. That sort of thing can kinda dictate who you make friends with, and I know I don't keep up well enough with some of my old pals; they're still Around but our schedules just don't mesh anymore.

You also meet the requirements to beat the secret last boss. It will be a difficult fight. But afterwards you will get the shiny NewGame+.
