This was great, love how Violet is still a bit overbearing but in a sort of fun way (at least to us, not so much Judy). She wants to know as much as possible, and will endlessly prod, but will still respect boundaries.

As a side note, I wonder what Violet's (and the other siblings) reaction would be if they knew Nick left Judy in cement the first day they met, considering Violet is adamant about murder...

Small detail, I do like Judy's "it wouldn't matter what he is". Recently, I have found myself annoyed when Nick and/or Judy have an attraction for each other's species, rather than just becoming attracted specifically to each other.

Went to Randy's Donuts with Canidae and her wife for the Zootopia event. It was very nice: Clawhauser's VA spoke with all the fans, Rich Moore shook everyone's hands, and both were great with kids. Cutest thing was a little girl with a toy carrot pen mimicking Rich signing her coloring book.

Asked Rich a question that I was hoping might be interesting or helpful for people here: What would you say to someone who's trying to do something creative?

This is what he said:

"There are a lot of people who do creative things, and there's been plenty more before them. If you ever feel like you're not doing well, you're disappointed in your work, you're worried you're no good, you think you should stop, you think you should just quit, you're not alone: everyone's been there, and everyone's thought those things. It puts a big emphasis on you being an AI and your relationship with your captain, and starting the game somewhat robotic and ending it as a completely independant being makes for a fantastic character arc. Plus they hint at it being a valid path in story, and it resolves a Chekhov's Gun that would otherwise go unfired!

You mentioned the being had green eyes, later you said brown? (unless I missed something)
You started early saying it was a 'man', it would have been better to leave that as a surprise for later by just calling him a 'being'. (unless this becomes a twist at the end- remember I haven't got that far).
There was a part where you are describing his bandaged arm, and the smaller bandages used for the smaller limbs, did you mean fingers?
This would work as a descriptive twist, if you hadn't already called him a man.

We get a lot of stories here by people from non-english countries, and we accept the different way they are written.
More practice will make your english better.
English sentence structure is different to other languages.

I write my stories in a text app, then re-read and edit before putting them up.
I usually add the '>' just before adding to the threads.
I still make mistakes :(
The basic story is OK, it is a bit obvious and predictable.
There are a lot of sci-fi 'blunders' here like everyone speaking the same language.
In reality, it would be more likely that he could not be understood even if he could talk, but his 'noises' would still get emotion across.
The fact that he has a cassette from his world, and Judy has a player from her world, and they fit is also a plot hole that most kids would see coming.
The idea of embedding music in your story is nice, although you may be showing your age with the choice?
Your comment about your eyes adds to this.

Yeah, I think I can see where this is going;
Start with Terminator, cross into Stargate, end up with Avatar.
Sometimes working more detail into small parts of a story, like how they eventually communicate, will tend to hide the obvious plotline.
This is called 'world building', and can be enjoyable to read even if based on a simple premise.
My first story was just a 'day in the life of' thing with Nick and Judy.
Basically had no real plot, but got down to the fine detail of day to day life, and how it is slightly different for a fox and rabbit, compared to us humans.
Things like food, pets, furniture, travel and the like.
These are 'comfy' stories, easy to practice writing with that don't need big intricate stories to keep them running.

And pronbably the whole "War for ressources" plot is a bit cliche, but that's why I created the disput under the organisation

Perhabs I should write next time something different, maybe due the TT of this week something comes in my mind.

So you wrote 'Perfect Pies (Don't) Exist?!
I listened to that a few days ago from Comicanon.
That was a good little story, which basically fulfils my earlier suggestions about structure and development.
There were problems as Comic pointed out, but the story came across.
And now for the freaky bit, and I need to explain myself a little.
All my past life revolved around aviation.
I've fixed, I've built, I've designed, I fly and I teach.
So obviously I should write an aviation orientated story.
I've been slowly building a plot where I wanted to used Gideon as a pilot!
My thinking was that after his 'speech' to Judy about being a jerk, I figured this is a practiced speech he has learnt to give after going through counselling to control his aggression.
I had figured that part of his 'relearning' would be to do something to prove himself which got him to learn to fly.
After hearing your story, my plan is to have him prove himself, by doing the 'dangerous' thing that his cooking teacher mentioned.
Having an inheritance also helps explain how he can afford to fly!
I hope you will let me work part of your story into mine?
As for the age thing, I don't know?
It wasn't so much the movie that brought this out of me, but discovering that people are writing extra stories to the film (and others) and doing artwork, and I just suddenly felt like I needed to be a part of it all.
When I read some of the (zootopian) classics, I just couldn't get it out of my mind.
I was surprised by the depth of the works and started to assume that the demographic was older than I would have expected.
But really, I think the classic works have been done by older fans that are actually a minority.
Most on here are more likely as you say in the 18~30 age group.

Yes, as far as I can self-report, I think "Perfect Pies don't exist" was the "best" I've written so far.
I know, I have to watch more about building structure and development.

I like your Idea and see great potential in your story.

I'm a person that reads and does mostly about History and Politics, a bit of Information Technology too but mostly the other two.
