I feel like a lot of su critical types are fairly young and still figuring out what they believe and why, and express that through petty infighting in attempt to establish an identity, as well as fitting in with their peers.

I think an interesting side effect of pretending to know everything about a subject you know only the tip of the iceberg of is the creation of a hybridized bastard version of whatever the original idea was combined with your own knowledge that attempts to fill in the gaps. Since most people tend to have similar political education in the US (i.e. poor), which is where a plurality of internet posters are from, this hybrid pseudo-ideology is going to look the same for a lot of people. I think part of the problem is that they go into a depressing tilt/positive feedback loop where, by never focusing on the positives and only focusing on negatives, their view of the world becomes a grim wasteland devoid of any good or hope. This causes them to lash out harder, spreading more negativity, continuing the cycle. One of the more infuriating things that some of these people do is that they will actively discourage celebrating positive achievements because "complacency", or if they do, it will be equal parts malice towards what remains unfixed. It creates a no-win situation where those who try to help are walking a thin tightrope where at the first sign of a slip they will be demonized and ostracized. I think this is partly where the ally hate meme comes from.

I like to imagine I am a pretty empathetic person, so seeing something bad happen to somebody, even if i think they are kind of an asshole, makes me feel bad. Yet so many people seem to delight in the suffering of others. It's fucked up to be honest. This attitude of no forgiveness makes sense in the context of a horrible act like pedophilia or rape, some people have decided that anything that could hurt somebody is deserving of the same treatment, which not only is completely insane but actually makes really terrible acts not seem as bad in a "boy who cried wolf" type fashion.

Well, yeah, the loss of individuality would kind of suck a lot. Inside Instrumentality, you construct sort of a virtual reality where you are always happy and content. It's a trade off between having a beautiful, pleasant, but ultimately fake and meaningless life vs. one filled with hardship, which makes pleasure and interaction meaningful.
I think the best attempt I've seen of the concept was in Deus Ex: Invisible War. I know people hate that game, but one of the endings had kind of a cool concept. Everyone is connected mentally to Helios, an ominpresent machine. Life goes on as normal, but Helios runs the government based solely off the wills of the people. I'm really bad at describing this because it sounds like the Matrix but I think it plays perfectly into the idea that we don't always make great decisions even if we know the consequences, but an impartial arbitrator wouldn't have that problem.
As for ideas that can't be expressed in words, I know exactly what you're talking about and its the most frustrating thing in the world.

Ian's show is premiering in a week. So after that's done, they might finally start pumping out the SDCC promo with an actual date for the next episode(s).

I think the boarding pairs, up til Zuke leaves, will be:

Jeff/Madeline (SMIP)
Zuke/Hilary (Rough Draft)
Paul/Amber (SMIP)
Lamar/Katie (Rough Draft)

The only variable here imo is who Zuke's partner for her last few episodes would be. There might just revert back to Zuke/Hilary, since that and Lamar/Katie are pairs that have been working together for a while. But if they don't do that, than we either get:

>Zuke/Lamar (they actually boarded "Chille Tid" together back in the day. Also, this would lead to at least 2-3 episodes with the former golden pair Hilary/Katie, which would be great)
>Zuke/Katie (not sure how this OR the Lamar/Hilary team's episodes would look)

Then after "Lars of the Stars" the board positions likely shift so Amber goes with Hilary, and Paul either gets paired with Lamar, Katie, or whoever comes in to replace Zuke. Poor Paul, his office those couple of months must've felt like a revolving door.
