Personally, I don't mind Nick being sort of the "butt monkey" because he could be pretty goofy in the movie at times, but I think the comic is trying a little too hard in that aspect.

Nick wakes up late for work and meeting with Judy. Nick doesn't pay attention to where he is going and runs into a vixen (though nice save on everything but the coffee). Nick turns into a stuttering mess instead of the cool con fox that he normally is (unless his life is in danger). Nick walks the wrong way to the garage. Nick proceeds to drive into something not ONCE, but TWICE.

Some of those could be interesting dynamics of his character, but put together it kind of puts him in a bad light.

You need to be careful though, I talk with several people on tumblr as well; while I am quite close to some of them (on a very, very personal level), I only see them as friends, perhaps pen-pals that I MIGHT get to see one day), and yet I never expect any kind of relationship to blossom from all of this (as people tend to pour their heart to whoever that seem to listen) plus it is extremely dangerous if you decided to push things to the next level and the other doesn't feel the same

Thanks for your comment. Not sure what I was expecting, just felt good to confess to people who might understand. I am pretty careful to keep things chummy with the author. We live extremely far from one another so I'm sure they would never think it something feasible, even if they felt the same way.

Started off alright, but the author only has one voice for any member of a married couple and it's nothing like the original character. Ever since they got married I can't really tell the difference between Nick, Judy, Lionheart, or his wife because they all talk exactly the same. Also it went from relatively basic "Nick and Judy gotta stop bad guys in the city" to "there is literally a shadowy Illuminati of aquatic mammals that are using any tactic in the book to prevent and suppress knowledge about hybrid kids" and it just kinda went off the rails. I stopped reading it.

Literally just the shitty hamfisted attempt by an author to ram polycuck shit into a decidedly 100% wildehopps series after trying and failing twice with the same series already. Contradicted its own prequel multiple times in the only chapter ever released, basically destroyed any sense of respect anyone had for their portrayal of Judy, was an all-around clusterfuck. The author basically skipped around singsong going "some people won't like this~" and then was flabbergasted when people didn't like it, to the point where they felt "driven off" and came back under a different name. For reference, the original story had Judy swear to herself that she would "never drag [Nick] blindfolded into the firing range ever again" after a disastrous meeting with her parents. It also explicitly spelled out that Nick was more than Judy could ever need sexually, to the point where random rabbit guys were coming to him for advice. Despite all this, the summary of Eloquence was going to be "Judy brings Nick to Bunnyburrow's Find a Boyfriend Who Isn't Your Husband Festival without having ever told him that rabbits in general do that sort of thing, also Nick can't satisfy her enough anymore, and Nick can't get her pregnant so Jack Savage is going to live with them and fuck Judy whenever he wants so she can have kids." Also foxes mated for life because abloo.

Remember that in Zootopia small mammals are a bit bigger than their counterparts. Judy is ridiculously big (more than 2') for a bunny, and her brothers are even bigger.

Character design, I prefer Zootopia's more feral appearance. Armello's designs and proportions are rather funky and inconsistent.

The clan system has to be expanded or changed. Instead of Bear, Wolf, Rat, Bunny, and Bandit, they could be divided by climate/ecosystem. They would still need a dominant trait for each new clan, though. Something like this:
Winter (hunting, survival)
Plains (farming, trade, mercantile)
Woodlands (construction, innovation, research)
Highlands (mysticism, magic, spirits)
Swamps and Marshes (dark magic, experimental medicine)
Deserts/Drylands (thieves, mercenaries, fighters)
The King's Castle (City of Zootopia equivalent)

Of course, elements of each clan can still be found in every town/city/area but it's not as prominent.

The Clans also define what animals reside there. So our zoot favorites can probably end up like this:
Judy = Plains (works at a farm, wants to be a royal guard, uses farm tools as practice weapons)
Nick = Woodlands (a barely-legit merchant from the Plains comes to the Woodlands for some easy gold)
Clawhauser = Desert/Drylands (probably works as a sword for hire, or local enforcer for gangs)
Bogo = Plains (farm hand who ended up in the Royal Guard)
Gazelle = Plains? (could be part of a travelling circus)

Dicking over other people is the best part of the game. Whenever someone's in the lead I do everything to knock them down a peg so that they don't get too far ahead, even if it costs me the victory.

Funny enough, that "one chapter of one thing" was probably going to be another cuck fest. The first chapter has Nick in jail for 10 years, where he was beaten and shocked by the wardens, after being arrested for murder. Everyone thought he had done it, including his wife Judy who had hit him with a taser set for elephant, and where it hit would probably never grow back fur ever again. New evidence shows up that proves Nick was framed and innocent. Judy is the one to deliever this news, and Nick is extremely bitter at her; he tells her to call him "Mr. Wilde" instead of his first time, saw that Judy changed her name back to Hopps, and asked her if she really thought all this time that he was the killer. Judy gets into her car and ends up crying while holding her stomach for whatever reason.

And apparently it was still going to get worse for Nick. As one person put it, this turns any more grim and the author will "end up in the unintentional comedy section."

I kind of thought you had to be 'recognised', have people comment (positively) about your work, and by default you, to be worthy.
I've only written half a dozen or so fics, and about as many greens.
I've at least sparked conversation in the theatre such that I think comicanon enjoys my work.
In fact I worry a bit that people might think I'm pushing him, as I've had a green in nearly every 'show'?
But I just put them there and let him decide if he wants to read them...
I play in the aggies, and I'm pushing myself to comic one of my fics.
