Plausible deniability. Not just to others, but to myself. I'm more comfortable pushing boundaries if the sexual subtext stays as subtext, and I can more easily tell myself that everypony's going to be okay afterwards.

"She got raped, but enjoyed it, and there were no long-term consequences" vs. "She got inflated, but enjoyed it, and there were no negative consequences" are both blatant porn fantasies. But people get raped in real life, while people don't get blown up like balloons. Yeah, fair point. I dunno, guess if I really had to explain it, all the shells and bombs and stuff are really just equatable to air compressors or bike pumps in my mind, just another way to get someone hugely blimped, albeit in short order and in somewhat specific ways. Don't do anything for me otherwise, the pooltoy Fat Man is ore appealing just because it's a huge pooltoy more than because it was the first-ever tested atom bomb design.

Though, I do like watching big explosions. Then again, who doesn't, really?
