Jack Savage is a competent government investigator, not some globe-trotting super-spy. Dry sense of humor, very deadpan in general. Gay but low-key, ashamed of it even though he knows he shouldn't be in this day and age.

Skye's a childhood friend, an excellent mechanic, very upbeat and cheerful. In love with Jack even though she knows it'll never happen, she's settled for being extremely dedicated to him.

Jack doesn't date much because of his own hang-ups about liking dick. Skye's not proud of it, but she's glad; if she can't have Jack then she'd prefer it if nobody else did (but obviously she's not the kind of person who would sabotage things).

Also, Jack can't actually shoot for shit.
