Ruby's semblance is ridiculously overpowered, if you think about it. She has absolute control over her movement and momentum, with no regards to gravity. Even Weiss has to use her glyphs to bounce around, and those don't offer the same level of movement, and require more setup.

Yup, I actually was at RTX for the friday panel.

Main thing that's different is we finally get to see weiss use osmething other than her ice and gravity dust.

She actually uses a massive fire wave attack at one point to wipe out like 6 beowulves in one shot. She's also more...elegant? I guess in this fight, like she's pulling off ballerina like dance moves as she runs out offing beos.

Plus she's a lot more brutal, several times she straight up dismembers the beos limb by limb and uses some creative gravity glyphs to ricochet off of other beos.

Gray mentioned we'll be getting a trailer for yang and blake in the coming months and that they won't necessarily be as combat focused as Ruby's and Weiss were. Really this trailer was more to showcase the new particle effects like the fire and snow that they've been developing with maya as they revealed as well.

She had this one thing where she dived from the air and stabbed her rapier into the ground, causing a star-shockwave of ice to flow out and up and straight up shishkabob 10 beos surrounding her. It is set in the past, and while Weiss is showing off more flashy stuff here, you can see she is really slow chaining off attacks. She leaves herself exposed and stands around in certain parts for way too long admiring her most recent kill. That's kind of how the trailer ends with her getting overwhelmed by the summons because she's not keeping track of all of the attackers. So yes she's showing off more powerful attacks, but her tactical/technical sense is pretty damn bad.
