I've been brainstorming the appearance of a Wendigo OC while making a collection of relevant references so I can request it here, but I've been having trouble coming up with something original . Every unique characteristic I come up with doesn't quite seem to look good, and the rest I come up with has already been done a lot.

Pic-related is what I got so far. I'm satisfied with everything on there so far.
I've mostly been experimenting with unique, yet not sparkledogly colors for the antlers and two-tone fur, such as subtle dusty rose. I think I'm pleased with the two colors on the bottom right: perhaps the lighter color for the mane and torso, which blends into the darker color towards the extremities. Not sure about the antlers yet, it could have two or more colors as well.
I also considered making the skull a different color, such as black, or using markings.

That's not what I meant. Hell, steal it. If you just google "Wendigo" you'll find multiple pictures that match everything I got so far. I just fear it may end up not to my liking or lack personal integrity. And I don't know how much directions I can give without coming across as demanding or severely limiting an artist's own input, who is doing it for free for crying out loud.

I'd love to see the neck longer and more furry, and the skull longer with more emphasis on the illusion of a grin skulls have.
What I forgot to include, is that he's exceptionally tall. Even in his usual hunched stance he slightly towers over most people, this is noticeable in the proportions of his body.
I don't have anything else to note, except for longer fingers.

Ana is basically the old grandmother of the team, wizened yet still battle-ready, you seem to have the same-ish idea for how your char would be when older. That's the gist of it, despite not enjoying or buying the game the lore is kinda cool and I've looked into that a bit.
However, the thing that bothers me a bit is the picture for your old character. >>10469801
Also, I understand it's more of a comment on the drawing itself but, your character from here your ref seems quite detailed and rather "realistic", making it feel quite weird when the cartoon approach of making someone old ie, midgetizeing them is chosen.
While very few cases of aging can be that severe, usually you don't lose half your height, a couple of inches to be sure and perhaps a hunch of sorts but nothing as drastic as in your old character picture. Especially if your character is very active and tries to keep active and ready to fight....
Sorry if it seems a bit nitpicky, just wanted to express that.

The "old" pic was something I picked up for $10 on a whim because A: cheap and B: half hour turn around time (!) I didn't want to complain because it was so cheap and fast and I told the artist to go wild, I like it when artists interpret things how they feel.
Rox isn't meant to be terribly "sweet" though. She's quite reserved usually and focus's on her own amibitons. I like the idea of her in her 40s, still hunting big game, even more distant from others as her collect-a-thon of trophies sort of takes her over and becomes her defining mark on history and the world.
I'm currently browsing artists for achieving my ~true~ vision of Old Catte but I like throwing out requests here/talking to the HOT THOTS here for a bit of fun.
