- The Forming of Teams trial begins, a great expedition into the desolate tundra of Atlas, La-Mantala!

- Alison dropped on top of a mountain in pursuit of the Egg of Mantala, the legendary (actually historical) artifact of Mantle! She must obtain it before Carmine does, or face inevitable humilitation in front of the entire school (again)!

- Alison gained Marsha gear!

- Alison was afflicted with scabies from wearing Marsha gear!

- Alison was afflicted with mange from wearing Marsha gear!

- Alison was afflicted with grah’n from wearing Marsha gear!

…it’s probably an incredibly stupid idea to entertain…but you really don’t have anything else to go on.

“Dora. What you were saying about…speaking to wildlife…can you…actually do that?”, you ask, extremely tentatively.

Marsha and Dora look at each other, then back to you. Then burst out laughing. It’s the first time you’ve seen Dora express any real emotion…and it’s at your expense.

You shake indignantly until the laughter dies down. Then Dora speaks.

“Yeah, I can, actually.”, and Marsha nods, approvingly.

…you pick up Dora by the scruff of the neck, whilst cradling Marsha’s in the crook of your arm.

“Would you care to do so, then? Before I do something to the pair of you that I might regret?”, you say with a smile that barely contains your anger.

“No need to get all upset in this weather. It’ll only tire you out.”, and Dora nimbly frees herself from your grasp.

She poses dramatically against the magnificent landscape.

“Perfect Survival Technique 3: Asking for directions in another language”

A small black bird lands on her shoulder. That’s odd…there shouldn’t be much non-Grimm wildlife in this region to begin with, never mind a bird like that…

…You give up. You’re trapped in the frozen wilderness with lunatics, and clearly the mania has spread to you.

But if there’s any chance of sanity in what just transpired, you might as well descend the mountain.

You observe the potential decent…on one side is not-too treacherous incline, that could probably be descended without too much difficulty…and on the other side…is a sheer cliff. You could probably drop the whole way down, Aura cushioning your fall…if you can all spare it in this environment.

…You note that the safe-ish path will lead to where Carmine was. If you want to get ahead of her, you’ll probably need to take the plunge.

And you throw the three of you off the side of the cliff.

You plummet down the mountain. Around the half-way mark of the drop, you think you briefly see a haze of technicolours and a giant cross-legged figure with rabbit ears, sunglasses and a sitar.

“Lo,man.Know me,and be-eth chill.“

…You don’t even want to know.

And then it’s gone, and a you smash into the snow at the base of the mountain, leaving a sizeable crater.

You brush snow off your shoulder.

“Well that could’ve been far worse.”

And then you notice the unnatural bulge in your (Marsha’s) ski suit.

Dora’s head pokes out the neck hole, right in front of yours.

“…How did you even get in there?”

“Instinct.”

“That’s not an answer.”

“Well it’s the only one I’ve got. Sorry. Also, look out.”

…You feel a trickle running down from your nose. Wiping it away, you see that it’s blood. The stupidity of everything that’s happened thus far is actually giving you an aneurism.

I really did think just going for it would help me get back into the groove, but just picking up again after a literal year kind of made me lose track of what I was doing even more and now I'm just writing nonsense. And writing the Bianca backstory didn't help wring the bullshit out of my system. It just keeps happening. Fucking around with Unreal trying to make a game isn't helping either.

I think I'm just going to have to space things out and plan it out better before I can start ad libbing and updating on the fly again. Sorry to everyone who was voting, but the next bit might have to wait until I've got my head straight. I need to brainstorm the narrative direction and character development and all that shit instead of just coming up with goofy crap with no real endgame in sight.

Maybe people could make some suggestions? What would people like for CQ and where it should go? I don't want to be demanding, but I'm kind of at a loose end, and some direction and structure would help a lot.

You may be onto something. Continuity is one of the hardest things to control effectively and something more episodic would be infinitely easier to write for that reason alone. Maybe I should do that for a bit...

Well, the latter two is pretty easy to do. The former two, not so much. I'm trying, though. Some things just aren't clicking at the moment, I'm really out of practise.

Marsha is almost a crutch for me at this point. I rewrote a bunch of stuff that got increasingly abstract using her as the premise behind it and it just didn't read well at all. I'm glad people are fond of her antics, but I feel she needs to be more of an actual coherent character at points instead of a loony toons character 24/7. Maybe that's more of a problem with my idea of her character than anything else.

And thanks for the suggestions, I genuinely needed them. And I don't want this to come off as some kind of drama, that's the last thing the thread needs right now after all.

These are just MY OPINIONS and in no way reflect or critique the writer's respective quests.

Glynda: She's the most mature woman in the show and has at least some maternal instinct (Her counterpoint is Ironwood).
With the exception of her riding crop (denotes some BDSM), she is no question a sexually attractive person since most of the women in the show is either batshit insane, annoying and/or straight up sadists none of which you would want to have a healthy sexual relationship with.

Peng: With the exception of being Grimm, she is virtually the universal sextoy (although her having a conscience is a plus or minus depending on the partner, for me it's a downer). Coupled with her sexual appetite as a shapeshifter, it is no surprise Todd fell in love with er.
(This is avoiding ALL her issues altogether since every woman in TQ seems to have a warped sense of self-respect I just chose the one that's literally a sextoy.)

I've got a moment, so as far as a custom outfit, it's my understanding that individuality was not the biggest thing in Atlesian society. That said, there are a few non-standard modifications that Izzy intended to make to her uniform by the time she'd graduated.

Now, as I'm sure you're aware already, she wears the male uniform. Her combat-gear is actually very close to a mixture between that and a proper Atlas military uniform.

However, it was intended to be bulkier and heavier than what you see on the infantry in the series. I'll post some references, but they're all just kind of loose ideas that would need to be put together by someone more skilled in the matter than I am.

I don't like broody fantasy settings like that, I hate "git gud" difficulty levels and when there are alternatives - like JQ, that too as relationships - I have no reason to play something I don't like.

tbqh, I'd rather play Dark Souls than Eventide, because a super hard difficulty works much better with a proper action-oriented battle system about dodging and parrying, where you can actually get better at the game thanks to muscle memory and stuff, than in a round based combat system, which is the only thing one can do in a CYOA.

"Ciel? Oh, she was supposed to be here..." The soldier answered, looking at Penny with a concerned look. "But she was sick from the strict schedule she had."

Sick? Huh, overwork must've hurts. Penny must've forgotten that she was sick, was it her programming causing her to think about this.

"Penny, do you have any oddities throughout the day?" Asking her, you're worried that something was up. "I haven't..." She hiccups.

From the looks of things, Ciel should've been here. Yet she was sick from the overwork. It would've been a headache now since I think about it...
