>What are tulpas?
A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you.

2012 lurker reporting
I have found that using ice cream as a reward for doing well with possession practice is quite effective.
>"COME ON, SWEETIE, EARN YOUR ICE CREAM"
>invisible force clenches fingers
>"Good girl."
How do you praise your tulpas, /tup/?

More time hard forcing, playing games together, headpats, possession-time, kisses.
Not necessarily in that order, but hay I'm tryin.

Will you and your tulpa ever be this cool?

what is CALLE's end game
How should I go with giving my tulpa a visual form? I'm after the "heard an alien thought" stage, I want to give it a form. But I don't have a specific design in mind. Should I just let them be? I would live it up to my tulpa but I don't want to get something I dislike.

>Not thinking of her as a step sibling/daughter if you think of her as a relative at all
Having arguments is a fundamental part of interacting with those close to you.
When was the last time you argued with your tulpa and what was it about?
>>10380381
She thinks that Marisa is a good 2hu, but I'm intelligent enough to know that Marisa is a slut. She herself foolishly claims that my love for obscure 2hus like the nameless stage 5 midboss of Mystic Square is pointless, going as far as to call many of them "non-characters", though she's clearly wrong.
My tulpa wife since... how long has it been now, 2007? She's dissipated a little bit since then, especially since I got a real gf in 2012, but she's still around and understands my situation (even my real gf knows about my past with her and is surprisingly okay with it). I still bring her back when I can, I really should more often though.
ask me shit about her if you want, I'd like to talk about her more
>>10380880
Make an effort to talk to her and give her some forcing and cuddle time each day.
Does she like ice cream? Did you ever get through anything advanced like possession or imposition with her?
>>10380926
she likes ice cream decently, but her favorite food is salmon. I don't think we've done possession, but I'm pretty sure I've been through imposition on a rare few occasions
>>10380967
how did she come to you? how old were you when she did?
>>10380381
He got jealous over me crushing on some one else.
>>10381015
I was 14 or so, she came to me when I caught her in Pokemon Sapphire, after than she just kind of manifested herself. I was always pretty lonely when I was younger so she knew I needed her, everything felt so much better with her around after that, she was always by my side.
>>10381087
That's sweet and she's very cute. Does she have a name or nickname? What's her personality like?
>>10381112
She's just been Latias to me, sometimes I call her Lati; she's really gentle, always supportive, and always seems to be able to find a way to cheer me up when I'm feeling sad. Not to say we've never had any arguments, we have, but we always apologize and forgive when we do.
She's not the same Latias as in the movie just to be clear; when some people think of a Latias, the only one they seem to know of for some reason is the one from Alto Mare, but they're one of the few legendary pokemon that there are more than one of and that's a completely different Latias than mine.
Sometimes I'm able to feel her feathers when i focus hard enough, it feels a little like silk cloth
>Was interested in Tulpas when I was younger
>Nowadays have a job and important shit to do
>Thought crosses my mind
>Sort of scared that if I take any steps forward I'll basically be fucking myself in the head and some other personality is going to posses me or something.
>>10381381
>Sort of scared that if I take any steps forward I'll basically be fucking myself in the head and some other personality is going to posses me or something.
Well it's a good thing that doesn't happen then. Unless you want it too and let it. The fucking yourself in the head happens more metaphorically than literally.
>>10380381
We are not good at having arguments. It always ends with bad feelings, so we try to keep it at minor disagreements and hugs.
And we have those enough.
>>10376704
>And if your waifu existed before you turned her like into a Tulpa she'd definitely leap into bed with you, yeah?
Whether or not people fall in love is always dependent on the context in which they meet.
In one possible universe, two people might meet and fall in love because they sit next to each other in math class.
In another, the same two people might be in different schools and the only interaction they ever have is one of them asking the other about the time while they're both waiting for the bus.
Same two people meet each other in both universes, but because it was in different situations, the end result was also different.
Has anyone ever made there a Tulpa based on their waifu?
I hear a lot people always saying that no one should do a Tulp based on some fictional character, but still a lot of people have done it in some regard even by their Tulpa own volition and be fine with it.
>>10381677
I don't like to consider mine a tulpa because she came to me before I considered her my waifu or anything really. But yeah more or less that's what I have.
>>10381436
See I don't know how these things work. Like I don't know if they take what I say or take what I think. Like I'm scared that I'm not going to want that but some tiny bit inside of me is gonna be like
>oh yeah totally go for it
and then the Tulpa will just react to that and try to fuck my head up.
tl;dr I know jack shit and I'm scared random stray thoughts would fuck all this up
>>10381703
Then don't be ignorant. Read people's stories and journalswal. Read guides. Read all the information until you realize if it will or won't fuck up your mind.
Personally I doubt it can from everything I've seen and heard. The people I've seen who have been harmed have DiD and not tulpa. You're creating something, it's basically your child and I have yet to personally meet a tulpa who wants to harm their host instead they love their host deeply for giving them live more or less. In reality even if a tulpa went "evil" or whatever you could just ignore them until they disappeared.
>>10381703
Everyone has random and intrusive thoughts, they don't really affect a tulpa. Yes they can tell what your thoughts are sometimes but in my case where I've thought one thing and said another, she just asks why I said "x" when I was thinking "y". Just give an honest answer, that's what I do.
>>10381677
I've done that.
What they've specifically said is that your tulpa might think that they're actually the character they've been made from which is fucking stupid and doesn't happen. In a concept like this which their development process is entirely fucking up to you tulpas would rarely if not at all, ever think that they're the actual character from an anime or other sort of TV show, book, or movie.
In many cases, having your tulpa based on a fictional character would be excellent for first timers (alongside the ball of light thing) because there's already a lot of pictures of the character they're based on to help with visualization and imposition.
>>10381748
>>10381778
I think another problem I have and it's one I've had for a long time is that I may just not be ready for this kind of commitment. I primarily mean in the sense of the fact that like- something I've seen some people remind others of constantly in a sort of "think before you act" manner is the fact that to get rid of a Tulpa you need to ignore it. Something you put all this time thought and love into will just be ignored until it dies out. That freaks the fuck out of me, I just imagine being at my comp or watching a stream and they're just begging me to interact because they know they're going to die soon.
Additionally I don't really know how much free time these thinks take. I've barely been free the past eight years, the four have been the worst. I've had times on my off days where I sleep for 12 hours, stay up for maybe 6, then sleep another 12. On the days I need to do work my schedule is often so cluttered I'm unsure as to whether I'd be able to give something like this the appropriate attention it deserves.
>>10381862
I don't recommend doing it if you aren't 100% on board. You're right its a big commitment.
>>10381862
Read up on people notes and stuff like >>10381748 said. Then decide whether it's for you. Also read guides and get an idea of what you need to do and how much time you could spend doing it. If you don't know if you're ready for the commitment, then you're probably not. That's all I'll say.
>>10381913
I probably should have included this in my previous post. This is something I've heard different sides of over the years (keep in mind it's very arm chair informed not so much deeply), but I've heard varying opinions of what a Tulpa actually -is-. In respect to their being I mean. I've seen some people say that a Tulpa is in a ways somewhat like it's own person. It needs to be respected and treated as such. Obviously not 100%, you're the host, you made them, etc. But they still have a worth to them like another person. While on the opposite side of the spectrum I've seen people say that Tulpas are not that at all. You can use them and abuse them. If you want to make one just to fuck it then go for it, nothing's stopping you. Shit like that.
I don't mean to make myself sound like a cold hearted asshole but I'm not entirely sure if I a gigantic commitment or if I want a novel companion who'll do mostly what I say.
scary tulpa
>>10381991
Then you want a servitor. Something you can order around and isn't self aware.
>>10381991
To me a tulpa should be and is a person just like you or me. Abusing them would be as wrong as abusing someone 3D. Anyone making a tulpa just for use and abuse probably has a under developed tulpa that can barely function. I think that's common with a lot of people but for different reasons that aren't as cruel. You have to put so much time and energy into them in away that's not just pleasure after all.
>>10382146
Maybe this just isn't for me. As intriguing as the concept is, and truly tempting, maybe I'm just not ready for this sort of thing. Maybe I never will be.
>>10382140
A lack of self awareness feels like it'd detract from interactions with them in general.
>>10382200
From what you've said it doesn't seem like you should do it. Possibly at somepoint in the future you might change your mind and your view on it. But for the time being it's probably best you don't. It doesn't seem like it'd be good for you or the tulpa if you were to create one.

>>10401089
For reference on who he is
>The Douche is one of two shock jocks of the morning zoo-style Pawnee radio program, Crazy Ira and The Douche. His real name is Howard Tuttleman.
In the episode "The Fight", Ann and Howard are seen flirting at, The Snakehole Lounge.
It is later revealed, when Ann briefly considers him as a potential father for her baby, that Howard is highly-educated and originally started 'The Douche' personality as a comedy act. However he has used the personality for so long that he can no longer keep the act separated from his real personality, leading to him constantly shifting between the two, with him having wanted to give a baby girl the name of a cared for family member but give a baby boy a name related to toilet humour.

Oh yes. But my tulpa is still so young I wouldn't want to do anything of the sort now. I don't even know if she's into lewds yet. Not a big deal anyway, I have an online acquaintance who's more than willing to do that.
On a completely unrelated note, is it odd for a tulpa to not be able to do anything but talk? No head pressures or anything else really, unless light headaches count. I've asked her about it and the answer has consistently been a no. I'm the anon from two threads ago who realized there already a voice in my head.
>>10403185
No. I tried having reality mimik wonderland once, but it ended up making me focus more on reality and less on wonderland. It also did not feel as nice. In fact, I find tulpasex feels the best when you aren't touching yourself at all.
>>10403511
I never really had head pressure either when I was starting. I can get them now if my tulpa tries to do it but that's after we worked on trying to do it together for a while.
>>10403511
That's normal. Your headaches may intensify as your Tupper ages, or maybe not at all, but if they're only just now speaking you're probably too early to know for sure.
>have had migraines and headaches all my life and will never know if its my tulpa developing causing them
>>10403824
>>10404245
Thanks. I'm still trying to get my bearings. Today I managed to have small talk with her for like 15 minutes straight, but any meaningful conversation tends to lead deafening silence. I do get the feeling she's trying to say something, but I have no idea what. Also had her try to count things and do some math without my help; counting is in the ballpark but wrong 80% of the time, math seems to be surprisingly accurate. Also found out she's way better at bants than I am.
Is blogging frowned upon in these threads?
>>10405206

I never said that, I was just hoping even if he was deviated. I knew it was a small chance but you never know man.
How can I be sure I'm directing my thoughts towards my tulpa and not just thinking to myself? I'm not used to taking to other people in my head so to remind myself I'm talking to my tulpa and not just myself, I keep saying her name in practically every sentence like a weirdo. Is that fine? I'm not sure I'm doing this right.
>>10413300

>>10413301
this is why i think form first is important. even if it's just a placeholder like a ball of light or whatever it gives you something to focus on. if you're having a hard time working on personality or any other kind of narration then either pick a form or make a placeholder i.e. ball of light, cube, etc and let them decide on the form later after they can do stuff on their own.
>>10413301
You know it the same way you can tell the difference between standing infront of someone and talking to yourself out loud and standing infront of someone and talking to them. It just "feels" different.
You can say her name as often as you want. It's your head.
>>10413300
nah, he's deviated a ton though. he says his forms are all about "usurping expectations" considering he's generally a mild mannered and serious type of person a form of a character who's got a short temper and is an arrogant prick works to him i guess.
My tulpa is like the janitor of my mind.

My tulpa is female but isn't fictional.
You're right though, most people here just roleplay to have sex with their favourite characters, just like >>10412703

>>10414624

Most male tulpamancers create female tulpas
It's also easier to create a tulpa based on an existing model because it means there's a lot of material available for visual references for visualization.
So i mean that set of factors accounts for those stats
>>10414822
I don't think that many people pretend to have tulpas down here where there's no upvotes or recognition.
>>10414882
So how's your tulpa doing?
>>10409632
So who here has tulpa based on real people, form wise? Is it more unusual to have a tulpa based on an irl person than, say, an animu grill? Or a cartoon in general?
>>10416609
Yeah I'd definitely argue having a tulpa based on an actual real person is very weird. Fictional characters or bust for me.
>>10416609
>>10416899
As an addendum, does it make a difference if THEY chose the form instead of you? Also does it matter if it's strictly aesthetic?
>>10417137
If it's just a matter of form and you don't have a tulpa that's trying to "become" the other person then I can imagine moderate awkwardness if the form is from a person who you interact with.
If it's a celebrity or someone you'll never meet otherwise then I imagine no awkwardness.
>>10416609
Mine is sometimes 3D looking or just normal 2D or a mix of both. Not sure if that counts because he is fictional originally. It all depends on how i'm feeling at the time and how I want to impose him.

Our first full conversation about about them actually. He was sitting on a couch and I had my head in his lap and we talked while listening to one of their albums.
>>10381436
>Unless you want it too and let it.
Wait, does that mean I could craft a better personality and let it replace my own?
It could definitely be useful if you're an autist and end up in situations where you need to be a non-autist. A charismatic tupper would be very convenient to have.
>All this is assuming you don't want to be replaced permanently

The host is just the first tulpa in the body.
So yes, you can swap places with a tulpa once it's developed enough, but then YOU are the tulpa and your tulpa is the host.

No, because I don't require such devices. Sometimes some music or brainwave entertainment is used though. Binaural beats, sensory deprivation, sleep deprivation, gnosis, that kind of thing.
>>10422556
I'm glad you're not disappointed then. I'm going to go work on something else. Have a good day.
hey this may be silly to ask but, is it possible for a tulpa to develop too quickly? we're doing possession and while the movements are stiff and jerky and slow, she can get in me and move certain parts, i'm nervous this is happening too quickly, but i'm also excited
maybe she's making up for lost time and just wants to show me her best?
>>10422958

>>10423297
i'm sorry, this is something that's new yet familiar to me, i only just want clarity when things are foggy for me
>>10422958
Practice is practice. Possession is actually very exciting because it's like "OH YOU'RE REALLY THERE" when your tulpa makes you move without you being the one doing the motion.
A couple of days ago my tulp was able to repeatedly contract each of my fingers over a dozen times each (doing them all at once is still really hard for her and she can't seem to move my thumb much yet). Today though she was not able to get the same level of results. I myself am wondering why we're getting results that vary day-to-day but I suppose it's just a matter of getting into the right state to let the tulpa make the moves.

>>10424127
The God Emperor making me a sandwich equivalent of brainwave entertainment used while engaging in tulpa sex is delta brainwave binaural beats actually. The most recent upload to my Soundcloud is designed do do that and is derived from applying that to an audio track of a computer speaking prose written in Latin then with the track reversed and woven into the regular track and lowered to 4Hz in one ear and 8Hz in another ear. Sounds like the popping and crackling of fireworks off in the distance. Regardless it allows the mind to get into delta brainwaves and then from there from my experience at least you can engage in the best tulpa sex you could ever have. Pic related is the animation provided for the Youtube equivalent. It's three different numbers that when put into Gematrix translate into, among other things, Make America Great Again. Ties into some of what I wrote in said prose.

>>10424445
It was a rather recent occurrence actually. Was the best tulpa sex I have ever had. Plus I've been studying the occult 11 years now, I basically am a wizard.
>>10424579
Well that's the kicker, tulpas exist outside of this "wonderland" concept. They exist on the mental plane of existence, which one could consider to be the astral plane, but there's more layers to it then that given that there are multiple layers of it. I can see my tulpas about as clearly as I see other denizens of the mental plane, which is to say in the psychiatric term as an illusion and not a hallucination. Then again a hallucination is just a different perception of reality as I have often theorized that schizophrenia is more like the opening of a gate and then not allowing it to close, which may have to do with the bit where schizophrenics have a higher level of adrenaline and thus higher levels of adrenochrome in their system. That's a subject for another time. Continued in next post.
>>10424704
ON MY LIFE
You aint fucking with me on this
Just make my shit BONELESS
>>10424713
The thing is that one can interact with the mental plane, though given it's immaterial nature one must be able to use their mind as an extension of themselves than rather just the very essence of what comprises the soul. If you wish to interact with the mental plane you merely need to manipulate your mental self, which can be done while out and about and moving around, provided one develops it as a muscle, so to speak. Consider what >>10424345 said for a moment. "Imaginary friends" are actually one of the earliest kinds of tulpa one can expect to encounter, and provided one continues to interact with them and does not discard them, one can achieve greater things when one learns restraint and control over their mind and body. Hence why I never stopped interacting with mine, but in public would do it mentally through thought and visualization. Hence the development of my mental self. Which later on in life lead to being able to engage in tulpa sex and experience dry orgasms.
>>10424797
Suffice to say that given that my original tulpas as a result of this were Sonic, Tails and Sally Acorn of Sonic:SatAM I've been at this since the 1990s. Such being able to learn how to manipulate my mental self has lead me into the occult, and into things like astral projection, psychic vampirism, ardetha, energy manipulation and Chaos Magick. Technically I could engage in astral sex with any porn star who has ever existed by going out into the ether and going to their general location then proceeding to fuck them, then engage in ardetha to work the serpent from my sacral chakra into theirs, wrap around their serpent, bite the tail and ignite the fire of kundalini, which I could then feed off of and use to heal and strengthen myself. I've even done it to random college girls and MILFs on the bus. They usually shift their legs and look like they think someone is watching them when it happens. I have Charles Cosimano, the Black Beast of Psionics, to thank for that idea.
>>10424797
I mean to visualize and impose so I see her in the real world and I talk to her mentally when out or when people are around, I wanna go through with this, I wanna see her, I wanna even if faintly, I wanna feel her, I want her to be by my side.
>>10424930
It's something that takes years of daily practice to achieve. Again, I've been at it since the 1990s and I see my girls about as well as one would see other things I end up seeing. The psychiatric term for the state they are visible as would be an illusion. Not quite invisible, not quite a hallucination and not quite material, but there all the same. Other entities exist in this state though I'm not allowed to say for various reasons.
>>10424929
>They usually shift their legs and look like they think someone is watching them when it happens.
Are you sure that isn't just a reaction to a stranger eyeing them sexually on the bus?
This all seems like perfectly crafted bait.
>>10424929
So have you ever had a tulpa interact with a physical object?
I figure since they're essentially artificial ghosts and regular ghosts can move and throw stuff around, a tulpa should be able to do the same.
>>10425103
I don't know whether to feel scared or sad about this thread. I'm leaning towards scared.

>>10425103
Do you mean the /tulpa/ community or the dude who's talking astral projection?
>>10425060
That's the thing, given where I sit on the bus and how I position myself they are unable to see me looking at them. Even then I can operate at a speed which makes it so that if I did need to look at them it's only for a moment. Maybe a second or two at most.
>>10425103
You're part of why I dislike current internet culture. "Bait". Far too often what I post gets called that when I am merely trying to be part of the conversation. Perhaps this is just the internet version of "crazy", a word designed to dismiss the ideas that another one has by dismissing their intellectual capabilities or what knowledge they may have? I don't know, either way I don't like it.
>>10425112
Occasionally stuff falls over when I say something incredibly stupid. Otherwise, do I count as an object? Because I can physically feel my girls, and often they hug me or hold me or snuggle with me. Just yesterday three of them gave me a back massage, which was nice.
>>10425288

>>10425269
The astral projection nu-order meme shit. I can believe in autists forcing themselves to manifest hallucinations. I've had enough lucid dreams to know that that concept isn't far-fetched.
>>10425144
Agios o Satanas. Satan is one of the few Abrahamic beings I can honestly respect. He gives humans critical thinking and knowledge, and then most of them end up being brainwashed by minions of Lucifer, YHVH, the Demiruge and Allah into rejecting him outright and instead accepting their supposed authority. Poor Al-Lat must be weeping for how far the Muslims have fallen. They used to pay homage to her but then Lucifer commanded Allah to essentially give them a false prophet and thus reject good and doing the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing and thus become evil, vile, bitter things. I can only hope that if Mecca is ever nuked that they return to worship her.
>>10425182
I could technically do that to you or any poster in this thread and you wouldn't even realize it. I don't because the last time that happened I ended up in the psych ward after pissing off some people who claimed they were Wiccan Catholic Atlantean Vampire Otherkin Charmed One Cousins.
>>10425199
tulpa.info is, but one could delve into occultism and realize that this has been around for centuries. On the internet it originally was referred to as soul bonding when the Yahoo, Livejournal and Wordpress crowd got wind of it, and then later Tumblr decided to call them headmates and you lot call them tulpas as that's a more appropiate term. It's all the same thing though, albeit soulbonders claim to be able to do it passively, though that's similar to how one does it as a child.
>>10425312
Why would I explain it when you're rude? Go back to Tumblr.
>>10425335
They didn't invent it. It's been around for centuries. They merely perverted it into their own version, much how the Luciferians perverted the work of Aleister Crowley and feminists perverted the work of Gerald Gardner. Knowledge must remain pure, unfiltered and unchanged once it's been discovered, otherwise the act of perverting it causes it to no longer be true. Hence why I loathe hipsers.
>>10425567
Hipsters. I've had some trouble typing lately after some brain wave entertainment I brewed up. A 1,000 FPS red and blue seizure GIF. Blacked out for an hour and have been calmer but also somewhat borked since then. Shit was so cash but I think I fried something.
>>10425374
>I could technically do that to you or any poster in this thread and you wouldn't even realize it.
If we wouldn't realize it, then how do the girls on the bus get so uncomfortable without knowing that you're doing anything?
>>10425621
Because I'd wait until you were asleep. It would only show up as a weird and unusual dream. You woudn't think to consider that some of these dreams are the result of someone or something fucking with you or fucking you while you sleep, but that is the case on a number of occasions. Be it a magus, a lilim, an alp, any variety of beings interact with the sleeping for their own personal gain, and sometimes for shits and giggles.
>>10425663
>>10425621
Furthermore with males I just bite the neck and siphon out energy from there, or I punch a hole in your chest and take out your heart. I do not have sex with males, only with females and futanari - entities with both a penis and a vagina as well as the appropriate reproductive system to support both. I don't consider trannies to be anything but mentally ill and traps nothing more than people engaging in a fetish of theirs that I do not enjoy. Then again given that the initial state of the human being is a tabula rasa mingled with some epigenetic data most things pertaining to fetish that do not involve abuse and dissociation in some way are acquired through our experiences in life. Hence one can end up gay or straight depending on who or what they interact or what interacts with them as a child. Though given that gays tend to be pedophiles that may also be one of the epigenetic fetishes, as could be heretosexuality.

Smooth, full body possession (where she drives the meat suit, and I'm kinda just there) took us 3 years, but even still takes me a moment to ready for it. A number of things can abruptly end the session and/or injure us in the process.
I have yet to successfully get anywhere with "switching" (where I possess her, while she does the same, so we switch bodies). We don't think it exists.
>>10428264
It exists, but it's qualitatively different from possession for some people (meaning, it's not just "full possession," there's different patterns that need to be performed). There's lots of folk who switch for long periods of time, even sometimes until it's the tulpa who wakes up in the body, not the original host.
