I never quite understood the hate for that scene; Nick didn't suddenly gain super strength or anything. He took the nighthowler which turned him into an aggressive, hostile animal. At that point, the drug would make him fight everything that he deemed a threat until he couldn't move anymore. He didn't fight the Lynx bad guy, he bit him in the neck when his back was turned. After that Nick went after the ferret, who proceeded to beat the shit out of Nick until Judy threw a chair at his head, distracting him long enough for Nick to grab him in his jaws and shake him around.
