Weiss and Blake have different goals and will likely avoid Ruby and Yang. Well, Blake will, Weiss probably wants to meet up with Ruby again at some point.
JNR are pretty much irrelevant unless Oscar joins them as the new P, and at that point I kinda expect some odd interactions between Jaune and Oscar.
Yang will be good if only because she'll be looking for Ruby, I look forwards to her reunion with her little sister.

An informal free-for-all would justify most match-ups if it's set when CMEN were undercover. If that doesn't work I guess they could not worry about a story or canon, but I'd much prefer at least a minimal story.

Pretty much what I expect to be honest.
We don't have any details at all, for all we know it'll be set in V4 time just to have the new outfits.

Chances have though, it's literally just an excuse plot so we can have everybody fighting.
Personally, I want to know what the intros will be, some of the fun with fighting games are the unique character intros you get.

Although I bet Jaune will be given the Bang treatment, have his moment but ultimately be there for fun rather than serious story moments. When Pyrrha isn't involved anyway.

Wouldn't surprise me if they actually were phasing out the Space Manlets, lorewise they made it very clear that you can convert old marines into primaris and the space autist talked to Rowboat about how he wants to use the Traitor Primarch geneseed because important part of 40k is going full retard.
So there's clear path to making Primaris standard for both sides. Only problem with this is that they have pretty different statline which makes it a bit weird replacement.

This what I can gather on Weiss' semblance:

Her white glyphs are her base glyphs, and those are the ones she generally doesn't need dust for. They can accelerate her, and be briefly used as platforms. They summon, but that's advanced. They also have the ability to intricately shape dust. We can see this with the ice fist, and the Chibi skit where she makes an ice sculpture with one. The dust sculpting ability isn't really an asspull because we know hunters can use their aura to make dust turn into ice/fire/whatever/, and semblances are really just an application of that.

Her colored glyphs are her dust-infused ones, and so far we've only seen two. The black one is a gravity glyph, and can be used to manipulate gravity for long periods of time, unlike the white glyphs, which only allow her to stick to them for a short period. The haste glyph is lighting dust infused, and basically just speeds up your reaction time.
