I'd say so if you enjoyed dishonored 1. I really liked it for the story, which was still great, but the gameplay was just as good, with a few tweaks to make it a little harder (for example you need a certain bone charm or rune upgrade to blink and still be invisible).

Definitely worth your 20 dollars.

Someone mentioned games they could get on the sale last thread so I should recommend

It's an rpg game that has button combos, skills and general turn based battling, with every fighter being a form of martial arts. (And there is quite a few party members) And I see we've got some Drakengard/Nier posters, so of you like Taro stories you might like this.

One thing I really like about LISA is that your choices actually matter. The game takes place in a post-apacolyptic land, and you can screw yourself or others by the choices you make. And some choices can be -hard- to make. (For example, give up all your items or your only party member?)

Again, highly recommended, I found out about it thanks to being a hidden /v/ gem (which they shockingly enough still like the game).

AWSW was definitely a major factor, it was thread after thread of people going on and on about that dumb game. It is dumb too, it's just a romance sim that just so happens to be scaly bait rather than anime bait this time around. I'd say the MH posting wasn't as bad as the never-ending AWSW shit, at least MH posters could empathize with the fact that no, not everyone played their game.

I suppose /trash/ as a whole has also had a decline in quality as well. Early in its life plenty of people were like "fuck yeah this is cozy", but since board's presence became common knowledge I've seen a fair deal of "I miss comfy /trash/". Which is fair enough, although that or even a board deletion was going to happen sooner or later. For the most part though I think we have a pretty alright run.

The creation of the occasional dedicated Monster Hunter thread is generally done to soften the blow on /scaly/ when necessary, so assuming you have a neutral POV on the IP, those are probably why you think better of it if Tamanon isn't a factor. I honestly don't think AWSW made any impact at all on these threads. They were discussing the game in one or two threads at most before they split off into their own general. The discussion really didn't bother me at all, in fact it was kinda nice while scaly was so slow.

I think the real issue is just this board aging. /trash/ used to be some tiny corner of 4chan that no one knew about, but after all the namedrops on v and tg and probably countless other places I don't know about, a lot of shitters know about this board.

You can see a similar pattern in /tg/ as it evolved from the early days. Now it's a completely different board than what it used to be back then.

So I don't really think there is any recourse. It's just a board aging until it gets bad enough for people to leave for somewhere else.

To be fair I haven't played either, so my perspective is based on the trickle-down river of shit that comes from the fanbase. AWSW was a special kind of phenomena that concentrated and amplified what I said above, every time a niche dating/romance sim (more on this later lol) comes out it tends to "concentrate the autism" for lack of a better term. I think those namedrops did happen because AWSW happened, they were a thing before but their frequency increased afterward. It was inevitable, the board is aging as you (the first guy) said, but if there hadn't been a singular catalyst it might not have been so jarring and disruptive.

Field Medic is one hell of a carry class, but success still depends on how dumb the other people are too. Unlike KF1 the healing darts are so much easier to land and the medic pistol is so affordable and lightweight that most people will pack one, so on top of crossperk stuff there's some diminished usefulness of the perk. Though it shouldn't be as much of a problem for Suicide and up, on the other hand you can't depend on everyone carrying even just the medic pistol, it's especially more prominent during free weekends where the wave of players haven't done any research.

The M4 got buffed recently to do 30x7 per shot and the weight was reduced (8 > 7, still considered too heavy by some apparently), the HMTech-301 still does 20x6 which is the same base damage but one pellet short of the SG-500 and AA12. By comparison it's still a unit lighter and uses magazine reloads, but with the considerably weaker damage you'll likely chew through your ammo a lot more faster, even as pure medic it's really easy to run out when you consider the deep ammo pools of both the Medic SMG and AR, the two of which aren't overly prioritized crossperk weapons either.

Also, at that stage in the game the other Support options for the same or even less dosh are just really solid, even the starting weapon with is pretty great. But that said I haven't checked in-game to see how expensive the ammo is, which is actually a very important aspect for Support, so maybe I'll do a solo run later and see how it goes.

Huh, I was about to say the wiki doesn't show ammo prices, but then looking at it more, it just doesn't show it for the HZ12 Multi-Action. I want to play around more with that shotgun.

Definitely, it's something of a luxury option. The SMG is weaker than even the MP7, and the AR is about as strong as the AK12 but with more recoil and competes with two other Tier 4 weapons. The Gunslinger probably doesn't mind the pistol so much since not only they'll carry one anyway, but it's also effectively a marginally stronger 9mm with its own ammo pool. On top of that, they're not the 1858s either.

As for the numbers? Everyone pretty much gets the raw stats off this spreadsheet, it's very usually up to date.

Personally I find things like these interesting to go through because you can see what each skill in the game isn't telling you, like how a 25% boost can actually be 33% due to how it's calculated or that the zed-time skills for Demolitions can give you self-damage immunity, but the game doesn't tell you that. I had a similar experience with AoE II's tech tree.

Mm, I see. I think I need to start branching out to some other perks and try them out, I've been stuck with support and medic, but it would be fun to try some pistol whipping or just standard commando, maybe SWAT..
