Mediocrity, honestly. There are a lot of obscure scalies that barely have any art, and what art there is isn't always very good.

Otherwise, making a scaly so anthro that it loses it's scaly features, bonus points if even the head has an uncanny valley feel to it.

It's the basics, really. Most lines in that drawing except the wings are kinda wobbly. I can also see a lot of corrections, try to use a single line for a single curve.


As general advice, and Iit's probably not what you want to do, go to drawabox.com and do the lessons there. They won't let you draw raptors for a while, but you'll get the hang of more confident line work and solid geometry.
