IMO, I find when you draw the pupil contracted and the iris light enough to make it obvious it ends up creepier. Lower part of the eye is also important, some people add more detail there too to show tiredness or unhealthy state of mind.

Do you have a recommendation for exercises or an online program/series someone who wants to learn how to draw can use to practice? I'm on the level where I can't even do basic shapes well so any advice would be nice besides "practice" since that's what I'm doing right now by trying to fill a sketch book with basic shapes, I just want some more structure

Y'know, with it's high density of Predators to Prey Pack street probably would've been one of the safer places to be during Bellwether's plot.
Like, the entire point of the thing was to make Prey afraid of Preds, so having a Pred attack other Preds makes next to no sense.
Though that does bring up the question of Why Dora was targeted and not someone at the Apartment, because one of the few Prey inhabitants of an majority Pred neighborhood getting mauled is just the kind of sensationalist headline that Bellwether's plot would need.

Plenty of mammals, including foxes, already eat insects as part of their normal diet. It isn't too far of a stretch to think that they would expand on that and make it a common food source. Prey would probably also feel more comfortable about predators eating insects, something that is very far away from mammals, than eating birds, creatures that somewhat resemble mammals more than bugs do.

Zootopia as a city looks like it's from the future or at least an alternative present that adjusted to accommodate that type of society. Insect protein was already a big part of many carnivore and omnivore diets, it'd make sense that that tradition could develope from a niche market to a widely consumed food source with a supply chain easily controlled.
