Basically it is a love triangle fic between Nick, Judy, and Gazelle. Nick and Judy are at the "I have feelings for him/her, but afraid they don't feel the same" stage. Nick saves Gazelle at a concert, and she asks him out. They go on a date, and when asked by Judy how it went, he gives a vague enough answer to where Judy thinks it was a bust. She then asks Nick out, "as a friend", to a concert, and he enjoys himself. However, Nick still thinks he doesn't have a chance with Judy, and agrees to go on another date with Gazelle without Judy knowing.
An arctic fox OC, who is super muscular and has tattoos, shows up as a defense instructor for the ZPD. He immediately starts hitting on Judy, who blushes a lot at almost every single thing he says, and asks her out. She declines because she still has feelings for Nick, not knowing he is dating Gazelle at this point. Despite feeling jealous, Nick still doesn't act on his feelings for Judy. And that is where the fic currently is at.
Probably going to go the route of Nick and Gazelle date for a while, Judy and fox OC date when Judy is crushed by Nick dating Gazelle, something tragic happens, WildeHopps ending.
