I'll pop in here and contribute my two cents:

One, people didn't communicate openly. That was a major killer.
Two, we had more than a few right-fighter my-way-or-the-highway mindsets butting heads. That combined with the above was not promising. It was really a matter of time until things went boom, and I can't help but feel like my departure contributed to the final conflagration. If anything, I wasn't there to help cool tensions (was asleep, then on a trip to outdoorsy stuff)

Three, the people in favor of action wanted to drag comfy people into it and the comfy people were paranoid of being dragged into action.
I ran the MCD, Police Chief Thorpe and Hugo Butterson, and Deletman plots, and for the most part one could engage or avoid at one's own discretion. There were a few exceptions and instances where I mistepped, and I readily admit that, but I tried not to deliberately single out comfyposters for Antag Action.

Honestly, I'm surprised we lasted as long as we did and I met some cool dudes here. Like, I hope to keep in touch with some of you bros.

Thread was pretty much split into two groups Rp wise: those who preferred super serious RP with death and drama, and those who just wanted comfy freeform to relax a little.
The serious people would try to pull the comfy ones into plot, and the comfy people would be too paranoid to get involved in anything because of it.
