We've been told multiple times by Hasbro before that they budget their paintjobs by wave instead of by figure, It's probable that painting Dinobots is simply cheaper because you only need the same set of color for all of them and the less different colors the more you can have of each individual color.

I know most of /toy/ shits all over Warden, but he's 3 for 3 as far as I'm concerned. This trilogy is probably the best one made. Just wish the plastic quality was better. Regardless, anyone who doesn't think this line is fun should probably stop collecting TF's.

For one they are cool in concept and are the closest transformers have got to putting dragons into the series without shitting it up, for two I forgot how terrible the kibble was on them.

In IDW, a Pretender shell really is not the same as an exoskeleton.

The Magnus armor, for one thing, was developed thousands of years - maybe millions - before Pretenders were developed.

His armor makes him more powerful - obviously - but it is not comparable to a Pretender's abilities.
