Huh, had no idea they were smaller. I have a few Destiny figs and they're just a tiny bit smaller than the Halo ones I have. I guess it isn't a big deal to so I haven't noticed that they were meant to be scaled differently.

That's not so bad. Too late to lower the size of the CoD guys, but if they were to equalize the human heights then have Destiny characters and Spartans and the like slightly larger that would work well. Either way, they're close enough that I don't mind. He-Man and other characters from that universe being a bit bigger would have been a plus though. They're certainly bigger than the average human.

I don't know, but my theory is that they didn't want to alienate old Halo fans with the new figs.

So, the old Halo figs were pretty small. They introduced CoD with better articulation and slightly larger figures. I guess the figures were larger to acommodate things like pouches and magazines and whatnot. Of course they were going to move Halo to the new articulation, but if they changed the size to CoD, most of the old sets would not be usable with the new figures ( I remember people saying they wouldn't buy any new articulated figures or sets, as it would not match the hundred of minis they already had), so they just added the articulation but kept the smaller size. The fact that tmnt, terminator, star trek and asscred are Halo sized makes me think that's the "correct" size, and cod and destiny are outliers.

Then again, maybe it's different designers and mega just doesn't give a fuck.

I think it has to do with legally competing with Lego. Like lego has modular figures that are the same across the board. and in order to not get in trouble for taking lego designs they have to have different variations in size and the way they work so it doesnt step over Lego's modular toy man design

Theoretically stoked, IF they focused on "war" sets or even videogame-themed sets.

I would worry about them doing too much with the cartoonier shit - but they could theoretically do two lines like they do with Ninja Turtles, and it could work.

They're both Fox properties. Alien vs. Predator as a franchise basically exists because Fox licensed both franchises to Darkhorse, and some Darkhorse execs had the idea of combining them.

Predators would definitely be cool in a future wave. Going by what they've done so far it would likely be two figures, one Predator and one human. So probably the Jungle Hunter and Dutch.

Hopefully we get more Alien figures, too. I want a Ripley more than I'd say I want Colonial Marines, though I do understand making them as they can be army built.

Yeah, but living outside US makes it expensive to get them. They were available in amazon mexico for a while, so I ordered the spider tank, resistance soldier and the grey guy, just to check them out. By the time I got them, all terminator sets were removed.

Got the ctf arctic warthog today. My second vehicle besides the banished brute ghost and i like it a lot more.

The scale is better than most of halo vehicles ive seen, and it came with a bunch of magnums and plasma/frag grenades (Brutes not included)

The suspension on this thing is killed and it looks great loaded with spartans

Mega came through for me again, I had a tread on one of the CoD drones break apart all by itself so I requested a replacement, never got an email or anything but it showed up today in the mail. I had stapled the broken one together as a stopgap but it was hardly an ideal fix.

The last couple times I've requested parts there's been no email, before that I had a couple requests where I got an email saying they'd mailed me the part when I'd already received it by then, been years since the system worked more or less correctly in that aspect. Maybe when Mattel took over they figured rather than fix it they'll just mail the parts and not bother with emails.

The more I think about it, the more I think they'll repackage older figures in the heroes line. A colored Eastman Leonardo and Shredder (or Casey Jones) would fit nicely in the line.

That's what I just did. Considering the MB minifigs are slightly smaller than the Minimates, it should work perfectly.

I got the TMNT Rocksteady villain pack on clearance, and one of the ball joints on one the Foot Ninja's hip pieces is too small to pop the leg on. Sometimes you have to enter the number 3-4 times before it goes through, happened to me with my last request. I tried the number for the Rocksteady pack just now (DMW28), got the error message 3 times and it reset all the info sections but after the 3rd time it retained the info and went through on the 4th.

This thing is HUGE! Just finished the second section after not building at all for like a month. It's a bad parenting day as i just sent my kids off to play on their tablets for like 6 hours while my wife and i watch orphan black and i build this. The tool box thing i got was a massive help in speeding up the building. Highly recommend something like this for building big sets without numbered bags.

It really is. I'd suggest GIJoe, with Hasbro trying to bring it back, to be at a similar scale. I feel like the collectability and smaller scale vehicles would just lend itself very well to that property. Huge armies, bases, vehicles, I think it'd have some good potential. Only issue would be those who'd take offense with the size. Though the 4" ones could still continue too, for that greater deal of articulation and sculpt.

I can't wait to see how the new scale Acid Rain stuff looks with the Mega stuff.

I have hundreds of mega sets, from old halo, cod, destiny, terminator, etc. I just bought this blackout ops set and it dawned on me; this is the stuff I dreamed of as a kid. Shitloads of soldiers, past present and future, bumch of water, land and air vehicles, interchangeable parts, customizable weapons, I mean, holy shit. I am also very drunk, but I don't think that takes away from the greatness of what mega is doing.

Now, in a few weeks, we'll be able to go to the store and get compatible aliens and he man figures. With this awesome articulation, I mean, for fuck's sake, this guys have more articulation that basic star wars figures. I really feel like whoever designs this guys really does it because they like it, not just to put another toy on the shelves.

Anyway, yeah, the blackout ops, highly recommended. I hope more sets have the laser attachment in the future. It looks really good.

Getting Halo Mega Construx stuff in Germany is not too usual but I picked up four Foxtrot blind bags for 3€ each today.
