TLK Toyline is dead, dude. We've seen everything there is to see. Maybe you'll get them next year in the Bumblebee toyline.

Wait, so was the blurry TRU exclusive list with Infernocus/stealth jet Megatron/Onslaught a fake?
>no /tfg/ in the title
>no complete OP with latest news and linked leaks
>clearly just made to open up with your own (albeit creative) OC
I'm not going to shitpost and desert this thread like other faggots do whenever they see an OP they don't like but the next one better be done well.
>>6465109
>better be done well.
Mmm, nah!
>>6465103
Yup, it was debunked in the same day it was published.
>>6465111
Aw, that's a shame. At least Nitro should be soon out in my country.
>>6465109
If this post is not autism I don't know what is.
>>6465109
Its ok my friend, we'll get to make the OP in proper next time.
Won't be me until some good news is up though, I can't be fucked waiting until this thing has dropped into the 8th row after 300+ post and would rather bump up with something news worthy to skip over the fact I pulled the trigger too quickly

Lazerwave, pls.
>tfw your haul was godly
Not all in shot because half isn't tf related and half of said haul is still in the car, gotta say this was the best of the entire lot.
>fully articulated fingers
>light up/sound effects
>decent god damn ratchets
>Spring up gimmicks I actually like
Kibble aside I love primus, it seems kinda a shame he's gonna just be in planet mode all of the time acting as a diorama, not bad for $50usd...shame I was forced to use ebay's global shipping program though but hay only one that was 95% complete (don't need manuals or boxes).
The other one was mp38 primal anime version
>fucking paint EVERYWHERE
>white scratch marks out of the box
>swords are painted purple for god knows whatever reason rather than purple plastic with gloss injection
I will say this, the sculpt is amazing, what he does is nice, its just a double edged sword with the choice of matte black, should have been GREY paint black plastic but that would take away the premium feel from him eh?
His transformation though takes more effort than expected, he ain't no mp sideswipe that's for sure, but I don't have him for it, its just kinda scary.
>>6464523
I wish I could get into my Artfire's hips to loosen those ratchets but his crotch-piece is held together entirely by glue and I'm not fucking with that.
I don't get why they'd put such strong spring in him when Inferno and Grapple's hips were perfectly fine.
So apparently MP Ultra Magnus is getting a reissue
I'm not even sure if I want one anymore, I'm kind of happy with my LG Ultra Magnus
>>6465160
As an owner of both (well mine's cw because SALEZ) it depends on preference, the mp looks amazing, fucking big, carries presence, diecast in the right places as well as rubber tires, his articulation is however limited to him being a slave to g1 show accuracy and why he does all you expect him to do no oc crazy stuff.
The leader class mold meanwhile makes a better play piece with his go-go gadget arms, much more free acrticulation, can still work as a car carrier like the mp and unlike the mp and its "head plate" tribute to the white prime he comes with the mini dude alpha trion/minimus ambus that homages white prime as a separate piece.
MP works better as a display piece showing your bottomless wallet, the leader is simply more fun, but if you find yourself thinking too much about the mp you might as well, I had that problem, now I own mp delta magnus, then the cw, and then pounced on one from mandarake for cheap, a substitute for a desire doesn't always work
Gnaw is fuggin neat. Gonna get Skullsmasher & Mindewipe for nostalgia. Any must have TR deluxe/legends?
>>6465164
MP is also more in scale with the Combiner Wars Constructions, as demonstrated in this picture.
>>6465181
Triggerhappy, you can't go wrong, his retools lack his "wow" factor however but are needed for the full trio

>>6465209

>>6465218
A lot of the new figures were apparently good though, I've seen quite a few people enjoying them.
>>6465211
Its a shitty thing to use, BUT in g1 he was the same size as superion.
Really devastator was always going to be the oddball being the 6 man combiner who wasn't apart of the original 5 man "free combination" teams, least predaking works since his g1 toy was so big
>>6465209
Everyone called CW Devy a bunch of upscaled legends, but you don't see anyone downscaling it. I do like the idea of a Devy made out of legends scaled figures though, I wonder if I should get the KO Maketoys Giant.
>>6465205
god fucking dammit, why did they just slap the new car on the old as shit mold? I like the new legs, not the old as fuck bumper calves bee.
>>6465221
>>6465221
Fun fact: Devastator's rival was originally going to be Raiden.
>>6465230
TakaTomy's not-transformers Trains are so parts-formy, they should just do a 6-train Raiden already.
>>6465181
Topspin or Twintwist are pretty good if you can accept that their alt modes are essentially just hunks of random technology arranged vaguely into something jet-propelled.
For Legends class, I'd recommend Brawn and Seaspray. Brawn's got a good look to him even if you don't use his Titanmaster release to Pretenderfy him, and visible head aside, Seaspray is all around a cool representation of him. Im still kinda losing it over the fact that they gave him an arm tat referencing that one time he went to Atlantis.
>>6465211
>>6465209
Imagine if they for some fucked up reason they released boxed sets colored after those actionmasters that are clearly meant to be solitary bodies for combiners, like a Bruticus set themed after Turbomaster.
Earth Wars anon from previous thread. Spaceape uploaded a compiled storyline of Snarl and Hun-gurr's Bogus Journey. This is the line I was talking about when I said they confirmed the leak super hard.
>>6465258
When will Hasbro release a Quintesson legends sized figure?
>>6465271
It would be cool, but I don't think we'll ever get a full figure like Alpha Quintesson ever again. People would complain that it didn't transform, so they need to come up with an altmode first.

So I finally got this out of storage at my parents'.
When I first started collecting transformers as an adult this was one of the very first things I bought. UNFORTUNATELY I was brash, dumb college student who was really into the grungy aesthetic. So he's basically awful. Like there are some parts that done well but overall... bleh. Stripping the sealer and paint from the jingles and solid color parts will be easy but the other parts will be harder. I'm considering redoing him in actual Omega Supreme colors instead? Thoughts? Or you can just laugh at my shitty custom.
I did make his head separate into a little tank though and I still like that
>>6465271
I'd be happy with some statueshit or even a 3p design at this rate.
Knowing hasbro they'd fuck it up, although I thought of ONE way to bring us a quintesson in a meaningful way.
Pic related, in masterpiece, yep mp mother fucking gnaw!
>price to be about mp bumblebee/lower
>pack in with quintesson
>can buy multiple gnaw's to make up quintesson council/multi pack of 2 gnaw's with 1 quintesson between them
>make other quintession related robots pack ins with other quintesson types ie solider guards or the scientist type
They're packing mp's with figures of the people, we almost have all of the human cast, NOW we need quintessons thrown in there
>>6465291
In all honesty I like what you've done as it brings him closer to the wfc standard he's supposed to be, I just hope that black wash you used is acrylic, if its enamel based I fear the strength of the plastic may have been affected.
But he would of crumbled apart by digging him out of storage if that's the case, anyway if you change your mind and are will to sell him for cheap let me know, I'd give him a home
>>6465150
>Yeah, my b! Thinking between $20-$30 to start? Or is that too low for a decent one?
Theres currently a $30 set on Amazon that gets you two Deluxe (around 6inch) figures, one of War For Cybertron Optimus, and one of Orion Pax (aka: Optimus before he became Optimus). Thats probably your best bet as both are good molds.
Theres also the TR Voyager (7 inch or so figure) triple changer Optimus thats an homage to Laser Rod Prime and has the gas tanker mode, but his plane form is pretty shit.
>>6465296
Yeah, just black acrylic. And WfC is definitely the cause behind it. Probably the only way I'd let him go is in a trade for a clean one of him, sorry.
>>6465306
Eh was worth a try, in time a titan class will come and fix everything anyway
You know, when you think about it between hasbro and takara there isn't much middle ground.
>hasbro is cheaper and (at times) easier to find
>because of this qc issues can be more wide spread and little attempt to correct them, if at all
>products are the equivalent of nintendo ie "made for everyone" yet you feel ashamed that you're handling an outright kids toy
>products generally lack paint or use terrible plastic colors, now with (cheap) stickers on the returning serve
>Adult line masterpiece releases by them are just mold hand-me-downs and may be worse than their originators
>you can buy more of these products at the least and color/mold choices of main retail line are in line with movie/idw aesthetic choices
This isn't an outright stab at hasbro mind you, I'll be formulating a hasbro counter point also using a fitting counterpart
Welp, i'm hooked.
Is Nitro Zeus just as fun?
>>6465211
>Omega Supreme
Who was also as tall as the rest of the combiners. They ALL go toe to toe.
is universe Whirl worth $25?
>>6465317
From what I heard his transformation is almost as involved as stuff from the earlier movie lines. He does have a good range of motion on him overall though, he's got a surprisingly clean jet mode up top, and the toy hints that Cogman was supposed to be involved in the final fight by taking over Nitro's body.
>>6465311
>takara meanwhile is far more expensive even for their own, smaller, intended market with less product made because they don't account for western buyers
>qc issues are less common, or least people think they are until those outside of japan point out such an expensive product shouldn't have such flaws
>takara being the chief designers of the products hates the limitations hasbro and thus retailers in general try to impose so with the mp line they're only constraint is what is "accurate" which can range from slave to a badly drawn cartoon to holy shit its just like I remembered from my show but real!
>to differ themselves from hasbro since they use their main retail molds and because less distribution cost they can afford to use more paint on their products, though in some cases it gets to the point where they might as well be statue shit as handling them can actually damage said paint jobs
>Even if takara releases an mp exclusively/does it first it is no mean immune to bad qc, paint flake to just terribly assembly and on mp's that cost so much it should NOT happen at all
>you can only buy so many due to budgetary concerns unless you have great self control or stick to one line
I miss the generations line in terms of paint apps but when will hasbro and takara just sit down and do what we really need, and just make them ALL the same, like the tlk line?
MP's can *sorta* stay the same (and if hasbro imports them over they should just bring them as is, in Australia and asia they even get them in takara boxes and not rely on the hasbro boxed versions) but for the mainline they need to cut out the whole "variance", sure collectors might miss takara being so garish and hasbro's excuse of toy accuracy, but we wouldn't need to stalk japanese websites to pre-order our plastic crack if its the exact same stuff, now would we?
Oh well, back to collecting we go
>>6465326
>but when will hasbro and takara just sit down and do what we really need, and just make them ALL the same, like the tlk line?
Never gonna happen. Corporate overlords demand more money and less production cost.

What's that sword from anon, one of Koto's MSG weapon sets?
Does someone here have one of the KBB OS KO stinger/bumblebee figures? Voyager/old deluxe size? I was going to turn one into a "de primed" optimus, but wanted to know of the size of head to use, and what size of joint the neck has, (ball joint maybe? Or if it is still a swivel, how tough is it to take that system out/head off and slap a new gunpla joint in place via epoxy putty/superglue.
Pic, for ease of finding post later.
>>6465311
I think Hasbro's issue is less the amount of paint and more its distribution and color decisions.
>Blurr has a fucking perfect vehicle mode but robot mode paint and decals are made exclusively to do weird shit like make his shins slightly darker than the base plastic
>CW Wheeljack has a really good vehicle mode but that's where all the paint went in general
>TR Megatron uses most of his paint up on the abdomen and those red squares on his knees
>Brainstorm didn't need much but holy fuck they just dunked the entire front of his vehicle mode into a vat and called it a day
>Overlord goes out of his way to avoid having an extra color sprue for purple plastic despite three of five major applications being in areas where it'd interfere with parts fit
>PMOP's arms are entirely the same grey as the trailer, once again dunked in red.

Maybe if you like Gerwalk-mode helicopters. If you do get him, be careful about bending his knees the wrong way, it'll break the two blue "knee guards".

There had to have been 1000 different plot lines introduced in that movie that literally went nowhere/ were cut at the end. I assume this movie was originally 5-6 hours long.

>>6465201
I like him, and I'm usually pretty picky about bland bots with no paint. I wasn't even going to get him, but he made a great companion piece to hot rod. He's also really fun to play with because of his size and chunkiness. It's like transforming a Tonka truck.
>>6465326
>I miss the generations line in terms of paint apps but when will hasbro and takara just sit down and do what we really need, and just make them ALL the same, like the tlk line?
Hasbro cannot or will not add needed paint details to retail figures. This is not a matter of slathering them in paint, it's simply things like ignoring hubcap and rear light details. Sometimes they do not even paint windows. Takara would not let that fly, and the amount of paint they use, even in minimal cases, is beyond Hasbro's budget/penny pinching.
>>6465438
>mp megatron 2.0 has voice chip

The black connector piece at the knee was apparently broken by alot of people too because the tolerances on the connection there were too tight.
Just bought two sealed Movie All Spark Fracture A.K.A Crasher off Ebay. I live in Canada and I'm importing them from the UK. Came at around 41$CAN each shipped.
I'm looking forward to receive her because I never had the Classic Mirage mold and I love Gobot's Crasher. So it's like finally having an updated version of her.
Why two you ask? To soak up the shipping cost. I'll open the uglier package and keep the other sealed. Unless someone local buy the extra from me for the price I paid.
Too bad there is no Reprolabels set available for her.

I don't buy this whole "in order to have a female body, it MUST be a shellformer" shit. Transformations are getting more and more complicated these days. Not in general, but single instances, which demonstrates the designer's abilities to do so.
>>6465559
If you make a normal TF people complain it looks like a man
>>6465547
I couldn't even tell that the original was female.
Damnit I wish Kapow would hurry up and change the mp Lambros to preorders, not a fan of the this £1 deposit crap.
>>6465559
It depend of the budget of the figure. A standard 20$ deluxe will not be the same thing as a 100$ 3p/MP figure. There is also how to deal with the original designs who often as what is physically impossible to do.
Like TLK Knight Optimus. The bot look like a guy wearing a wetsuit with NO truck kibbles at all. How the fuck can you manage THAT without shellforming?
>>6465559
People here take any goddamn chance to kneejerk and say the slightest bulk in a place that's not the hips is too masculine for a fembot, so shellformer is essentially the only way that meets the impossible standards set here.
>>6465273
>People would complain that it didn't transform
That's debatable. Especially if you sell it as a 'special two-pack' with either a Sharkticon or a Allicon.
>>6465572

The MP designers are demonstrating that the original G1 designs aren't as "physically impossible" as people are thinking.

>>6465592
My way is the only currently feasible way for them to exist.
>>6465582
The only fembot /tfg/ hasn't complained about looking too manly without being a shellformer or a motorcycle are MP Road Rage because the original mold was already using MP engineering to get a slim dude, so all they needed to do was remold the upper legs, and Strika because no one cares about Strika to begin with, and the few that do have accepted that the entire point is that she's fucking beefy.
>>6465593

>>6465619
The tabs for linking TR base modes together are purple as well, so people who want to mess with that are in for quite a fucking ride when it starts to chip.
They could've done something like color the missile rack in his abdomen purple to justify the third sprue since it'd be part of the new Overlord-specific parts.

Also, they had Mech Ideas Ironfist for ¥2000 (it's a used one - there's a new one for ¥3500 but fuck it), so I added that in too since I missed out on it (as well as Sakamoto's Prime book because fuck it) and I've only just finally read Last Stand of the Wreckers (and will begin For All Mankind soon because yes, I'm that far behind).
Yeah, if that MP-10 isn't in-stock when they check, I'm-a chuck something at the Japs.

I was simply enquiring about if you found what you were looking for, no dickedness here.
>>6465683
Ah, fair enough then, I usually swear by the sahra store as it previews the shipping cost but if a store has multiple things I want I hit them up.
Well I hope all goes well with your purchase
>>6465685
I'd do a spoiler for you but I can't do that here so fuck it all.
NONE of them in the pic are traps, infact there are no traps in the whole anime, its just thrown around to create drama
>>6465673
Kek, wise anon of reasoning even wasn't me! But no, I haven't looked yet. Reason I was asking was in case someone had a figure of him so they'd know the exact toyline instead of me shovelling through the internet for a figure that might not exist.
Hey /tfg/ got some pics of my recent toy haul how did I do?
Orion Pax is a pickup truck who becomes a freight truck as Optimus Prime. Hot Rod is a sportscar who becomes a Winnebego as Rodimus Prime. Power of the Primes almost gave us an Ultra Magnus (probably a white Optimus who becomes a car carrier,) and it is giving us an Optimus Primal gorilla who becomes the mecha gorilla Optimal Optimus.
However, the PotP polls also suggested Arcee and Megatron as potential Matrix bearers. If that had happened, what would their toys have been like?
I bet Megatron would have been a silver tank who becomes a big green Armada tank, but I can't picture what could have possiblt attached to Arcee's vehicle mode.
>>6465695
One's a shelf warmer and the other is better than his retool (well, using hasbro standards), so its ok.
I still like mine though
I finally found a TR Cosmos. I didn't really like his darker green or microscopic autobot badge, though, so I swapped his unscratchable head and yellow forearms over to upgrade my old Cosmos. I really prefer the look of the painted head on the old one more, but this is just one instance where I can't ignore it, because it rubs off simply from the friction it takes for you to pull it out with your hands, even if you don't scrape the sides.
Still love this mold. One of my all time favorites.
>>6465698
Man, Primus and Unicron feel so insufficiently small now.
>>6465697
If that were up to me I'd have 2 differing megatrons
>megatron tank/gun to galvatron cannon
>megatron tank/gun to megatron tank
Unless they had other ideas I can't see where else this could go, as for arcee pic related, dunno man lets not go too far
>>6465703
Sure as hell are, I bought primus just for his planet mode, great for a diorama piece, a titan class of a planet I can't picture nor would I want, least for now.
Question though, I have a platinum unicron inbound, where the fuck do I get a stand for him, I can't find shit even using the name of the one emgo reviewed (all I could find and boy oh boy was I late to that party)
>>6465699
What did it take to swap it?
>>6465688
Id say enjoy it. Just enjoy Fast and Furious for being stupid action popcorn flicks to sell cars. I'd also suggest enjoying Marvel movies for being stupid action popcorn flicks to sell toys. And I'd most definitely suggest enjoying Transformer movies for being stupid action popcorn flicks. Macies don't have to be masterpieces for you to enjoy them, it's like how every now and then grabbing a McDonalds or a Take Away can hit the spot.
Atlwast we get some cool concepts and figures out of the moves.
>>6465695
Congrats, you got a Black Shadow with correctly assembled shoulders.
>>6465718
Just a small Phillip's head screwdriver. Just slide him apart at the waist and there are three screws on the underside of his upper-torso that you can remove and it will come apart.
>>6465697
I'm guessing Arcee would get either a mobile armory or a giant tarantula to reference that one blackarachnia repaint.
>>6465697
I thought of a few ways to make them work, but no idea on how they would have actually done it:
-Shockwave: Similar to his CW toy, his trailer is based on Energon Shockblast, forming the gun on it.
-Deathsaurus: Make his Breastforce animals combine into a robot
-Megatron: Huge purple tank, turret is actually a second grey/silver tank. Either Megatron compacts into Galvatrons chest, or he transforms into his Cannon.
-Hound: No fucking idea.
-Arcee: Probably a bigger version of herself like Hot Rod, so she'd have a mobile home or something.
>>6465691
Oh, I usually do too, but Sahara didn't have MP-10! Oh well. The other Mandarake stores have treated me pretty well too though. I recently got a brand new Armada Super Convoy from Complex, I believe it was, and holy crap was that fun. I felt like a stupid child again. Yeah, it's a brick, but I don't care. So are G1 toys.
>>6465693
I legitimately like this idea. No worries about spoilers.
>>6465697
Arcee I feel would probably turn into some kind of spacecraft maybe. Her normal car form almost looks like some kind of sleek 80's spacecraft anyway. Just give her bigass jet intake pauldrons or something.
>>6465722
Oh, I agree, but it's hard at the same time.
I loved TLK (no, it's not a great movie, but I enjoyed it) and AOE, but they're so horribly flawed, and as someone who works for a small film studio who works on budgets, I'm so conscientious about what we spend on what, so seeing the Transformers movies as giant clusterfucks can be irritating...
But I can never stop grinning at those movies. The part where Optimus scans a new alt mode in AOE? Big-ass grin on my face. Grown man, sitting in the theatre by himself, just grinning endlessly because Transformers.
>>6465737
>Shockwave
Do this
>>6465742
All of the stores treated me well in the past, only weird point was I tried to make a purchase using my mobile and somehow the complex store sent me an invoice for credit card rather than paypal, and despite having my card handy the page kept resetting, an email and 10mins later a paypal invoice sent along with my mp36
>I legitimately like this idea. No worries about spoilers
The show is ok but its just mindless rot, good for just relaxing but far from cerebral
>>6465737
>Deathsaurus
They've been teasing him for years. So when is his toy coming, anons? 2018? 2019? Remember, Generations is planned for up to 2021.
>>6465737
Hound would be a G1 hound that turned into a G1ified Movie Hound.
>>6465737
>Arcee: Futuristic sports car that docks/combines with big pink space van
>seats six titan masters so she can drop them off at school
>>6465744
The only thing I could think of for her is maybe have her work like Star Saber, or a motorcyble that connects to the back of a giant car.
>>6465749
Oh yeah, I've had that same problem with credit cards. It's a nightmare. I've got it to work a couple of times tops. I hate how it always defaults to credit card because sometimes I forget to change it and then I have to email them.
Their customer service is pretty good too, it seems.
>>6465753
I would actually buy the fuck out of this.
>>6465750
2016 ;)
>>6465699
I think the Adventure one might be the best of the lot, unless you prefer the lighter green as you do, anon.
But it depends. They're all different, which is kind of nice.
>>6465763
We don't talk about that imposter, anon.
>>6465765
I like the extra paint detail the Adventure one has around the ring of the saucer and upper torso, but I prefer the autobot badge on the shoulder, and I absolutely hate the cartoon-accurate eyes. I prefer the IDW-style visor.
I have thought about getting the adventure one and kind of frankenstiening one together out of all my favorite parts, but the adventure one is hard to find for under 30 bucks now.
>>6465215
here you go anon
>>6465670
I got my MP Ultra Magnus for 10,000yen from Mandrake.
It was used but 100% complete. Shipping was quite expensive but 180$CAN shipped ain't that bad. Especially because it came in literally 3 days and NO customs!
I'm really happy with this huge bot.
>>6465325
but don't forget that problem where everyone had trouble forming the backpack due to the wings or thrusters

G1 Hound isn't that chunky, I mean, I can imagine turning into a bulky version that shares attributes with movie hound, but not what he'd use as a trailer.
>>6465802
My fucking hero.
>>6465768
I agree on all points. I don't like the badge being center of what is presumably the main windshield of the craft. It looks odd. Also, the visor looks neater.
My problem is that the hinge of the left arm of mine is floppy so I can't get his arm to stay up. I have to prop his hand on his hip or something to get it to stay anywhere.
>>6465768
>I absolutely hate the cartoon-accurate eyes. I prefer the IDW-style visor.
I wouldn't mind it with remolds, but any time takara tries to turn a visor into eyes just with paint it looks godawful.
They did with with TR Eject too.
>>6465763
>>6465766
Liokaiser is really neat. I like him. I have to rotate his legs so he's more show-accurate though.
>>6465661
Maybe. Or perhaps your standards for women are too low.
Legends Windblade or drop $100+ for the Combiner Hunter box set?
>>6465826
There's a reissie coming up, wait for that.
>>6465661

>>6465826
The only reason to but this is if you don't already have Arcee nor Chromia and you don't mind Windblade being gray.
>>6465833
I know that, question still stands.
>>6465661
I definitely knew this was a woman because she had a typical 80s woman face. Wasn't there another one?
>>6465837

>>6465826
TR Windblade. No, really. It's the only decent Windblade that isn't the IF figure you posted.
>>6465811
Do you not know about the wonders of futureshine? Buy a bottle of floor polish that looks like pic-related and use a dropper to put a tiny bit in the joint. Work it around, let it dry, and voila. I had to do this fix to mine 3 years ago and it's still right as rain.
>>6465849
I'll keep an eye open for her, I was planning on buying her and Twintwist anyway.
>>6465818
I just prefer the visor anyway. It makes sense for a robot that is capable of lightspeed space travel.
>>6465745
I'm yet to see TLK but so far Dark of the Moon was the best by a long way. Age of Extinction angered me to no end - don't get me wrong, it has some great things about it, but what was bad about it was fucking BAD, ya get me?
Pros
>Stanley Tucci
>SS Camero
>Dinobot designs
>Optimus's rusted G1 truck
>Lockdowns grenades
>Lockdowns cannon face
>Lockdowns highway entrance (Basically Lockdown was pretty fucking cool)
Cons
>Shitty new designs that don't resemble their vehicle modes AT ALL
>Galvatron and other evil manufactured robots shapeshift via Transformium bullshit
>Optimus's ugly new truck
>fucking Transformium
>Dinobots appear out of nowhere and do fuck all
>that Irish/Australian guy stopped the film half way through to pull out his 'not a pedo' card from his wallet and tell the audience why he's not a paedophile
>any Autobot not in this movie was to be presumed killed offscreen
Atleast we got a few cool figures
>>6465836

>>6465869
The problem is that it's the hinge, not the joint. Would it still work though?
>>6465931
>>6465931
It depends, if you can wedge something there (a toothpick, or exacto) then drip it in slowly and make sure it stays around that area, it could work.
The other method is to use some string and use it around the wedge (if possible). Had to do that on Sky Shadow since the future method didn't work on his shoulder.
IM really fucking sick of these "Premier Edition" last knight toys in Canada. They are marked up like $10-$20 more than they should be for "reasons".

>>6465938
because they know bayformerfags are delusional enough to buy them anyway.
>>6465938

I also know how the movie lines always go.
>shit versions come out first
>later on better painted/retooled versions come out thata re better in every way
Anybody who buys the first waves of movie toys is a fool. I basically just want Barricade and Hound, and theres sure to be better offical versions out at some point, and even those cool KO versions Ive seen floating around that come out soon.
>>6465931
Yes. I'm telling you mine had the same exact problem. Many of the early Cosmos figures did. The way the arm joint is set within the torso, it still creates friction against the plastic surrounding the hinge. It'll work.
>>6465368
Picked one up while I was in Louisiana the other day and saw 2 Primes in AL yesterday. I didn't think they'd show up this soon.
>>6465722

>>6465957
>I go for robot action and instead I get cringe bay jokes and shitty editing.
After three shitty films I gave up even seeing them, figured I was already too generous with my money and don't want any more films from them.

>>6465971
How. Were you poorfag at the time? I have a fund set up for random deals so I'm never too poorfag
>>6465969
This. You can say what you want about the Bayshit films, but they're pretty unique and have gorgeous special effects work and cinematography.
And it's hard to take the criticisms of them seriously because 75% of it is "NOT MUH GEEWUN!"
>>6465976
An Amazon seller had Trypticon at 100 on July 31 for 100, and since Amazon was starting to sell it at that point it was also at that price but they sold out in 20 minutes. It was a mistake since it doesn't show up in CamelCamelCamel.
>>6465977
>but they're pretty unique and have gorgeous special effects work and cinematography.
Except when compared to each other. Every scene in one TF movie can be seen in every other TF movie. Bay can only do one type of scene and he does it over and over again. It's flash and spectacular, yes, but by no means are they unique when you can see them in every other Bayformer film.
>>6465977
The "not muh geewun" critics have died out in 2007.
The real criticism is that the movies are pretty much garbage overall. My personal gripe is that the story STILL focus on the damn human rather than the bots.
Give me a fully animated Bay movie where the action is in space or Cybertron, NO HUMANS. With actual character development on the bots. THAT would be something.
>>6465983
>Except when compared to each other. Every scene in one TF movie can be seen in every other TF movie
This can be said about literally every film franchise.
>>6465985
I agree, but I gave up long ago on getting any kind of meaninful, bot-focused development out of these movies. They're garbage if you're hoping for that, but as mindless trash, action movies, they are second to none.
>>6465994
>a figure being able to balance on one leg means it's good
When will this meme die?
>>6465969
No. The jokes in the MCU movies are actually good. And the action is more balanced throughout the movie. In TF movies it's like I get 2 minutes of action for every 20 minutes of shitty Bay jokes and human characters.
Woah it's Grimlock! Lol nah let's have him roll on a car and then fuck off for the rest of the movie
Hey look at these random Decepticons we spent 5 minutes doing a cringe Suicide Squad style intro for! Look at them get killed in 5 seconds effortlessly by all the Autobots!
Bumblebee vs Barricade? Bumblebee shoots him for 2 seconds and then Barricade fucks off for the rest of the movie
Oh cool, Nemesis Prime vs Bumblebee? Only lasts 2 minutes and Optimus turns back in the most half assed way ever
Final battle on Cybertron? Nope let's see IZZY AND SQUEEKS HIJINKS BECAUSE THEY DID NOTHING FOR THE REST OF THE MOVIE LOL
Optimus vs Megatron? Lol nah let's just have Megatron lose in 2 seconds and get kicked out of the planet
You thought the last knight was going to be a Transformer? Nah it's just Marky Mark, and all that build up was just so he gets a sword in exactly 1 scene to save Optimus only to not use the sword ever for the rest of the movie
>>6465977
but they're pretty unique
Unique in how bad they are? You've got that right.
>And it's hard to take the criticisms of them seriously because 75% of it is "NOT MUH GEEWUN!"
No, it's more like 90% of the criticisms are "this is a shitty movie with crappy action, bad editing, shitty pointless characters, and incoherent plot." And they're absolutely right. Keep strawmanning all the arguments into just geewun complaints though if it helps you sleep at night.
>>6466002

Thanks for the tips. I think I'll go ahead and pick up the Titans Return version. He looks cool and I like the shoulders quite a bit.
Also saw the Soundwave Titans Return figure? Pretty decent?
>>6466024
Yes. Because they're quips and not 10 minute long scenes about Stanley Tucci being drunk while talking to a robot hundreds of years before the fucking plot of the movie.
>>6466033
The mold itself is good, but Blaster is a better use of it. Soundwave's helmet is a bit too high sitting on the titanmaster so he looks, for lack of a better word, "surprised". Also the gold paint on the chest clear plastic is exceptionally shitty and flakes off very easily.
tl;dr "Get Blaster if you want the mold"
>>6466033
Oh, also, depending on your budget, theres a voyager sized KO of the MP-10 Optimus by Kubianbao. ebay KBBMP-10V. It's pretty good.
>>6466029
You should've let it at the chrome and then start planning for applying small details so it doesn't just look like Zack Snyder's Silver Surfer.
This is awful.
This month's Transformers haul. Picked up TR Misfire, Windblade, and TLK Infernocus. Misfire is a definite step down from Triggerhappy, and Windblade's alright. I never had the original Abominus version of the mold, so I'm glad to finally have one

The OS KO finally got here. And I managed to get the original red version. Today is such a good day.
With shipping it came to only $34. That's less than how much I would've paid if I got the voyager and the legion toys to do the combo cannon thing (which I was tempted to do).
It's not perfect, but the price-to-value ratio is so much better than the voyager (which I only saw ONCE at Walmart any way) that it'd be silly for me to complain.
>>6466157
How'd you get it for $34? Used?
>>6466166
I ended up ordering from taobao. Initially was going to get it from TFDirect, but I heard they only had the version with the red-gradient sword.
I was pretty much determined to just get the regular Hasbro version. but I heard they were releasing a third batch with the sword fully painted in gray. I still wanted the red one but I figured I still preferred full gray over that gradient thing they were doing. When I tried to find it on taobao, I managed to find a store that wasn't selling the red version for a hefty mark-up.
The price on TFDirect is fair though. This thing's pretty massive and I'm sure shipping it domestically in the US would cost more than the $10 difference.
>>6466157
It's a shame that version instantly became impossible to find. Accuracyfags ruin everything.
Finding a Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper is fucking crazy. Why did they think it was a good idea to sell these dudes separately? Gigant Bomb starts at 60, and Smokesniper barely shows up anywhere.
How many TMs can Sixshot accommodate in any of his alt modes? I kinda want a battle wagon for my cons.
So, Voyager TLK Megatron's sword appears to be trans red plastic painted over.
Who is a bad enough dude to strip the paint off the sword?
>>6466205
In his car mode, he can have 3 riding him, not counting the one inside the helmet. You can have 3 on the tank mode if you lift the foot pieces but they don't have dedicated positions.
And do NOT roll him in his tank mode since his chest touches the ground no matter what I've done. This is even worse with Quickswitch since his chest is painted grey.
>>6466211

>>6466217
Yes.
>>6465906
Just have him turn into a 4 door jeep now.
>>6466226
Cool. Makes sense. They made the cockpit transparent so they had to use it somewhere else too. I guess the KO companies knew this and decided to skip out the paint on the sword initially.
>>6466232
Anyone want to post toys that could have gotten V2's in TR? You know, not the obvious choices like the Horrorcons, HM Jr's, or Armada Sideways.
>>6466176
I got the red chest version too. Is it rare or something? Is it a runnimg change?
>>6466222
Don't forget Scorn and Snarl.
The Dinobots were the best part about the line but they all differed greatly on quality and design. Slash and Slug were just weird, Grimlock and Slog were mediocre, and the Leader Grimlock was complete garbage.
>>6466222
Drift and Grimlock, too
>>6466235
First batch: red chest/red sword
Second batch: silver chest, red/gray gradient sword
Third batch: gray chest/gray sword
Most western resellers seem to only have the 2nd batch in stock atm.
>>6466241
Rumour is there is going to be another version with a head like the leader.
Unrelatedly, any chance Takera would do a battle mask version of Voyager Megatron?
>>6466243
There is no Takara version of TLK toys. It's just the same box with an extra sticker on it.
Weijiang's making a clean version of Squeeks btw. I'm still gonna wait for reviews before deciding if I want it or not. It's oversized so I'm not really sure what figures would scale with the bike mode, which is gonna be a big part of my decision. The original deluxe can be ridden by standard sized figures I believe.
>>6466249
>There is no Takara version of TLK toys. It's just the same box with an extra sticker on it.
Shame. I wanted the new BUmblebee deluxe but the colors on him are nasty.
>>6466253
Snarl worked; just like HFTD Highbrow, the wrists are fine but they look broken because of the angle at which the kibble settles on the forearms.
Still, AOE was such a terrible toyline for a just decent figure covered in transparent plastic and full of holes to be one of the best.
>>6466261
I think that's also the mold used in the Bee evolution 3-pack. MAYBE it's better painted there.
>>6465593
Third party is cooking something up.
>>6465593
>>6466346
FOLDED 1000 TIMES JUST LIKE MY JAPANESE GREATSWORD
>>6466350
>>6465593
It transforms. Don't ask me how.
Last figure you overpaid /tfg/?, I paid 45 shipped for the flying cones, they were rumored to have a 25 msrp but a walgreens computer listed them at 19, regret it a bit but oh well.
>>6466408
I paid 70 for the Takara Beast Hunter Shockwave with all of accessory and his box
>>6466408
$50 for a used Tidal Wave that was missing his missiles. After that I've gone full cheapskate and only buy things on sale.
>>6466408
It's always the Legends figures that get me. Not by much, considering they're cheap normally. But they're supposed to be like $10 a pop, and I usually end up paying $12-15 at the most.
>>6466408
Other than paying full price for TLK toys? Buying the Year of the Goat Soundwave at full price
>>6466445
This. They end up being a pain in the ass to find. I figure if I overpay by a few bucks to order them online, it's worth the money I saved in gas, driving around, trying to find them in retail.
>>6466445
I paid $200 for this guy because he was a Takara Mall exclusive, but even though he's just a recolor of an outdated mold, I don't regret it. It was my first delve into the MP seeker mold, and I think he looks great. One of the few definitive cases of unpainted plastic looking amazing.
>>6466408
These TMs, but only by 2~3 dollars each. I was convinced that Singapore may not be getting them in so I got them from Taobao instead. But even on there they are in short supply and the prices were jacked up smoothing slightly.
>>6466408
Prime First Edition Bulkhead. Paid over $60 for a retail voyager figure. Don't regret it though.
I just realized since we have "Prime Masters" replacing "Titan Masters". Does that mean we can get POTP Eject and Frenzy?
>>6466408
Transformers wise MP 10.
Anything else wise I paid YJA and middleman mark up for a 1/3 doll because I did not win the original lotto to buy her. One month later I found out Volks was doing preorders for her during Anime Expo. At least I got her sooner...
>>6466462
Yeah, thats the funny part. I'm sure I've gotten dinged more on Legends figures since I've began collecting than anything else. Deluxes can usually be found for MSRP online easily enough, Voyagers sometimes end up on sale, Leaders usually shelfwarm and go on sale, but Legends?
Nope! Little fucks always are a bastard to find, never seem to go on sale, and I usually see online for 10%-50% increases over their MSRP
>>6466478
Probably in the 2019 waves, as case filler to the new Duocons.
>>6466467
Hey Anon, how do you like Octone/Octane? I'm tempted to pick it up myself.
>>6466226
How can I accomplish this?
>>6466493
But we're getting Battletrap(s) next year.
>>6466408
TLK Barry. I'm a retard and missed the sales season on my country, paid about 23 dollars.
No idea for how much the 07 movie figures go but tomorrow I'm possibly getting 07 Wreckage for 20 dollars.
>>6466465
>outdated mold
I don't follow MP stuff, why is it outdated? It looks fine to me.
>>6466519
That's the problem. It LOOKS awesome, but in hand it's a bit of a mess. Most of the remolds have an issue holding together in bot mode in the torso area. Still sexy as fuck in alt. mode, though. And as long as you can find a good pose, he looks good as a bot, too. He's not the worst, but compared to most post-MP-10 bots, it's lacking.
>>6466519
He's pretty much the worst "current" MP mold by a longshot. It's basically just a modified version of the previous MP Seeker, which was a shitshow.
>>6466498
I do like him, I think he's the one of the better triple changers from TR with three convincing modes.
He does suffer from the usual TR issue of stickers and usual repaint issue of having entire parts coated in a color. He could use some hip ratchets as well, even the shitty Sentinel Prime ones.
I found at Target that those Fast and Furious toy are going on deep clearance. The figures scale better to MP cars then the putty faced ones from Takara.
>>6466596
>>6465699
...damn you, i must now have cosmos to swap heads with, guess i can make the alt mode chrome and shiny.
>>6466408
CW Viper. I want to say $24-26 or so. It's not the best or most interesting figure, but I have a soft spot for crossovers.
>>6466591
Thanks for the heads up Anon. I'll keep that in mind. Debating between that and Astrotrain.
>>6466598
Not worth $20, but 5 bucks. I just give the cars to my little brother.
>>6466605
Is there enough space in the cars for TMs?
>>6466612
Yes, fits well inside
>>6466596
Not bad at all... Is there a female figure by any chance?
>>6466617
>>6466618
I don't know, just happen to come across it in the clearance aisle. I did other figures with cars in the line. Tiny Vin Diesel and Tiny Luda, Maybe they have a tiny Gal Gadot since this was part of FF6
>Transformers Animated was made by Sunbow fanboys who used the G1 cartoon as the basis for what they were doing
>Is the most beloved and celebrated media entry of the franchise despite barely lasting over a year and being filler between movies
Really makes you think.
>>6466591
Yeah, hips aren't in a good place. I have 4 TR Primes (two G2, two regular one's). 3 are fine, 1 isn't, but I don't think it's possible to fix that due to the transformation.
>>6466603
>It's not the best or most interesting figure
Hey, the Powerglide mold was great. Maybe not $25 great, but shit, he is a very good little figure.
>>6466644
Oh no, I dig the figure and mold. I meant that the figure was good but not great. Good all around sort of thing, but nothing overly remarkable. For a Legend, that's usually what I want.
>>6466651
Only thing I wish he had was arm swivels. Can't believe they didn't give him some.
When's MP Beast Wars Dinobot coming out?
>>6465599
MP road Rage is shit. It should have never happened.
Were any of the Armada toys any good? Like I can't remember anything from that era not being shit.
>>6465286
Is it sad that Fruiticus is actually on my wish list?
i think i fucked up
Im new to transformers and i wanted to have Scourge
but...looks like there is Takara Scourge that is way better color-wise than regular scourge.
But my regular scourge already on the way to me.
Oh well... should have search further before making an order.
Takara's scourge has a fucking glorious color-choice while regular one is a blue plastic brick for me now...
>>6468767
i need this. but damn on ebay it costs like 3 regular titans return scourges
