Holy fuck, I had no ideia there were even that many RiD figures for a single character in the first place, let alone that many Strongarms. Are any of those actually good or else?

Also, you're missing the McDonalds one.

Technically it is inflated because includes both the Hasbro and Takara releases of the same mold and the same-character recolors.

Having grown up with the 90's toys that just kind of flipped over and then were a robot, he felt nostalgically simple to me. I liked that.
>>
>>6456775
Ever actually had one in hands? He's a pretty solid figure for a pre-BW Transformer, GPS aside. The guy even looks better than some early Armada and Energon bricks.

imho the Machine Wars repaint should have just gone straight G1 Prime instead of being mostly white and woodland green. This figure was bursting with potential for a good Optimus repaint, but Hasbro done fucked it up.

>>6456784
Eh, I have Offroad and I think he's great.
>>
>>6456794
Speaking as a massive G1 Prime fanboy who thinks he's The erudite figure that defines classics Transformers as a whole, I've always felt like the proportions of Thunderclash / MW Prime were somewhat better in comparison. He does look more modern, if something.
>>
>>6456799
Even as a wee retarded child I found it weird that he was even more brickish than the G2 Prime I had.
>>
>>6456784
I honestly prefer Offroad to Wildrider just so I'm not repeating molds on one combiner. He's definitely the best use of the truck mold and worth picking up imo.
>>
>>6456794
I don't get the hate. The only thing bad about that mold is the giant easter island head and it's not that bad a flaw.
>>
>>6456806
I'll at least give him this, I do like the trailer base gimmick. I just think his cab/robot is way to brickish for me. Like I seem to recall that his shoulders were locked in place despite looking like they can rotate.

You seriously felt like he's less brick-ish than Thunder Clash? I mean, his entire proportions are literal cubes and rectangles, anon. Not that he isn't a god-tier classic figure, he actually did manage to have an absurd amount of articulation for a Diaclone-based mold, but I wouldn't say he beats Thunder on aesthetics alone.

I mean yeah Old Optimus is a box, but he could move quite a bit for being a box. Thunder felt entirely stationary, as a little kid Optimus being a boxy shape didn't bother me because he was a robot, but he was a robot with totally rad blaster he could actually aim around with his posable arms.

MP Ironhide is really fucking good aside from the hipskirts. He's at a nice price and is absolutely loaded with accesories (and storage for them as well). I honestly think it's one of the best releases once you get past the hip skirts (you'll find people really don't like those hip skirts)

If you don't like the hip skirts, you can buy the shadow fisher upgrade kit for like 20-ish dollars to solve the only flaw the toy has (hip skirts).

Oh nothing, I find the picture humorous.

The actual product is a qc ridden mess despite limited release however

>many units have mis-assembled arm tabs preventing proper secure jet transformations
>floppy joints are common
>slight missassembly in wing panels, while not detrimental to transformation they are a minor cosmetic issue that also causes a *crack* noise when folding wings and the only way to self correct is to break the wings and reattach

And each one can vary with their qc
>mine is an obviously factor fixed copy, to the point where they forgot to reattach an arm panel which was originally used to secure starscream's cape, now its just a big ass hole
>mine's nose is chipped, looks like they painted it over

I love ramjet but he was the reason why I got off my takara high horse and realized you're fucked either way

With their loose joints I think they're about the same, but all can stand once you get the heel spurs out.

I actually find the new wings to be heavier than the original mp11 wings so if you try to go too far if its not their weight its the joints giving in, I found thrust to be the most troublesome.

Regardless whatever seeker they are, unless you got the flight stand they MUST be flat footed

Excuse kitchen only place where I could shoot all 3 at once

Is there any RID toy that's worth buying?
There's always something that turns me off.
Shitty gimmicks ruining the toy, bad articulations, or terrible sculpting choices like with those hands you have there.
Maybe it's a toyline less aimed towards collectors and more towards the kids, but even kids like some quality in their toys.

On the other hand I like a lot of their character designs, save for the flat faces. But it's not enough to redeem above problems.
>>
>>6457556
Most people seem to agree that Bisk/Thermidor, Bludgeon and Twinferno are pretty fun.
>>
>>6457539
Almost got him in the form of tr voyager optimus (as in laser optimus), deliberately colored to be like star convoy, even had an alt head directly homaging planned, alas tossed aside

>>6457556
Warrior soundwave makes for a good wfc reference, if you hate the head gimmick of tr rid windblade works great, rid seeker mold can work if you want a hybrid chug seeker with cape look, and blundgeon works well as his predecessor toy megatronus.

RID won't be quite like other lines but they do the job well, I honestly find the quality the same as TR's stuff, hell rid sideswipe was more complex than all of the tr deluxes, bit of a surprise
>>
>>6457546
It would have made sense. Why make an alternate face if the voyager release, and box set version use the G2 Laser Rod head? The alternate head would give people a reason to get the voyager, and the silver on the face helps break up the sea of blue he has going on up there.

Aside from
>Warrior Steeljaw (awkward design choices)
>Warrior Grimlock (exploding elbows)
>Warrior Sideswipe (ineffective shoulder locks)
Most of the warrior class toys are samey good-bad. Standouts are Bisk, Bludgeon and Stormshot.

Legion class toys are mostly good for their size. Cyclonus and Windblade aren't that good though.

Crazybolt is the one standout of all the gimmick-line toys. It's one of the most articulated beastformers at the moment.

One whole line I would recommend is the Minicon 2-packs, the figures they come with are similar to those G2 ball-jointy toys >>6456948

It takes someone with an interest to actually do something and tf's are no different, if say a parent can't work out a one step its mostly likely they bought it to shut their kid up who still hasn't shut up because (hard to believe) they don't know if its "doing the thing".

When I was a kid my father couldn't work them out until I took the time and interest to work them out, only because my mother had a passing interest and could get them half transformed, years later parents stopped buying tf's for my younger brother when they realized they sat around, did nothing, and I ended up dragging them into my room because I never needed manuals.

So yeah, even one steps, ESPECIALLY one steps fall into this, hell maybe they got it right but thought it wasn't transformed correctly

Yeah, I find the 2017 Botcon exclusives dubious. They could've made some of those earlier if they weren't crapping out Shattered Glass repaints every year. Some of their other releases were poorly thought out. Why did Airazor need two different pre-beast wars figures?

In his defense, it still only looks marginally better. The chrome grill and alternate face still don't fix the massive expanses with zero detail, and the fact that 90% of the figure is the same shade of red. They should have not gone full retard and incorporated some of the details from the toy like almost ever MP before.

TR Megatron feels decent if you don't mind the Headmastering, but the Classics/Henkei one is pretty solid on that note too.

>And if you find warriors literally buried in them consider shopping somewhere else where retards aren't stacking shelves/kids aren't testing your patience.
It's literally every toy section within an hour's drive. I'm talking 4 TRUs and 20 department stores. Then you go online, where most shops don't carry them and eBay/Amazon sellers want $40 each. It's needlessly difficult.

Haven't fallen off, but have mildly threatened to.
He's got a good weight to him I didn't expect after handling Sentinel Prime and Astrotrain. and none of the modes feel like they sacrifice too much for eachother.

Also, I always thought he was silver. Like pretty much every depiction in comic, cartoon or toy form makes him look shiny silver, or at least metallic. I'm pretty sure Megatron isn't supposed to be the same color as leftover cereal milk, though.

More than likely. The Age of Extinction ones sold okay, but everything since, no. Hasbro really needs to stop this shit.
