Good dragon toys that are of a decent size? Doesn't have to be huge but nothing as small as a standard 1/12 action figure.

A bit on the small side, so more like a small wyvern for 1/12th but Happinet Rathalos is my shoe in generic dragon

Most of the Mega Bloks Dragons figures, especially the later ones, wound up being more action figure than buildable, and are pretty posable.
>>
>>6418973
The small ones? Or are there bigger ones I don't know of?

There were multiple size classes- you're thinking of the Plasma Dragons, which were as big as 2 minifigures roughly, and then the larger eggs, which held proper figures. The 2 I liked best were from Metal Ages- Thoron, the Platinum Dragon (Pictured) and Stendhal, the Titanium Dragon (Posting pics after this.) They weren't figuarts posable, but they're super durable and look great. However, it looks like there aren't any of either on ebay right now.

This is Stendhal, who I actually like better- he's a great red color and looks super evil. In addition, he tends to both be on ebay more often and go for more reasonable prices.

IN ADDITION, there were several lines of "mid-size" dragon figures released in eggs for the rest of the line, starting with Dragons Fire and Ice. They were roughly in scale with Thoron and Stendhal, but weren't as large.
>>
>>6418996
>>6419003
Can you pose them next to a generic 6 in figure? These looks great.
>>
>>6419035
I don't actually own them anymore, but as I recall they're about 7-8 inches, made taller by the wings. Each of those minifigures is an inch and change tall, so use that as a reference, I suppose.

A bit too small, but otherwise it counts just fine.

Yeah maybe some transformers may work. There's quite a few to choose from between the TFP:Beast Hunters, the TLK movie and the odd few from older lines.

Egg ones were smaller but also good size.

Revoltech Yamaguchi Monster Hunter line has some nice poseable dragons.

Schleich's Eldrador line has a lot of non-poseable dragon figures but they're a bit small.

>>
idk about good dragon toys but i know of some bad dragon toys of a decent size if you catch my drift
>>
>>6420431
>>6420435

Most of their size comes from their wings, the FFVIII Bahamut (also available in Tiamat colors) has an especially small body (like 4-5" tall from head to toes) it's the extra appendages that give it size. The X Bahamut (available in standard colors) is taller and bulkier, not a hulking beast compared to your average 6" tall figure height wise, but his wing span gives him a great intimidation factor. He also weighs a god damn ton so you will need a stand to keep him up.

Maybe I just suck at internet searches, but I haven't found a good pictorial list of Mega Bloks dragons around. Last I checked, their website wasn't too good about showing past toys either. Anybody know of one? All my MB dragons came from thrift stores.
>>
>>6420570
Agree with what you said, I have both and both come with stands, however Heretic Bahamut can support it's weight.

Wait. If you mean scale 1:12, wouldn't that amount to at least three feet for a dragon?

i dont know why people use that measurement. we should just say inches/cm

I love my tigrex. Hell the last time someone had a thread asking for dragon figures the anon went and ordered every variety of tigrex iirc.

They are on the small side but they are very detailed.

I don't have any suggestions for you op but I have pyre sitting on my shelf right now and he's rad as fuck. You hardly ever see that line posted anywhere.
>>
>>6428310
Strange, too, since big articulated dragons with decent sculpts are apparently pretty rare.

Shame his wings are super fragile where they connect. Does your Pyre have issues with the jaw popping off easily? That super soft plastic tends to be problematic.
>>
All these Mega Bloks Dragons... a lot of great memories came back to me thanks to this thread.

I used to get these from Walgreens when I was a kid, I had a huge thing for dragons back then that I'd eventually grow out of. I remember them having an hourglass type thing too

Really just the Horrid and Nightmare, and both have some serious issues. All the other McFarlane Dragons are one step away from statues (some actually are statues) and they're all really small.

It'll be infinitely articulated, since all the parts will constantly be falling off, if not snapping outright. God I fucking HATE stikfas.
>>
>>6459624
Yeah, he's nice as a display piece only because a lot of his bits are pretty loose and don't stay tightly connected enough to be fun to mess with. He has nearly no play value for me.

good looking,but poor posing ability
because the movable range of the body are very limited

maybe SHF Shenron would be better
>>

I saw that too anon, very tempting

>I don't own this figure but grorious nippon kaiodo is infallible! You are just baka gaijin!
You don't understand, under those body segments is like 3 connected chains of ratchet joints; the shells rest loosely on top. It's meant to be disassembled to be posed, but there's not enough friction to keep it in one piece if you move it at all. It looks cool, and I'm satisfied enough with it, but it's wobbly as hell.

Around when the second movie came out, Walmart had an enormous Toothless statue. It's very on-model unlike the smaller action figures.

Unfortunately, he's gone up a lot secondhand due to the fanbase's autism. People are wanting a staggering 250 for it, which this is really is not worth in any way, considering it retailed for like 25 bucks.
