I live in new England and the only reason I was even considering it was because I'm a magicfag but there is pretty much no reason to go. It won't be like a normal con where you can buy shit as far as I can tell and just going to see stuff isn't enough for me

Botcon 2012 was like that and it wasn't too bad. Granted, that was before the casual bronies moved on and the deviantart furries took over.

Transformers fans are just kinda...there, IRL. Mostly guys in their 30's, and the super-autists won't make a scene without an internet soapbox. The most you have to worry about on that front is the one or two guys who don't wear deodorant BOing areas for 15 minutes.

I'll be going but I'm more curious than anything else. I went to Botcon 2010, so I'm curious to see what a Transformers related con looks like without Funpub. We'll see, I think it will be a good time.
