Is this figure worth getting if I'm a big Guyver fan and I missed out on Guyver I? I really like Guyver II-F's design but I don't know if the figure is very good or not.
I'm more on the fence for Guyver 3. Cooler design, but a senseless fucking price-hike over the others.
>>6371091
They're out of scale with each other, or at least 2 is. So maybe not the best if you want to get all 3, but the first Guyver Figma is decent for $40. Sculpt is a little mushy and they changed the profile of the face from the original design but it wasn't very noteworthy and only real Guyver nerds pointed it out in the first place.
If you're getting it for a good price (which I still think IIF is pretty cheap) then it's well worth buying. The only issue worth mentioning is the shoulders like to pop out if you raise them too high. Otherwise it's superior to Guyver I in terms of paint. Much cleaner and consistent paint job with line detail rather than a messy as fuck wash that looked terrible on some Guyver I and ok on others. The chest cannon (forget the name off hand) is also handled better by being two separate interchangeable pieces that look more seamless and also connect with a stronger connection than the first one which liked to pop out. The hip armor stuff actually being movable rather than soft plastic means you need to worry less about stressing out the area in wide stances.
I think you'll be happy. It's an upgrade over Guyver I and just a good figure in general.

It can be annoying but it's not the worst thing in the world. It's not just falling out at the slightest touch but one shoulder in particular has a habit of popping out despite the joint itself not being loose or anything, holds a pose just fine. Other parts can pop off as well like the arm blades or her horn thing but honestly if you've ever dealt with any import with lots of attached parts you know what to expect and you CAN tighten most those connections if you want.
It's by no means what I would consider defective or such a problem that it's impossible to enjoy.

Just figured out why I dont like G3's Figma. The Figma's head is too broad and round, and he's too buff. In the anime he's really sleak.
>>6371174
Sounds fine mostly. Any way to fix/improve the shoulder?
>>6371180
If it really bothers you some floor polish to thicken the ball might help but it's not a big enough issue for me to bother with. That's what the shoulder is though, a ball joint connection.

Thanks.
>not picking up the dual guyver gigantic set while it was on sale for like six months

You dun goofed.
>>6372601
Those things are kinda ugly 2bh
>>6372601
Sure wish I knew these were a thing before they ran out of stock.
>>6371175
He was fucking huge in the manga.
Know who I want to see them do eventually?
Pic related.
>>6382886
I would rather have my nigga Aptom.
She is cool too though.
>>6382900
He's at least got multiple Max Factory figs- apart from a tiny trading figure, Griselda's got nothin'. Well, there is a daki of her, but that's not official in any way now is it?
>>6382913
Good point actually.
Gris isn't my favorite character by a wide margin (I would rather have male Guyver II, or Bio-Freezer) but she would be a nice addition to the main cast and the older figures don't scale too terribly for the most part..
Get this instead
>>6371091
As long as it can do this.
>>6383161
They should also have a version with lasers coming out of her pussy.
Does G2 die like a jobber in the manga like she/he does in the animation/movie?
>>6383453
The male Guyver 2 does, yes. Even quicker and worse I believe in the manga. the OAV version got it a bit better. That's why the 2005 TV series expanded his life a little more, as it was an early rookie mistake the creator did.
The Purple Guyver 2 Female does as well in the OAV movie. Though is a bit better off than the original manga Guyver 2.
The more pink Female Guyver 2 is still alive in the manga, though her unstable unit seems to be killing her slowly.
>>6380051
To be fair, in the newer books he is thinner overall.
>>6371140
They aren't that much out of scale actually. Not perfect of course, but not completely inaccurate. Guyver 2F is taller than G1 and shorter than G3. The original G2 was the tallest of all the Guyvers.
Guyver 1 - 174cm
Guyver 2F Manga - 181cm
Guyver 2F OAV - 186cm
Guyver 3 - 191cm
Guyver 2M - 210cm
The biggest difference is that the 2 female figmas are based on the shorter manga version, who is still 7cm taller than G1, and when looking at my Figmas side by side, it seems fairly accurate.

Gonna save money to buy this just for the laser cannon boobs.
Also the review, to be honest it's not that really impressive:

She can, but it's not a hinge like Guyver 1's Figma. Instead they're replacement pieces.

Who even made these and what scale are they?
>>6384794
Sanken Studio, 1/6 scale, 18" tall.
>>6384812
Can't find a single video review, would be pretty leery of dropping that kind of cash on such an unknown company/product. All I've found is abunch of people bitching Gigantic dark only came with one set of hands.
https://myfigurecollection.net/item/500348
Still pretty cool in a completely overdesigned, over the top kinda way. Look at all those fucking lights!
>>6383523
That guy has issues.
>>6384837
They're not bad actually. They feel solid, and are essentially just up-sized versions of the Max Factory Bio-Fighter collection figures.
But yeah, Gigantic Dark coming with only one sets of hands was a bit of a dick move.
Can't complain anymore though since the company went under.
>>6390122
What is that mini-gigantic?
>>6393005
It's from one of the two Gashapon sets.
>>6393005
>>6393038
The 2nd set also had a few good ones.

OP here.
So I decided to get the OVA version (purple one.)
I'm happy with her. She's smaller than I expected. Not having the arm-detaching issue I keep hearing about much (it's come off a couple times while posing but only when pushed a bit and it goes right back on.) The HF blades DO seem to have an issue staying in since their pegs are so shallow and I'm worried about losing them. Some hands fall out sort of easily due to the piece sticking forward off the wrist. She's overall nice, though. Worth the money, but wouldn't have been worth the scalper price she might be at later on.
