Does anyone know if there are any plans for Hot Toys, Sideshow or any other 1/6 scale manufacturer to release a figure of Sofia Boutella as the Mummy?
>>
>>6367773
Yes A toy that represents the film as a whole has been announced.
pic related.
>>
>>6367773
Best not hold your breath. The movie won't be successful enough to warrant anything in the collector's market.
>>
>>6367773
I'd more likely expect something of the old movie.
>>
>>6367782

Implying no one would wanna buy a figure of this.

I seriously hope some 3rd party company does it
>>
>>6368337
I sure don't want it. It (and the movie) look terrible.

Keep that hope alive though.
>>
>>6368505
Seriously? Shs would be far better to own than 20 Iron Man or how many versions Hot Toys keep releasing of that
>>
>>6368680
Those 20 Iron Man figures sell like hot cakes though and look great as display pieces.

Stop thinking with your dick. Your best bet is a third party doing the figure for you.

>>
Do you have any idea how many characters that people want to fuck from media that ISN'T trash don't have figures?
>>
You would think they would already have a few collector items like 1/6 figures in the works if Universal is trying to have this big Dark Universe thing. Or is the whole thing so rushed they haven't gone there yet? Maybe having big name actors in the lineup hinders figure production for licensing fee reasons. Might need to wait for a few decent films, if Universal doesn't pull the plug first.
>>
>>6371324
Universal tried to restart Universal Monsters with The Wolfman 7 years back and it went nowhere. I don't know anyone who really has faith in this MCU knockoff with monsters working.
>>

>The movie won't be successful enough to warrant anything in the collector's market.

Some Chinese 1/6 "company" will make an unlicensed version of Tom Cruise and the Mummy chick. Chinese 1/6 fucking love celebrity figures so the Tom Cruise is basically printing money and they can spin the Mummy to be slutty or some shit. Which for Chinese collectors, who are the primary 1/6 market now will buy those up because the Chinese market seems to like three things: the same modern military special operations figures over and over again, celebrities, and fetish dolls.

I'm not going to. OP, if you're so interested in sandy vags and bandaged tits, why don't you just get a Monster High Cleo DeNile doll?

Not OP but you would have to be retarded to go from "Want 1/6 scale figure of specific mummy character" to "buy completely unrelated character from a line that is not at all aesthetically or proportionally compatible with literally any of the 1/6 scale collector market".

Monster High and collecting it is perfectly fine. That you think it's the same thing that OP is looking for makes you retarded.

I don't live in America so remember shipping is a lot overseas and it is ebay where I saw it on

And no it is not shit. It looks awewome.

I am going to wait until end of this year or so cos I have bought so much recently and can't afford to spend anymore at the moment. Hopefully it goes down in price or something
>>
>>6379860
Right. Those prices I listed were including shipping it overseas TO America. Also on eBay.

Don't you dare pay $200 for that ugly thing.
>>
>>6379990
>thinks shipping overseas is the same regardless of living in America or elsewhere

Different countries have vastly different trade laws and taxes and all that crummy crud. Australians get hit with pretty massive fees, I beleive Argentina is beyond bonkers with having a set limit of imports you may have shipped per year!
I do agree with you he shouldn't bother with that figure for that much, but if he absolutely positively loves that character and needs merchandise of her, then that might be his only shot.
>>
>>6380053
Sounds like someone should find a new country to live in then.

Look, we both know that OP is never going to get his ideal 1/6 Sofia Boutella Mummy figure. The film bombed hard and will be totally forgotten within a year. There's almost zero merch for the film now, save for that stupid Funko Pop. And there never will be any in the future.

That being said, At least I gave OP an alternative toy to satisfy OP's newly acquired mummy girl fetish. That's more than what you contributed to OP's plight other than "Durr hurr UR retarded." So unless you got something better to recommend to OP, kindly go fuck off.
>>
>>6381084
>So unless you got something better to recommend to OP

I did provide an alternative >>6371533
>>6373321

The Chinese opening weekend alone was almost as much as the entire US take (~$52 million and ~$56 million respectively). The entire international opening weekend was almost three times as much as the entire US box office (~$140 million).

There's a decent chance that the Chinese market, which as of the last few years is THE primary market for 1/6 scale figures, will see at least Tom Cruise and the Mummy made.

For two reasons: celebrity 1/6 figures are super popular with Chinese 1/6 collectors. Chinese 1/6 companies have even made fucking NBA stars into 1/6 figures. (Doll) Tits and ass are also very popular with Chinese collectors.

So within a year there will likely be one of two things: Hot Toys will announce the release of an officially licensed Tom Cruise and Titty Mummy OR "Hot Chill Toy Chest Model Cool" (an amalgamation of the infinite names of fly by night Chinese 1/6 manufacturers) will release "Tim Crank as Mercury Raider" and "Sexy Undead Egyptian" without a license because China doesn't give a fuck about intellectual property laws.

>kindly go fuck off.

So no, you fuck off.
>>
>>6379990
>Don't you dare pay $200 for that ugly thing.

That's about average price for 1/6 complete figures now.
>>
>>6382909
Hot Toys are $200 on average.
Companies like Hot Heart are $120 on average.
>>
I would buy one of her shackled in the prison.

Or I could try myself and paint her face with those tiny inscriptions she has in the Mummy movie or nah I would mess it up big time esp paying lot of money for this.

meh PLEASE there must be a company to contact to release a figure of her
>>
>>6383472
>meh PLEASE there must be a company to contact to release a figure of her

Just give it a few months and a fly by night Chinese 1/6 company will likely make either an unlicensed boxed figure or a head sculpt and clothing set.
>>
>>6383717
But how do you a company will make it and I don't wanna wait too long. There must be somewhere to ask or get info on if there are plans or not while the movie is still new
>>
>>6391951
>But how do you a company will make it

I'm estimating based on the shape of the 1/6 scale collectors market (primarily not US, heavily Chinese) and the box office takes of The Mummy in China (the opening weekend was almost as much as the entire US box office take).

>and I don't wanna wait too long.

That's the nature of it. First a manufacturer needs to decide if there is profit to be made, then an initial sculpt needs to be made, and then molds are made, and then manufacturing happens.

It takes time to make something, especially when it involves multiple inputs.

>There must be somewhere to ask or get info on if there are plans or not while the movie is still new

There really isn't. If Hot Toys has the license they aren't going to tell you personally until it's figured out if there's a viable profit there. The knock off fly by night Chinese manufacturers aren't going to tell you until they are getting ready to release because they don't want another fly by night Chinese company literally stealing off of their assembly lines during their factory time (still going to happen to some extent).

And if you call or email to ask them they'll probably assume you're another Chinese company conducting industrial espionage. Because it's such a huge thing for Chinese manufacturers of any consumer good. Just go to a trade show and you'll see Chinese "company" booths that exist solely for their "employees" to walk the floor and get as many photos and as much information about other products as possible so they can produce their own knock offs.
