Im kinda only into a few thing like figma links, megaman, and star wars clone wars lego. I want to get into 1/12 scale star wars clone wars figures but I know I wont be able to afford want i want. plus im in college right now so 1-2 items a month is what I'm at and im good.

I read this like a verb. I was puzzled over what "spreadtoothing" was and why nobody else questioned it. Maybe it was some sport? A new fad?

Anyway, yeah, same here. I wanna cut down (and sell a bunch of my collection, actually) but every time I look over my shit I love everything too much to let it go.

Actually I make most of the releases I want but I do feel spread too thin because it does leave me pretty broke.

What irks me is how this stuff is always expensive to buy. It's expensive at retail and it's expensive after market. But go to sell it off and you can't get anything for it. _That's_ what makes it feel like I can't win.

To me, its a psychological thing as well. I mean, yes, If I had enough money I could be like Gullermo Del toro and buy a house just for my toys or whatever. But otherwise I can more or less buy most of what I want or pursue the collection I want. Its just that after a certain point its hard to have any psychological attachment to a lot of these things. Right now I'm feeling most of my care go to the pricier and larger items in my collection, while all those figmas and figuarts and transformers are beginning to just feel more like mental clutter, not just physical clutter. A lot I just felt compelled to own just to have a character or experience the engineering. I think I'm happier with a moderate collection than going all in to all of my interests.

I think we're on the same page, anon. My problem is literally that I keep buying more toys i don't have room for, in all sorts of different scales/franchises/mediums (toys, models, statues). I always feel like I should grab stuff before the price becomes unimaginable
