I'm going to be staying in Amsterdam for 4 days next week, are there any good places to buy toys there?
I realise I could use Google but I would like some personal recommendations from people who live there or have been there before, this is my first time going.
Space oddity is pretty good. Small though.
'course it depends on what you're after.

I collect Neca, Figma, Figuarts, Mezco, Black Series, Mafex, Medicom, lots of different lines.
Mostly star wars, predator, aliens and terminator.

Where are you from? If you're from outside Europe, wanting to buy toys in Europe would be completely stupid.

I'm from the UK. I usually buy my stuff online from sites like Mandarake.
Why would you go to the hooker and cheese capital of the world to look for toys?

Don't expect any deals. All our shit is marked up more then you'll find online. You brits probably get better deals on most stuff then we do.
Given that, there is a small comic store called "Henk" which has some stuff (again marked up pretty bad). But honestly there isn't much here to be honest.
Going into a regular toy store is useless to because they never sell the more collectible "mainstream" toy lines like legends and black series.
OP here.
I visited Space Oddity today. You guys weren't exaggerating about the prices, wew lad. I almost picked up a 501st stormtrooper for €30 but my stinginess got the better of me.
The merchandise they have is really cool though, very well laid out for such a small shop. The clusterfuck-ness reminds me of home.

You should be taking this opportunity to harvest out-of-print Moebius comics, not looking for tat you could get cheaper on EBay.

>you should buy shit you have no interest in because I said so
Great post anon.

What opportunity? What makes it a good place to look for these?
I'm back home now.
You guys were right. I decided not to buy any toys in Amsterdam. Their prices were absolutely insane.
Henk comics had really common black series figures like Finn, Phasma and ugly Leia for €42. Space Oddity had loads of cool old stuff but their character selection was pretty poor and everything was about €10 too expensive.
CIA comics had Kanan and Sabine for "only" €34 each but I don't watch the cartoons so I passed on those too.
I ended up buying a Gameboy player for my Gamecube from a retro game shop, only €24 which was a fucking steal considering how much they go for on ebay in the UK. Thanks for reading my blog thread anyways. Respect to you /toy/ soldiers in Amsterdam, it's a rough life out there.
