Anyone here have medicom RAHs?
How is the quality?
Medicom RAH general i guess

I have SS Link and Homura and I plan on getting BotW Link. They're both really nice and I like the strategies Medicom uses to hide joints. Having said that, they're basically just 1/6 scale figmas with extra accessories and higher-quality sculpts. You can't put them in crazy poses like you can with figmas, but they're generally pretty neat. The price range can be a bit iffy though, BotW Link is like 300 bucks.
>>
>>6330793
Thx anon
Ya basically the figmas of the characters i wanted to buy didn't look as nice in the reviews and realized they have RAH vers of it.
It seems prices are quite high but i think it's worth it if the quality is good
>>
>>6330765
Quality is fantastic, the leather/latex clothed ones have limited articulation. Females have rubber chest/breats pieces glued to the torso which will degrade over time but that's about it for negatives.
>>
>>6330765
I have RAHs Guts Band of the Hawk ver. and Jotaro Kujo (part 3 ver.), they're very high-end and high-quality.
I was fortunate to find both for ~$160 each, which I think would be a good amount. I don't think I'd ever shell out more than $200 for these though.
>>6330796
The attack on titan figmas are actually pretty good, considering that you can buy 3 for pretty much about the price of 1 used RAH. RAHs are nice to look at, but they won't be as easy to pose and display because of their size.

Bought Levi about a year ago now. Excellent figure but had massive issues getting him set up with the gear. The belt just does not fit the plugs. Tried everything but heat treatment. Seemed to be a common problem and I'm unaware if the other releases suffered the same problem. Excellent range of movement and all the clothing layers really make the difference in the look. Broke a peg last time I attempted to set up the gear and I just gave up on it till I buy more.

I love my RAHs. High quality toys, only minor issues. I have

>Eva Unit 1
Super poseable, can do pretty much any dynamic pose you can imagine. But you must pose within reason, because of rubber arms. 10/10

>Guts: Black swordsman
Details are off the charts. Very smart design, the armor only hinders ab crunch. 9/10

>Skyward Sword Link
The tunic material is a little thick and scratchy. If you take out the extra piece of plastic near the foot you can pose Link better. The accessories are top notch. I love the character, but I can see why some might not like it 7/10

Can't wait to get the BoTW Link! I'm going to make custom gear for him. My plan is to try and recreate the entire Weapon/ armor inventory of the game. I'm glad I got the first Link RAH, for the Hylian shield and Master sword.

The quality is pretty good, and I'd echo the comment about them being larger figmas. They are lightweight, yet have enough heft to not feel cheap or fragile, and the tailoring is quite nice as well.

At this point, I've had Annie and Mikasa for years and they're still fine. That being said, I've only put on the maneuver gear once, then promptly removed it because I didn't want to chance anything for how brittle it felt. Otherwise, they're valued pieces of my collection.

My only regret is selling the first RAH Chun-li.
>>
>>6330765
I want to track down some of the Kamen Rider RAHs, because they look sick as hell.
>>
>>6330765
I had about 15 of them at some point. They look great but the quality and poseability is shit. I only kept two because I really like their look.
>>
>>6330765

Got the Part 6 Jotaro RAH, he's pretty great, fun to set up when we get bored of looking at him in whatever pose.
>>
>How is the quality?
Their bodies sucks. They will fall apart constantly. The sculpting hasn't changed when everyone else is creating better articulated and better sculpted bodies.

Clothing is sub-par compared to other manufacturers. RAH just feels cheap, and looks cheap.
>>
>>6330765
only ones i have are the some daft punk ones but theyre pretty good although alittle overpriced. everyone here are complaining about RAHs articulation but the RAHs i own are probably the most articulate figures i own though the only non 1/6 to compare to is revoltech.

I have one of the Medicom MGS Snake (Cold War Camo), his right arm is a bit loose but overall he's alright. I'm currently trying to hunt down the old RAH Special Forces figures. Have only been able to find the GSG-9 and SAS RAHs on eBay.

I have Unit 01, the RAH of Unit 00 is my grail.

Can get some pretty awesome poses with it if you're patient, the fabric underlay can be a bit fussy. Lots of people have complained about the rubber on the arms but I haven't noticed anything wrong so far and I've owned it for years in a super-dry climate

They're great and decent value at discounted aftermarket prices. 1/6 BJD doll eyes and hair are way too uncanny valley so this is the closest compromise that maintains the "anime" style with the clothes/shoes being changeable.

Not very popular on here though.

Only own one, Jolyne. Was a bit wary about the brand after some things I've heard, but I was really pleasantly surprised. She's a very nice and solid figure that poses extremely well. The only possible downsides I might cite are her seamless torso (may crack over time?) and her shoulders pull out of the body pretty easily, which is puzzling. Maybe it's to get her coat on easier or something?

Anyway, I'm glad I bought her, and based on this experience, would buy another RAH if I found one I wanted.

>>6340397
I think a lot of the complaints about the rubber were just concerns for its longevity over time...but to be honest, I haven't actually seen anyone report tears on the RAH Evas yet, and as you said, it's been a few years. Maybe Medicom has finally cracked the secret formula?
>>
Great quality, but bad scaling.
>>
>>6330765
I hate them, just because their shinji and kaworu looks like crap, huge heads, blank stares, horrible joints, no accessories, and they are so fucking skinny. Avoid the evangelion pilots specially their school uniform versions.

their other stuff is usually great btw

I wish I could afford the SnK RAH's

The fact there is no figma Annie but there is RAH Annie is just one of the reasons why too.

Also not to mention the fact that you can make them wear their Survey Corps cloaks and they don't make the figure tip over at the back without their stands, because they're soft good unlike the hard plastic the cloak is for the SnK figmas

>1/6 scale figmas with extra accessories
I have 9 of them that have a figma equivalent and it seems hit and miss. Sometimes they get the exact same upscaled accessories (e.g. Kyouko). Sometimes they get different accessories instead of the stuff their figma came with (e.g. Moemura). Sometimes they're just damn lacking an essential (still butthurt RAH Sinon didn't have the smile faceplate too).

None of them are that cute though. Which is why I prefer covering the mouth on mine. It's good she already comes with a scarf for that.

Except they are, also nice RAH Shinon holding figma Shinon but what is up with that dress she's wearing that's not very combat appropriate

Cuteness over function and common sense. Change out all my RAH into whatever looks cute. Guns are no different than some handbag accessory. Pic related.

Bright dress? Check.
High heels? Check.
Bad trigger discipline? Check.
Shooting huge rifle standing? Check.

Enough to trigger no fun allowed /ak/ types.
>>
>>6343671
The dress is triggering me, its not her style at all but whatever its your figure

>>
>>6343676
...Someone else accidentally sat on her Hecate. /k/ recommended that as replacement.

>>6342448
Those were their really early creations. I've seen the SAT and GSG9 ones on Mandarake before so you might wanna lurk there too. Consider the Soldier Story line as an alternative too. Their accessories and facial expressions are better quality. If you're just looking for guns I'd say anything E&S.
>>
Seeing mixed reviews everywhere. Is there is a more general rule for which RAHs to avoid for example based on franchise or year released?

Also how are their paint treatments in terms of resistance to UV color fade compared to your typical Figuarts, Figma or Nendo stuff?
>>
>>6345560
older ones end up being pretty bad especially compared to modern 1/6 figures. Id say avoid pre 2014 figures.

They also dont seem to care too much about western characters so their DC, Marvel, StarWars, and others end up being lackluster especially when they try to sell them for as much as their Hot Toy equivalents ,

I usually like seamless joints on figures but RAH does it wrong every time so avoid any with seamless joints or rubber suits.
>>
The "1/6" scaling seems inconsistent on these things so my question is what 1/6 clothing lines fit well on these things?
>>
>>6340397

Ever considered getting rid of that bad boy? ;)
