I had a chat with our local distributor last year and he said that there are talks of a possible Tekken line. If we can have SF, KoF, VF figures, surely Tekken will surely follow but I think it will depend on SF sales if poseable fighting game figures will be profitable.

>>6283447
it somehow looks less detailed than the ML
>>
>>6283442
I just hate the headsculpt. As someone else mentioned, it looks more like Paul Walker than Chris Pratt, and the pale pupils give it a dead-eyed zombie look.

Plus, the ML is legitimately more detailed in some places, most notably the heavily textured jacket. For $30-40 less, and looking as good as it does, I'll take the ML any day. And that's coming from a guy who is pretty critical of MLs. Hasbro just happened to kill it on this one.
>>
>>6283298
Wait, I know this is an SHF thread but was SOC Dragon Caesar really teased?
>>
>>6283439
That jacket looks like its made of Playdoh. Way too soft sculpted and doesn't look like it's supposed to bet made of a pliable material that is worn by a human at all.
Where the fudge are the folds, creases, and waves?
Someone needs to go back to art school.

The face doesn't look like Chris Pratt either. Looks more like some random Spanish guy.

Rocket looks like a GI Joe with the way the joints are made. Better than Hasbro's regular inarticulated Rockets.
>>
>>6283485
To be 100% fair, the jacket does look like it's supposed to be made of leather in the trailer, and this soooorta communicates that a little bit. There should still be bunching and folds though, especially in the arms. I do agree it looks like shit in either case.
>>
>>6283480

I'm kind of conflicted about the SHF Street Fightan line.

Cammy and Rashid looks super dope. Rashid especially because I like the character and it's unlikely that we'll get any other Rashid. One could argue that the scale is fudgeable to have Ryu, Chun, Camy, Rashid + Alex & Zangief from Storm Collectibles making it a very respectable SFV roster.

Ryu and Chun however doesn't look as good. Chun especially has kind of "Akiman style" look rather than the definite SFV look. Not to add I'm extremely jaded with the direction of SFV season 2 and pretty burned out with the game itself.

Why the FUCK did they not go with the 2004-2009 (or even Attitude era) attire? Those were his best ones :(
>>
>>6283842
I basically haven't played a street fighter since the SNES and MVC arcade cabinet, so it's interesting to see people's complaints on the artstyle. I don't really like chun either, but it's mostly because her face is super different compared what they're doing with the rest of the line.

One of the reasons I bought the Shoryuken version even though I hardly care for the other items. Go treat her to a new costume, she'll love it.

>>6283833
Really can't wait for the 2. I'm scouring the net whenever I have free time just to check and see if someone has an early copy. I'll post here the pics whenever I find one.

>>6283851

I'm satisfied with Ryu and Chun-Li's look, granted they don't look like their SFV counter part but more like a general look of the character similar to their VS series look.

I'm mega pissed that they nerfed Chun-Li on season 2 to oblivion to the point where pro players using her are losing and switching mains. Too many whiners who doesn't know how to fight her complained and Capcom listened and now she is barely being used anymore(I hardly see someone playing her online on plat-diamond rank) but I'll stick to her and hope Capcom buffs her on season 3.

Shoryuken pack also included Cammy's battle costume, Hot Ryu and Bison's(Not sure on this one since I don't use him). I'm still waiting for pic related costumes for her designed by Akiman.( I want the black dress and bride gown the most).
>>
>>6283894
ah. did not know about that one.

I'm super casual on SF. SFV is the first time I've played since SF2 was in arcades and Genesis. I only got it cuz it's been so long and also I liked the art style.

Chun-Li was my first video game crush and I've been wanting a decent figure of her for a while now, so I had to get the Figuarts.

>>6283884

I'm looking to buy Mace Windu and Luke Skywalker (RotJ), but I can't find them in the links in the OP. Is it a bad idea to turn to Amazon/eBay?
>>
>>6286291
Amazon/ebay are scalper territory, so you'll likely be overpaying. However, you're really late for RotJ Luke, so you'll have to pay a late tax either way. Windu can probably be found on other import sites.
>>
>>6286291
Mandarake has mace for 3500 so maybe not him, but luke is long out of print so he'll be much harder to get. Amazon had the lowest price when I got mine this time last year, so don't immediately count them out.

I agree. I have both and I don't dislike the unmasked head AT ALL unlike most people, but that's literally the only thing it has going for it. One of its arms came quite loose and the thighs are less likely to keep the figure standing. AoU version was just better in hand (oh and the shield is also more detailed).
>>
>>6285426
I agree, it looks like it could be the best if Mafex doesn't fuck up the QC.

Me too, I bought everyone so far except for Nise Sailor Moon(already have 1st print moon and orig color ver). the Super versions are just using the same sculpt with slight retool(different shoulder design and longer bow) so it's like you are only buying them for the effect parts.

For around the same price, I'm definitely sticking with the Storm line. Their Ryu has a much more elaborate sculpt that adds to Ryu's buff body, less ugly joint/cuts, and better shading details. Not to mention that the gi is removable which adds more display options.
The SHF may have higher articulation range and may be better if you're just looking for articulation, but honestly I was mainly looking forward to the faces since they look more anime-ish.
Looking at both the 2chan thread and the hacchaka post though, they all look pretty ugly. Even the very expressive "gritting teeth" face makes him look like literal goblin, and the standard frown face has that ugly straight black line for the mouth, while the Storm figure actually has sculpted eyes and mouth instead of plain eye decals.
At this point I guarantee that Storm's Chun-Li will also look better than SHF's which just has that generic anime girl face.
Man, I'm glad I skipped out on these.

MVC Ryu is literally just Alpha Ryu though. MVC ripped his sprite from Alpha, same with Ken. Thats why they looked younger, because they were younger, as the Alpha series was set just after SF1.

If you want actual old school Ryu, you'd need to base it off SF2 really.

>>6287641
>Was the statue for the collectors edition also made by Storm Collectibles or is this on model with something?
Looks more like they just didn't fully paint the area they intended to paint where as the Storm Collectibles was designed in a way where it was wrong no matter what. It's pretty common for non-Japanese artists to fuck up on this kind of detail though because they don't understand it as a style choice. They can't wrap their head around eyebrows, eyes or eyelashes overlapping something in front of them for stylistic purposes.

It's also why so many artists who try to mimic anime/eastern styles end up so cringe-tier. They don't truly understand the style and they become babby's first drawing tier and many of them have a STRONG disrespect for Asian art thinking it's primitive or simplistic. So that bias comes out in the form of really poorly done emulation.
>>
>>6287671
It doesn't look like part of the headband or eyebrow though. It's obviously overlapping the headband and it's not textured like hair, so it's obviously skin.
>>
>>6287680
I've seen this happen on other non Ryu figures as well. The eyebrows are raised and usually not textured. So if they miss the paint app it looks like a big smooth tumor lump on their face. They didn't use enough paint.

Still think it looks better than pic related.
We can literally go on for hours like autists, but I think the reason why I like the Storm one more is because I like the realistic look in SFV compared to older games. So to each their own.
But also, clock the difference in skin tone between the head and the neck/body on the SHF...

>>6287578
Yep. http://myfigurecollection.net/item/549006

>>6287630
The SHF joints are very durable, that I agree with. It makes sense that they'd use those kinds of joints for the knees, but I just don't like how it looks. On the long run I value how a figure looks over its articulation/durability.
>Can barely seen in most the shots in the review, almost a non-issue.
It's just a little jarring to me. I like a sculpted butt without any visible cuts.
>Yeah, no. They are the best Ryu faces we've ever gotten.
They're fine if you like the anime/Smash style I guess, but again I like the more realistic SFV look so it's just not for me. I never liked SHF's/GSC's straight black line mouths on their figures, it just looks cheap to me.
>Don't tell me, you're one of those morons who thinks slathering figures in big ugly randomized washes is superior "detail". There is shading on Ryu and it's incredibly subtle. ...So you're basically agreeing with me that there's barely any shading. It's not bad, it's just that comparing SHF and Storm's side by side, I would prefer Storm's because it looks like there's more detail on the figure. I appreciate the SHF for its sleek, clean anime look but I just prefer the grittier SFV look more. I mean, Storm's has sculpted veins and has more detailed sculpt on the muscle definition.

If you're looking for the SFV aesthetic then yes, the SHF are a terrible choice. They are meant to be more flexible in where they can be displayed. They can fit in classic displays, Marvel vs Capcom displays, anime displays, Smash displays and so on.

Here are things I don't like about Storm Collectibles Ryu:
1. The eyebrows were botched. There is no denying it.
2. Articulation limited in areas either due to bulk or bad engineering choices.
3. Slightly off scale despite being advertised as a 1/12 figure.
3. Rubber neck. Totally pointless thing meant to "look better" but which snaps back the articulation and a solid plastic neck would have had the same functonality without having to worry about rubber rot/cracking/etc over time. Figure is covered in joints so who gives a shit about a neck joint being visible?
4. Hadoken is obnoxious to get into his hands and can't be displayed without being attached to him at all times.

I like how Chun Li looks in SFV so I am sorta looking forward to their Chun Li but as a company they've NEVER done any females, like ever. So I wonder if they can pull it off or if their factory can pull it off. Honestly if they just got rid of the dumb use of rubbers I would be more interested but as of right now I feel like the SHF will still be strong in 10+ years and the SC will start having major issues.

I wish I could see more of this kind of neutral analysis instead of endless babbling about how much either the SHF or the SC Ryu suck/are the best.

I personally prefer SHF Ryu for the reasons you provided but I can 100% comprehend why someone would choose the SC instead. But my biggest reason has to be being a collector who tries to stay in the 1/12 scale as much as possible for display purposes...which makes the D-Arts Terry a bit cumbersome in comparison to future Kyo/Iori.

Anon here, yeah I agree, the Storm one is by no means perfect.
The brows are kind of chunky, articulation isn't as high as the SHF (head is limited because of the rubber neck, shoulders also because of the bulkiness), scale is bigger than the usual ~1:12 scale figs.
Still, it's not like it has shit articulation, it can pull off good poses despite the bulk.
For the neck, I found this video that explains that you can make the neck hole bigger which allows greater head movement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc1p5NrM4Pw

Overall the SHF may pull off some more dynamic poses, but I just dislike how the faces turned out and also how simple, one-toned, and smooth the overall fig looks. I was also turned off with how SHF Chun-li's face looks so there's no point in collecting both lines imo...I wanted to get both but it's hard since they're not in scale with each other. Overall for what the Storm Ryu offers it's the better one imo.
Also I'm really liking how the Storm line looks so far, Zangief looks nice and I'm afraid that if Bandai makes an SHF Zangief it'll just end up looking sort of clunky with seams and joint cuts on the body and such.
I also like the characters they're doing. I really doubt Bandai would make a Hot Ryu and other more minor characters like Alex in the future.
But by no means is SHF a bad figure, I just like Storm's more.
>>
I'm going with Storm for my SF collection. Right out the gate we're looking at a 50/50 split between good guys and bad guys (not counting variants) which quite frankly is not going to ever happen with SHF.

I'll sum it up like this: I don't want a Ryu that can scale with a bunch of villains not related to SF, I want a Ryu that can scale with a deep roster of SF villains. It's not hard to imagine which line will suit my fancy, given the history of SHF with villains.
>>
>>6287938
They're based on a fighting game, they can face off against each and it wouldn't be weird. Hopefully after Rashid they do Bison or Vega. They can even size up their Bruce lee and animu his face for a fei long. Hopefully they can kind of turn the SF line into a capcom line and we can get a Strider out of this.
>>
>>6287938
>Right out the gate we're looking at a 50/50 split between good guys and bad guys (not counting variants) which quite frankly is not going to ever happen with SHF.
That's not true. The less popular stuff would just end up web shop exclusives and then Bluefin would have to release them which is pretty likely for this franchise. I'm more concerned with the fact it took FIVE dudes to get a single female out of Storm Collectibles and it's not even a prototype, it's a teaser image. Lots of companies falter on women and I fear they will follow suit.

Bandai is giving us a 50/50 split of women and men. Other characters who placed high on the poll are Juri, R Mika, Akuma, Zangief, Ken and Guile. Yeah it's fairly hero focused but there is still 3 villains in there. Juri, Zangief and Akuma. More importantly if they follow their current 50/50 ratio of women and men it all but guarantees we will get Juri and R Mika next with two other guys.

If this wasn't more of a global property (like DBZ) I would be more worried about never getting villains. Japan typically hates to buy villains and it's why we barely see any of them in lines of franchises with primarily Japanese audiences. With something like SF I fully expect to get the whole cast so long as the sales numbers are good.

Good and even-handed comparison. I for one like Chun Li's generic-ish face as it makes her more compatible with more lines overall. She can fit in with an anime crowd or she can be thought of as a make-up china doll type in a grittier/more realistic line-up.

As for Ryu, it's a bit of a 50-50 for me. I'm an articulation junkie. I'm willing to sacrifice sculpt for articulation. So that's one point for SHF for me. And while I do like the look of SC Ryu more, I'm not a huge fan of Ryu being a big bulky guy. That said, he still looks better than SHF Ryu to me, from a purely aesthetic standpoint.

>I'm more concerned with the fact it took FIVE dudes to get a single female out of Storm Collectibles and it's not even a prototype, it's a teaser image. Lots of companies falter on women and I fear they will follow suit.
They're a relatively new company with a handful of figures under their belt, and before their 1:12 line they've only been making 1:6 scale statues/figs of male icons like Hulk Hogan and Mike Tyson. So it's not like they've been around for years and are only starting to make female figures now.
Obviously since most SF male characters kind of have the same buff body structure, they can churn out grey prototypes out faster than a female character. But looking at how their 1:12 SF and Mortal Kombat figures turned out, I have very high hopes for Chun-li.

I looked at the stuff they've made and they haven't worked on anything female.

I also noticed that some of the figures they've made with rubber bodies have had cracking issues reported. I really wish they'd of not used rubber on these SFV figures because it's not functional in any kind of useful way and it's not necessary to maintain aesthetics when all the other joints aren't covered in rubber like their 1/6 scale stuff.

Even IF the rubber manages to last longer it's only a matter of time. The SHF will hold up better at every milestone, 5 years, 10 years, 20+ years. I like what Storm Collectibles is doing sculpt wise but god damn this is a big deal breaker to me because I need my shit to last longer and I know for a fact rubber will dry out, it's just a matter of how fast.

Makes sense.

Maybe if this line started 4-5+ years ago you'd have a point. Most of the shit coming out these days is trying desperately to cater to global audiences because Japanese customers aren't enough anymore. If the sales on these figures are absolute dog shit then sure, I expect to see them cancel any future figures. If the sales are good I expect to see a substantial number of SFV cast. If they were looking to make money they'd be doing SSF2T figures or something, because those are still the most recognized designs for most every character. Not that the core figures (Chunners, Ryu, Ken, Akuma) that you know will get made, change much between SF games anyway.

I wouldn't be shocked if Capcom approached Bandai to make these and so they want SFV characters made only. They definitely fucked up releasing it early. Should have just called it "Tournament Edition" and clarified it's an unfinished game that would later get a free upgrade to the "Regular Edition" when it was complete. That way the tourney people could have their fun and normal people could wait until it was a feature complete game.

Tons of SHF have overlays. I'm not sure where your issue is specifically with SC, other than you want to find an issue to raise. SHF Bruce Lee having a rubber overlay crotch doesn't diminish its value. Who knows how long that will last. Like you say, it's only a matter of time, but so what?

I'm not going to say that it's not a valid point that you raise, but it's questionable as to why you would point out one particular company over another when clearly one has fewer releases to spread out the perception of its quality. If we're looking at sheer quantity of flaws, look no further than Bandai and its history of floppiness and soft sculpts with SHF.
>>
>>6288189
>comparing soft PVC with rubber
Please don't tell me you don't know the difference. The SHF uses soft PVC, not rubber. The Storm Collectibles uses a combination of soft PVC and then rubber for the neck. Will soft PVC also degrade faster? Who knows. There are no real cases of it becoming brittle and ripping/tearing/etc after a few years though. There are some reports of sticky plastic issues happening faster with softer PVC in the wrong types of environments though. However some people report those problematic figures holding up just fine in the right environments.

The fact is rubber bodies have been tried and tried again due to their ability to keep better aesthetics but they always degrade faster. It's not a brand thing, it's a MATERIAL thing. Whether it's Hot Toys, ThreeA or Storm Collectibles there are plenty of examples of rubber cracking just after a few years. There are also examples or rubber lasting for 5-10 years. However it's science that rubber will lose it's moisture and become brittle over time and there is no way to prevent this, at least not for toys. Doesn't matter what environment you keep it in.

So my issue with them using this material is valid. The soft PVC may not stand the test of time either decades down the road but so far the only examples of PVC having issues have to do with leaning, warping and sticky plastic in very specific conditions.
>>
>>6288128
Cia when?
>>
>>6288206
You're saying this as though rubber cracks like mud under the desert sun. It doesn't. In fact, rubber can be more durable and last far longer than PVC. Look at boot soles, for instance. Rubber withstands wear and tear far greater than flexible PVC soles, because flexible plastics are terrible for long term use.

Will rubber degrade in direct sunlight? Yeah, absolutely. But it won't show stress marks in long term poses like PVC almost invariably will, and it will last for many years in an indoor setting. There's still soft rubber toys from the beginning of the 20th century that haven't turned into piles of dust, so don't speak in hyperbole on the subject when there's irrefutable evidence to the contrary.
>>
>>6288151
>I looked at the stuff they've made and they haven't worked on anything female.
The company has LITERALLY only made around 20 figures so far, chill. I don't see the problem that they haven't made a female figure yet, are you just worried that they might be incapable of sculpting a good female body? Their MK and SFV sculpts are very accurate to the game models so far, don't worry.

>Even IF the rubber manages to last longer it's only a matter of time. The SHF will hold up better at every milestone, 5 years, 10 years, 20+ years. I like what Storm Collectibles is doing sculpt wise but god damn this is a big deal breaker to me because I need my shit to last longer and I know for a fact rubber will dry out, it's just a matter of how fast.
...Isn't the neck made of soft plastic? Well besides if it is made of rubber, it's the only part of the figure that's rubber and I don't think with the small size that it would crack easily. You make it sound like the entire body is made of rubber and will crack in under 3 years.

Different anon here. Read >>6288206, I don't care if rubber last longer on boot soles but you can't deny the fact that rubber used on toys like Transformers Hot Toys and even Storm Collectibles will rot faster than PVC used on toys, it's a known fact with evidence to prove it. Here is a link of the Storm Collectibles Tyson with the problematic rubber body.

Also I know you prefer Storm Collectibles and I don't care about it but please go make a different thread about it since this is the S.H. Figuarts thread, you are way over the topic. You just did the equivalent of a food analogy when talking about software piracy. That's how dumb you look right now. Not going to even debate the points your brought up because the premise is absurd.

>>6288245
>Pretty sure you're the only one scared the fuck out of them using rubber for the neck part, Jesus.
It's been a common complaint since people found out it was rubber and that other Storm Collectibles figures in 1/6 scale that used rubber had cracking issues. Meaning the formula they are using on these SF figures may be just as flawed. But sure, you'll find no shortage of idiots who defend the use of rubber in toys until they end up losing hundreds of dollars experiencing what a shit show it is first hand.

Needless to say this conversation has run it's course. Either make a Storm Collectibles thread or piss off and stop shitting up the SHF general. What needs to be said has been said civilly early on and this is devolving into a subjectanon tier shit flinging contest.

>It's been a common complaint since people found out it was rubber. Meaning the formula they are using on these SF figures may be just as flawed.
I have literally never seen anyone worry/complain about Ryu's neck part cracking because of the use of rubber, aside from you. Comparing it with a 1:6 scale figure that uses rubber all around the limbs + around a metal frame and saying that the 1:12 figure will have cracks in the neck despite its much smaller size is retarded.
And the conversations in here were fine since anons were comparing the SHF fig with the Storm one (which was obviously going to happen since people were doing the same ever since the SHF was announced), just quite positive you're just blowing this concern out of fucking proportion. Stop being such an autist and worrying about a small amount of rubber on an action figure.

>>
>>6288448
>plenty of others to buy it up
You can't take anything for granted these days. The growing sentiment in the collectors market that they can just "wait it out" for prices to go way down is toxic. It's one thing to be unable to afford something or simply not have interest in it until prices drop. It's another to actively be a cheapskate and pretend like it has no negative affects on the lines viability or the industry prices as a whole.

For instance, figma in 2016 -including amazing releases- mostly shelf warmed and sales dropped way below expectations. This meant GSC had less confidence in collectors being able to buy things in the numbers needed to turn a profit. So they had to raise profit margins by raising prices and also pushing more web shop stuff. That was the consequence of people waiting it out for deals. In the case of Bandai it'd probably mean the line goes into web shop only mode which would make it even more expensive.

If he truly thinks they aren't worth the price or has low interest in the line I don't want to pressure him into buying. No one should buy stuff they feel is outside their budget or just have lukewarm interest in.

Currently, there are 2 lines doing SF figures; Storm Collectibles & SHF. The reason why some anons have differing opinions, is the fact that while SC figures are more accurate to the in-game SFV models, the SHF ones do provide more in terms of articulation due to their more generic anime look. Personally, I'm not a fan of how generic Cammy's face is, but I'll still get her because it does show support for the line, and I really want them to do more characters. As for the SC figures, their Zangief does look nice, and if they do release more female figures with acceptable articulation, I might consider getting them. However, everybody's entitled to their own opinion

I personally am a big fan of Street Fighter up to 3. This is simply not the likeness I want so I'm not buying it. It's a toy, this is what happens.

If enough people like it or it suits the expectations of enough buyers, it'll turn a profit to justify making more. I pre-order figures I want and that's regardless of brand or line, as long as I've been able to trust the quality.

I didn't sit on my ass to wait for Ultraman SHF to hit clearance, nor Amazon Alpha, nor revo Venom and revo Spider-Man nor figma Berserker Armor, I pre-ordered all of those. I did however, stopped pre-ordering figmas because the 3 last times I pre-ordered, I really got let down by Solid Snake figma, Guyver and then Saitama. Look at how many people regretting not pre-ordering figmas or shfs still. If the item suits the expectations, people who want it, will buy it or pre-order it. Especially today. Street Fighter is also a franchise that has just as much recognition as other big name franchises... so... really, all that's stopping the sales of characters like Ryu and Chun Li... are the quality of the figures.

The only ones I've found to be safe enough to not pre-order if you think you kind of want it, have been HG Gundam kits.

It took 3 restocks at my local hobby shop for revoltech Deadpool to even be available to purchase for people who didn't pre-order him. I couldn't even get shf of type speed Kamen Rider Drive. I really doubt Ryu is going to shelf-warm, even though I honestly don't quite like it.

Did you ever stop to consider that retail prices have been jacked up so high over the past couple years that collectors are simply unwilling to pay retail prices anymore? And no, the price hikes are not solely due to inflation or rising production costs. The average figma/figuarts costs twice as much as they did just a few years ago and come with less accessories. Max Factory and Bandai need to get it through their heads that these high priced, barebones releases are unacceptable and the only way to do that is to not buy them. Do you know why those Bakuon SHFs dropped to 50% off? Because people aren't stupid enough to pay 12000 yen for a schoolgirl and a motorcycle. 3000 yen for each sounds a lot more reasonable, don't you think? Same thing with that idol Kancolle AGP that costs 12000 for the girl and an unpainted gray plastic stage. It dropped to 2500, because that's what it's fucking worth.

You realize what you just said is incredibly offensive right? Japanese people and Chinese people don't like being directly compared. If you look at Chinese and Japanese art you find very different styles and focuses. Yeah you can find similarities but that goes for every type of art in the world. There are of course more similarities between Japanese and Chinese art than Japanese and American or European art but that particular stylistic trait is definitely a Japanese thing.

With that said...I think it more likely they just fucked up on engineering it and didn't want to fix it. It's also possible they are "realism based" artists since that's more common in China. Even artists there who do anime styled work tend to hammer in realism as much as possible.

Ryu Figuarts review

>>
>>6290295
Hard to say what looks worse, decades-old Marvel Legends or that Spider-Man.
>>
>>6290321
You can keep shitting on that Spidey all you want and it's not going to change the fact it's the only Spidey figure who can get into ALL the poses, not just some of them or in the case of modern ML even less of them due to the retarded limited hips that are worse than bucks with gigantic muscles like the Hyperion mold who can do the full splits.
>>
>>6290345
Sorry, it's crap
>>
>>6290345
The problem with hasbro figures is (like most western figures) they focus on the following

>"image" tier proportions
>minimal cuts for joints to give a cleaner look
>sized to not look "cheap" despite shitty paint apps and even mold defects

I tolerate the sw bs line because I don't do any dynamic stuff, s.h f is as far as I go, and only mechanical characters can be anything revoltech and so forth so I excuse the joints.

That and its expected the western market is supposedly less creative with their posing and thus unessential, why add unnecessary cuts that's intended for poses that only look good at certain angles anyway?
>>
>>6290295
Master Asia should be a playable character.
>>
>>6290354
Some of their newer molds have limitations that don't even need to exist. They are just too lazy to engineer it properly so the joint actually has range. The fact pretty much all the new Spidey figures can't even do anything approaching the splits is ridiculous. Especially when older Hasbro molds can do the splits no problem, including dudes who are body builder types.

Of course even the most articulated western Spidey can't even get close to Yamaguchi in terms of sheer posing options. It's the reason I never bought a Spidey figure until now. What's the point of a Spidey that can't get into Spidey poses? Western collectors tend not to care about that though, I agree.
>>
>>6290345
>ALL the poses
My matey, you can't get it into all the poses, because if you could you'd be able to hide the ugly joint cuts and terrible proportions. It just ain't gonna happen, my blood.

I'd include Gambit, but he has issues the same issues i hate Yamaguchi's Spider-Man for: ugly as fuck engineering. Of course, Gambit has the trench coat to hide the wonky as fuck joints... but the ugly proportions is still enough for me to pass him over even at clearance prices despite the amazing sculpt and paint.

Also, i get a feeling that you think the sculpt/paint is outdated, like a style can ever be outdated.

I'm looking at it like this: If Ryu is that beefy with the SC line, how fucking meaty will Chun-Li's glorious thighs be? Their Ryu is basically SFV game art come to life (for better or for worse), so Chun-Li will also probably be the same. And her SFV thighs are twice as thick as previous game versions.

Gentlemen: we're through the looking glass.

Glad to know Chun-Li(and Ryu?) has pull-out shoulder joints, gives much more range of motion although because of her big chest, she can't cross her arms very well.

to see how her articulation looks like.

Basing on 2ch's Figuarts Ryu and Chun-Li thread:

http://nov.2chan.net/y/res/3657481.htm

They are loving the 2. She is still out of stock on Amiami, CdJapan and Hobbysearch but instock on HLJ, so you better decide fast if you want to buy or not to avoid paying aftermarket price incase her price rises.

Also, is it safe to say that Figuarts Chun-Li holds the title of biggest ass for the Figuarts line and does she rivals figma Sonic swimsuit in that department?

Her bow goes completely transparent on the back despite it being a solid color in the anime. And to top it off her face is identical to the original release there.
