I decided not to get Kaiman and I'm kind of happy because now I can get Shin, who in my opinion is a way better (and less costly) figure.

I have kaiman. He's great, no complaints besides the dubious stuff they used to weather him, which up close sort of looks like dried barf, but on a shelf no one would notice. as the only 1/6 kaiman there's no reason not to get him


I really hope they do en or ebisu. shin is my least favorite

Thanks for posting what you thought about Kaiman that's exactly what I wanted. I wasn't sure whether to get him because my favorites are all the En family but I think I'll get Kaiman too, looks really good in all the pics I've seen.

Typically they use a modified Hot Toys TrueType I think, which is pretty much the best body in the 1/6 game. This one has at least custom arms though.

Oh shit a Dorohedoro thread. I actually picked up Dorohedoro after seeing Kaiman on /toy/ then picked up Kaiman. I really like him, tho his suit kind of messes with articulation occasionally.

Does anyone know if there's a particular reason Dorohedoro suddenly got this (relatively risky, expensive) treatment? I love that it's happening but it seems unexpected.

Been reading the mangaka's blog, she has quite a lot of 3A figures, seems like she had connections with ppl in threezero too, also Treezero Is licensing every "niche" stuff they can, hopefully they dont end like hot toys doing 20 fucking versions of Iron man and Suicide Squad.

As expected, Hayashida has good taste in toys. There are certain mangaka that you can sort of tell would love stuff like 1/6 kitbashing, and Hayashida does not disappoint in this respect. Tsutomu Nihei is another artist that I suspected would be into kitbashing, and that proved true as well (he actually came up with the Tsugumori design by buying a shitload of plamo and mashing them up into his final design).
