I don't do gundam but I did go to a Tamiya shop in I-Park Mall in yongsan and The Gundam Base. There was a lot of stuff there.
I also loved visiting Volks in Hongdae, it is a doll shop but does sell figures and plamo there too. I got some of those pokemon Plamo there for a decent price.

> Tfw banned from Gundam Base
Wonder if it's international
>>
>>6268297
How do you get banned from a store? Were you like opening all the boxes or what?
>>
>>6271773
I was taking photos of a display and some people were upset by that, thought I was taking photos of them.
>>
>>6268248
God that store looks so clean and nice.

What a difference not having shitty parents and their 'snowflake' uncontrollable children make.
>>
>>6268248
Sweet I have some relatives in Seoul so I can probably stop by

Find this Anon >>6275100 He's currently surrounded with Legos and is bragging he can steal smaller sets, and he's trying to prove he's not a nigger and offer a greater share of his loot
>>
>>6268199
watch out for knock off. cheep = knock off
you get what you pay for.
>>
>>6268199
Get some biklonz, they are pretty dope korean combining robots. If you end up not liking them, you can sell them state side for quite a bit.
>>
>>6268199
they say lego is cheaper in Korea because the china factory is close, see if its true
>>
>>6268248
Actually, GB is nice(After all, it's Official Bandai direct mall) but bit expensive than other gunpla dealers. almost 1:1.2
In return it gives 5%point system&stamp cupon, but not that useful for tourists.
Asem hobby in Yongsan or Hobby factory in Hongdae'll be better
>>
>>6277691
If you find Onepiece figure in a non-hobby shop, It's like 98.999% knockoff.
>>
>>6268199
NonNo21 of International Trade center will be nice.
It's quite expensive, but has wide variety of things.
Some of pepsi bottle cap series(Pepsi-man, Gundam, etc) can be found in second-hand corner.
>>
>>6279808
My bad.
int'l trade center(X)->Kukje Electronics Center (Nambu terminal-O)

if you'r into lego check out Lotte world mall. they are opening a 2nd lego store soon. so stop by and get the limited lego store set (you have to pay for it but that thing is very rare, they only sell it when they open a new lego store). also you can buy a key chain 2X4 lego brick and get a free engraving service

Aw shame I'm going to Korea in july
>>
>>6275168
If you like lego try the dongdaemun toy alley. I recall a large store carrying lots and lots of lego and knock offs as well.
>>
>>6283544
yeah don't go to home plus or big department store if you'r getting lego. dongdaemun toy alley, thats the best place to buy lego, 20 to 30% off from msrp. you might even find retired sets some time.
>>
I'm going to korea then too. End of june just start of july. Going to be looking for tobots and turning mecard toys
>>
>>6286451
Definitely I made a point to go to the one Toys R Us in Seoul and it really fuckin sucked fyi
>>
I would not want to be in South Korea right now with the current state of the world.

Be safe Anon
>>
>>6287486
Yeah i been watching the news i hope things get better before july... I dont have that many opportunities to visit my extended family

when buying lego in Korea look for the seal code.
typically its a clear tape with two digits and a alphabet and one digit code with a black bar on top of the tape. usually located on the lower center of the box or side. if the box has this tape it means there might be a promotional gift inside. like a polybag or a small yellow box. one thing you can do is compare the weight of the box that has no seal code

you get the idea.
FYI not all box with that tape has polybag
>>
>>6289697
Thanks. That's interesting. Can you also just buy polybags by themselves there?
>>
>>6291736
yes they do. also don't forget to ask for it too, if there is a promotion going on let them know.
and ask nicely if you can get a extra one, sometimes you'll get an extra one.

I lived in Busan for about 12 years, here's what I remember:

SMALL toy stores in winding parts of a neighborhood will often carry a mix of discontinued lego/bionicle sets. Obviously, if it doesn't explicitly say 'LEGO' and has some chinese shit written on it, don't buy it. If it does say LEGO but has some moon runes, it is domestically repackaged, so it's gucci.

I bought a lego Aquasharks 6190 for 40 bucks (45000 KW), from 1996, in the summer of 2011. Mint in sealed box.

Gundam prices are comparable for the most part to prices in the US.

Larger stores are pretty similar to those you'll find stateside, albeit everything is in Korean (duh)

You could see if you can book a flight with a long layover at either Narita or Haneda airport in Tokyo. Once your flight lands in Tokyo, check the luggage and take the train or metro to central Tokyo and shop for toys for a few hours. Hop the train back to the airport and catch your flight to South Korea. Or schedule a long layover coming back so you can make a stop in Tokyo. It'll be worth it.
>>
>>6279377
Don't think so, Dude. LEGO is hella expensive in big cities in China (Shanghai). They cost 30% more than the same LEGO in the US LEGO stores. That's probably why there's so much knockoff LEGO in China/Hong Kong. Your average schmuck can't afford the real stuff. They make less money than US workers but they have to pay more for genuine LEGO.
