>The Hasbro Spider-Man Homecoming Marvel Legends movie figures are expected to be released in Spring 2017.

>Warlock wave is now showing up at Walgreen's & other various retailers.
>>
Warlock wave is at all my Targets now and I live in NC where we never get anything cool, I advise you guys to get to Target if you haven't been lately.
>>
>>6260182

>Fingerless gloves

Way to leave your fingerprints everywhere
>>
>>6260655
The best part is, the trailer suggests this isn't a rookie suit but instead what he has to make for himself after Stark confiscates his fancy suit.

So the main suit for the movie, effectively.
>>
>>6260698

I like that you didn't pay attention to anything at all. That's the suit he was using during Civil War, he just goes back to using it.
>>
Found. Colossus and Cyclops, do you guys think they'll become easier to find later or should I get them now
>>
>>6260709
It's up in the air. If you find them for MSRP or cheaper than I'd say go for it. I don't think they'll get cheaper, and if they do maybe $5 cheaper at most.

I got my Sunfire, but I kind of want Cyclops too.
>>
>>6260698
>>6260705
He will use it for a scene or 2 before getting back the stark suit with webbing under the arms, remember the stark line on the first trailer? "I made a couple of upgrades".
>>
>>6260710
Thanks anon, I'm gonna at least get cyclops later today. I got Logan but his leg joints (not the knees) are loose after moving them one time, I'm not sure if that's normal or not, they have another so I don't know if I should get that one or if I'm just being OCD and it's normal
>>
>>6260731
I picked up Grampa Logan and his legs were like spaghetti right out of the box, so you're not alone there.
>>
>>6260713
The leak confirmed he uses the old suit to kind of reaffirm he doesn't need the suit. It's kind Pete going through what makes him Spiderman, like how Tony had to decide how he was Iron man.>>6260731
>>
>>6260745
Best reply I've ever gotten
>>
What did Bandai mean by this?
>>
FYI Amazon is getting the warlock wave in now-ish, I got a preorder this morning for colossus that should be here next week. Set up those nowinstocks.

>>6260731
My cyclops and shatterstar have above average looseness in their ankles and knees. They both do that thing where the ratcheting is spotty and the knee will just rely on friction for one of the hinges.
>>
Anyone have an updated checklist?
>>
>>6260789
Holy shit I'm going back to Target to get colossus and Cyclops I left there, Amazon prices are scary

So who do you think is gonna be hardest to find for the new Spidey wave?

Who's gonna shelf warm?

>Hardest to find
Moon Knight
Cosmic Spidey
>Shelfwarm
Vulture
Tombstone
>>
>>6260908
Switch Cosmic Spidey and Vulture.
>>

spiderballs, spiderballs, look at petey's spiderballs

Moon knight is gonna be fucking impossible, feelsbadman. I did pick up Dazzler at a Target so I'm solid on that x-men wave at least.

If you have Sunfire, Capwolf is a must-have for hand harvesting, and a KO Tamashii effects set is also useful.
>>
>>6260275
Targets in AZ only have GotG Vol 2 right now. And the Groot wave for some reason. Haven't seen Warlock yet. I also am in Chicago for the week and checked Target when I was getting some supplies. Only had GotG stuff as well. They surprisingly had Nova and Yondu but I already found them. Angela is still eluding me.
>>
>>6260908
Moon Knight for sure, along with the movie figures may be harder to find at first. Beetle, Tombstone, and Cosmic Spider-Man will be shelf-warmers.
>>
Amazon has both and I haven't picked up a legends in a while, movie star-lord or angela? Based purely on which is the better toy.
>>
>>6260995
Thanks for the tip anon. Just snagged Angela. I already have all of the wave except for Vance and Drax. The new Drax isn't ebough of an upgrade to justify the purchase. I'm still debating on Vance though. I've seen plenty of him though.
>>

Angela has grown on me. Star-Lord is pretty great, and Drax is really great if you didn't already have one.
>>
>>6261215
Went with angela, I guess I'll end up getting most of the wave eventually and they'll be easier/cheaper to get than her.

>Drax is really great if you didn't already have one.
Yeah, I skipped most of the first movie wave so it'll be cool to pick him up now.
>>
How does the Legends DP head look on the Revo?
>>
>>6261363
I don't have both anymore so I can't take a pic, but not great. The neck way the neck is made, the legends one sits waaaay too high.
>>

Nah, it's an overcomplicated McFarlane hip joint in which it looks fucking ugly with all those pieces.
McFarlane was able to hide the joints really well and keep it from looking ridiculous while giving a huge range of motion.
>>
>>6261714
Nah I'm pretty sure it's like a DCUC joint: forward swivel, outward hinge, thigh cut. Only it's all well integrated together and doesn't have ugly gaps.

The McFarlane joints used a large double ball joint for the outward motion and thigh swivel, causing them to look rather weird proportionally when spread outward, and the range of motion wouldn't be enough on a Spider-Man figure.
>>
>>6261679

Really? Then how come I dont see any of these hanging out with misty knight, or hawkeye, which are older than most of these.
>>
File: cheering spartan.jpg (300KB, 1029x1285px) Image search: [Google]
cheering spartan.jpg
300KB, 1029x1285px
>>6261719
NOPE.
The older McFarlanes are just swivels like a Kenner figure with a barbell joint a little further down.

So the sculpt remains mostly unbroken to look as good as possible while giving as wide or range as other thigh joints.

As you saw from that pose, it seems to have the same as wide stance as Spiderman.
Same type of motions, unlike the DCUC hips.

So it's much closer to what the Figuarts joint is like, but not such a clusterfuck of busy pieces.
>>
>>6261728
But it is, since it gets the same types of motions without all those busy pieces.
The DCUC would never be able to get that.
>>
>>6261724
your results may vary. different places have different things that pegwarm but those are and were the big peg warmers at their time. just because they aren't still there after a a year or more doesn't mean they didn't shelf warm for months at the time of their release.
>>
>>6261761
>just because they aren't still there after a a year or more doesn't mean they didn't shelf warm for months at the time of their release.

Right, so why bother mentioning the dr.strange wave, which is still shipping, and Gotg vol 2, which just came out and.the movie hasn't yet? I mean, is shelf warming literally the opposite of scalper bait? Either something is hot and desirable or dude? In my opinion it is a shelf warmer when it lasts over a year. Cause some of this shit ships for over 6 months.
>>
>>6261734
Not the same anon, but it really basically is just a much better executed version of the DCUC concept: a swivel/hinge hip with a thigh swivel. They move the thigh swivel up to the base of the hip joint so that it doesn't look like shit.
>>
>>6261768
But the DCUC hip is shit and doesn't get that range.
Whereas the McFarlane hip does and isn't overcomplicated.

It's like comparing an old fashioned telephone (DCUC) to a smartphone (SHF).
The McFarlane is a Danger Hiptop.

DCUCs are rudimentary as fuck compared to what you're trying to compare it to and awful even compared to a normal ball jointed toy like an MU or GI Joe figure.
Why the fuck did Mattel even want to use that type of joint anyway? Was it really that much cheaper to produce?
>>
>>6261675

The Doctor Strange wave has like 2 MCU figures in it. The rest of the wave is a reissue of a boxed set that any hardcore DS fan already bought.

What a shitty figure line up.

So the GotG box set is only $73 on Amazon. I already have all the Groot wave and most of the Titus wave. Upgraded my Starlord and added Yondu, Kid Nova, and Darkhawk to the mix. I ordered Angela from Amazon and should get her on Monday. So I'm pretty deep in the movie versions of them already but that box set is tempting. I don't know if it's worth it if I already have the movie versions.
>>
>>6261763
>which just came out and.the movie hasn't yet?

Because that's the right way to get merch to the fucking store, guy. Movie merch has a short lifespan, it comes and goes, and if they miss the window, then they're SOL.

The smart thing is to get these figures out in advance so it gets the buzz and then shit gets picked up when the movie actually releases. If you wait till after the movie is in theaters, you could be out a month or more of spent money.

Target got the Spider-Man Sandman wave in, which I already had...but then I realized they'd made Shocker a damn variant by giving him the Thunderbolts symbol on his belt/abdomen.

What's the pricing estimate on the A-Force set? Par for course would put it at around $120, but that seems kind of extravagant.
>>
>>6263817
Articulation is usually not as good as Legends, but the size and paint apps make them really good choices for larger characters like Rhino and Juggernaut. I have the Thanos in your pic and a few sloppy paint apps aside, it's really nice. Just don't expect super-dynamic poses from them.

I got the legends Deadpool and when I was getting it out I had to use a little force to get the right leg out

Every joint was super tight but the right leg was a little loose, nothing crazy to bitch about unless you're as nuts as me, but it got me wondering, does the looseness of these figures depend on how easily you get them out of the packaging? Like would it have been tight if i took it out more gently or was it destined to be fucked

I want to know why sometimes these guys have spaghetti limbs and I'll be sad if it's my fault this whole time

>>
>>6263840
They're good options for certain characters. I collect X-Men, of which they have a lot of figures for around $25, but they're bigger and, like Anon said, less articulated. I have their Colossus and Sabretooth. Probably will get their Juggernaut eventually, but for characters like Storm, Nightcrawler and Magneto, I don't want them to tower over my Marvel Legends. None of those 3 have Marvel Legends figures for less than like $100, and I like the detail on them, but I fell like all or most of them will be appearing in the next wave.
>>
>>6264306
I'm wondering this, too. You're gonna find Anon that neither has a recent Marvel Legends figure and Nightcrawler's Marvel Select is about $70, not that different in price than his old Marvel Legends. Also, the Select is gonna be taller than any Legends you might have; fine for Colossus, not for Kurt.

This beast looks good, but I think there's two versions of this dude https://www.amazon.com/Stealth-Action-Figure-Grappling-Launcher/dp/B000W98RSQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1491225416&sr=8-4&keywords=beast+action+figure

Just seconding or thirding, less articulation, probably better paint and sculpts. They are technically 7" scale so they work best for large figures.

I have Age of Ultron Hulk and that Thanos, both are nice and work well with ML.

I also have the modern Hawkeye, he's way too tall to work with ML, though I don't mind because I love the character. I want to pair him with ML Kate Bishop eventually, which only works, maybe, because Kate is shorter than Barton.

>>
>>6266442
It's a cool figure, but it's not particularly great. Same issues as most iron man figures and the head on mine is a real pain to switch. Go for it if you like the design enough, but otherwise I'd agree with the other guy who said to wait for under 10. I got mine for 7.
>>
>>6266442
Should have gotten it from Walmart's site a few months ago for under $10.
>>
>>6266442
I got him for around 8 bucks for a friend back around Christmas as he wanted one bad, not a bad figure by any means, I actually really like that mold myself, but he had all the same issues the other Iron Man figures on that mold have had. His legs were warped, the pads over the back of the hands were also a bit bent, and a few of his joints were loose.
As others are saying, shoot for 10 or under, and Walmart might still have him for around 7-8.

Also, did anyone even see the Abomination wave in stores? I saw Captain Britain and Secret Wars Cap once, and that was it.

All the x-men stuff has me wanting a magneto and both the recent options are kind of garbage so I'm gonna try my hand at a low effort custom.

>body is walgreens punisher
>hands are from spider-carnage
>head is the onslaught baf
>cape is from brother voodoo. I'm not happy with the tatters, but the way it comes around the neck is perfect so it stays for the time being
>It'd also be way more work, but I'm thinking about using the arms off a walgreen's namor because they wouldn't need painting and they already have bracers sculpted on.

I'm gonna ask the customs thread if I go through with it, but I've got a couple general questions. Does the head look too big? I put him next to a couple other legends and it's definitely off, but it's also kind of the linchpin of the whole thing as it's the only magneto head I actually like. Also, is there an easy way to strip the white paint off the body? I seem to remember someone here saying a stain remover pen worked really well.
>>
>>6266549
>>6266613
Yep. The Red Skull head meant for the Onslaught BAF is pretty large. It fits perfectly on Cable's peg, but not many others--not even Nuke, who shares most of the same mold and proportions as Cable.

So I got home from work today expecting Angela to be waiting for me only to find an open box and disappointment. just search on ebay for 1/6 logan figures.

i just look around until i find one in my price range. some people sell "kits" and sometimes you need to get creative and look around for similar products to match your needs.

i'd stay away from "official hot toys" just because they raise the price just based on that it came from an actual hot toys, when other brands may work just fine.

well there's 3 wolverine bodies that are popular for a custom. one is the one i got, there is one with seamless rubber arms and the last one is the 2.0 extra muscular wolverine body, with like more chest hair and bulky body. i'm not sure which one you want. but if you just want him in the suit from the beginning you don't need to pay for an extra muscle body a regular one will look fine and the clothes will hide any issues.

i got this little kit for the clawed (real) metal hands and it came with dog tags with his name on it. so that was cool.

I tried this as well, back when I got taskmaster.
>>
>>6268484
Why? They're both just on a ball joint right? Just pop them off and switch them. Are they different sized ball pegs?
>>
>>6268509
Seriously? The new one, or the old ToyBiz one? I'll do it in a heartbeat.
>>
>>6268504
I love this setup. Are the bases from Select figures?
>>
>>6268572
Nope, just from the glory days of Marvel Legends in the early - mid 2000's when you got a figure and cool display base for $7.99.

>>6268509
Seriously contact me if you're serious about trading your 90's style Jean for a Phoenix. I have other stuff I'm willing to trade as well.
>>
>>6268584

sent :)
>>
>>6268572
Oh, and you also got a comic as well in the early Legends waves. They only drawback was they tried to add too much articulation to a lot of figures and sometimes it made for a crappy figure with weird proportions.
>>
>>6268587
Made me look. Damn you.
>>
>>6268591

Also a BAF part.

A large one, often as large as the figure.
>>
>>6268584
He doesn't have one you're a sucker.
>>
>>6268750
I'm sure he has one. Why would someone lie on the internet?
>>
>>6268013
Was he part of the Phalanx or no? I get all that stuff mixed up these days. Maybe I'm thinking of Cameron Hodge.
>>
Black Panther is actually shelfwarming where I am.
>>
>>6268515
You have to dremel the ball peg for Tb head to fit
>>
>>6268228
Honestly you dont even have to paint it. It's slightly off but I actually kinda like the difference in shade. And yeah, paying a lot for this figure wouldn't be worth it unless you got his loose for 10 bucks.
>>
>>6269062
I was talking about painting a head cast.
>>
>>6263570
How far would you have to dremel? Just until it sits flush right?

> Finally decide to order Nick Fury on Amazon even though it's $20, at least it's not marked up

> Arrives today while at work

> Go to Ross after work

> Nick Fury, $7

At least he has useful alternate heads.
>>
>>6269631
I want like 3 of them so I should check ross...
>>
>>6269643

Mine only had one Nick Fury and an Iron Man from the same wave. May be worth checking but the stock seems to be kind of hit and miss.
>>
>>6269643
I haven't seen Black Panther or Fury at any Ross. I want at least 2 more Furys for Shield agents and you cant beat 7 bucks for them
>>
>>6260655
>Has no record
>More importantly he has those little claw things on his fingers that make his fingers stick to shit, so they won't find fingers prints anyways
I mean I am going on the Raimi films for that second point but still.
>>
>>6269070
Oh, i gotcha!
>>
>>6269658
I work at grocery store that has like two BP, nick fury, and venom just peg warming. It's so odd! Although its the south side of town so maybe the $22 price point might be too high for people. The GM dept even marked down the Sandman wave for $8 a figure!
>>
>>6269759
I'm in the Chicago suburbs and haven't even seen the Sandman wave. I still need that Thunderbolts Shocker
>>
>>6263980
Silvermane should have come with shocker and Speed demon should have had an alternate leg with the duct taped roller blade.

Cosmic Spidey will warm right beside the space guy with the Cap shield in the GOTG 2 wave
>>
I'm getting tired of posing my legends figures once and them getting permanently loose as nuts. Is like, one step up from these figures in terms of durability without paying a shit ton?
>>
>>6269631
>>6269643
>>6269649
>>6269658
Capwolf and Mordo seem to be the most prominent Ross finds. I've only seen Fury and BP once at a Ross that's in a more affluent neighborhood--out of four Ross stores in my city.

>>6269824
I'm probably wrong about this, but I feel like people will snatch up Cosmic Spidey for that bearded Pete head. Beetle and Tombstone will definitely be the new Beetle and Speed Demon (as in every Target peg filled with those two characters). Moon Knight will be scarce as fuck.
>>
>>6270134

Any reports of Nuke and Commie Cap? I'm close enough now I'm thinking I may try to complete the Giant Man BAF.
>>
>>6270275
I think the breakdown went like this for me (broken down by number of stores a figure was sighted at):
1 store: BP, Fury, Civil War Iron Man, Titania (Hulkbuster wave)
2 stores: Civil War Cap
3 stores: Nuke
4 stores: Capwolf, Mordo

No Red Guardian in my area.
>>
>>6267773
He's pretty nice, and is different enough from his previous release to justify the purchase. If you have any, check your nearby FYE(s), as that's where I've been finding a lot of the more recent Legends.

the way you framed those comics is drives my crazy. you should space them all evenly rather than crammed together in the middle.

>>
>>6270644
if they were spaced out the picture it makes would just look weird. I do think they would be moved around a bit so the parts that transition from cover to cover would mesh better.
>>
>>6270660
that's pretty solid MCU-esqe lineup. could maybe use a Sharon Carter, but there isn't an MCU Carter so not really that important. Maybe Fury and Hill but they are pretty inconsequential. And I don't know why they haven't made an MCU Vision but they really need to get on that. which War Machine is that by the way?
>>
Ive been trying to get into buying more Marvel figures, mostly because my collection is primarily DC, but every time I glance at their selection they look so goddamn cheap. Is there a recommended line of figures you guys can give me?
>>
>>6270725
That's the Figuarts Mk II. Thought about picking up the SHIELD 3 pack quite a few times but could never pull the trigger, even when it was like $20.

Depends. What characters are you interested in getting?
>>
>>6270758
Anything really. You know whats funny though? I would totally buy the figures they make up for variant covers. Infamous Iron Man (Doom), Superior Doc Ock, but I'll settle for some decent Sinister Six stuff
>>
>>6270660
You should stick with one style.

It's going from cartoony faces to realistic faces a little too much. That Thor, Wasp and Black Widow need to be taken out.

Also, Hawkeye's head is super big. Is it a Marvel Select?

It's a constant work in progress, so I plan to replace the comic versions with movie versions as they're released. I was just happy to finally have a "complete" team with the addition of SH Figuarts Hawkeye. And yeah, his head is a little big, also wish he wasn't so short, but he's better than the Legends one imho.
