It's the uncanny valley. The skin looks really close to real, but there's a rubbery quality to it that throws the whole thing off. The same principle applies to Phicen bodies, so while I like the outfits and head sculpts, I'd much rather have a traditionally jointed figure. Plus, I don't like the idea of the material cracking and tearing over time.
