Caution when posing with the Bubble Launcher. I posed today with my Shiza and the piece broke the hand's articulation (the pin). I had to use super glue, and I will never pose again with this bubble.

It depends since certain issues come pop up on specific characters and I can't be assed to make a rundown on each per part.

Just price reference Mandarake and figure out who you're comfortable with. Unfortunately we're in a time where the anime has pushed for sales and now specific releases (1st, 2nd, 3rd, WF, Limited, Colored ver.) can vary the costs now since anime fans are buying in droves. Just know articulation is generally average and the older the release the more you notice the age and sculpt ideas.

Also a rule of thumb is some may have paint that may have been laid a little thick so some joints can feel super tight so use warm water or a hairdryer to loosen key areas. A major detail is ALWAYS pull up when swapping necks and never at an angle. If it's too tight then use warm water to loosen and pull up carefully.

Also reissue SAS have the new skin paint apps which are much lighter in tone versus the originals. Also there is a box difference between them (Matte for original and glossy for newer SAS)

Otherwise a lot of issues and acessories can be found on reviews posted in the OP and by using Myfigurecollection as a sort of database for releases and user photos.

Also if you're open to trying the newer IP's I really reccomend the Aijin/IBM SAS. I rarely see anyone else really post him beyond a few scant threads but he nails this simple but creepy aestheic with lanky limbs offering fantastic range of motion. Plus he towers over lines like Figma's schoolgirls.

Shinichi is another rec of mine and Medicos made a ballsy move with the manga design versus the modern anime but he comes with fun acessories with the only downside of single joints for arms.

Can't comment on Kinnikumen but articulation is probably the strongest point due to the body design versus the clothes on the JJBA mainline SAS but it ended rather soon and Bandai just dominated it with SHF.

Pink Giorno (1st) for delicious pink. He has exceptional paint job, especially when you consider his 2nd ver.
Whichever Mistas color scheme you prefer.

for Giorno i absolutely recommend you the first, no doubt. He's got, in my opinion, the best paintjob in the whole line, the pink is sort of pearlescent, while giorno second has flat paint, no shading and terrible hair. Don't know about WF Giorno since I've never seen it in person.
Both Mista are great, just get the one you like better, I prefer the second for orange sex pistols and zebra pants.
Bruno again, personal preference, I'd recommend you the first, since white with black dots and golden details looks very classy. The second is good too, but those green details are a turnoff for me, and in the end it's another blue figure.
If you want more p5 figures, I recommend you, no spoiler, the main villain. He looks great and the intricate design is very well exectued. Narancia is fun too, and Fugo is still super cheap on mandarake.

I want to thank the anons who recommended some proxy services to use a couple of threads back. I wasn't the original person who was asking but I found the information very helpful. I went along with one called TokyoBuyers and ended up getting a Star Platinum Third when I was losing hope in getting one without biting a hefty latecomer's tax. Since then I've ordered a Josuke and Soft & Wet which should be ready to be shipped soon.

Not really sure what you're aiming to do with either. They just look little stiff like you only adjusted a few key points but didn't mess around with the serious range of motion Joseph has to give a display pose. not even sure what Ceasar is doing.

Also work the way the shot is supposed to present itself becuase sometimes I've seen SAS photos with odd posing included but once you bring the frame in front then I can figure out what you're actually doing. The quality is a bit iffy so just focus and reshoot unless your camera is something from 2002 or just plain bad (something akin to the 3ds)

I can see it working so keep it at. Also I feel you on the clackers being a bit odd to pose since they have a sort of motion sculpted to the them and it's something you have to get a feel of when adjusting Joseph's hand and body to present a good dynamic pose. It doesn't help there's nothing like effects to really accentuate that motion so it's up to your idea.

It's not much and my own attempts aren't up to my personal standard but understanding the motion of the act and how the body shifts itself is key to action poses. Ultimately I can just guide you to finding manga pages as direct reference, looking up alterate references online on how weapons are used and the way the bodies look since SAS Joseph has enough leeway to pose due to the articulation scheme.

A bigger thing I tend to notice not many people actually test the abilities of this line and want to actually move limbs, adjust joints or swivel the legs to help enhance poses. Some SAS are super capable of it but it's either fear of hamhanding or not really trying.

At the same time there's nothing wrong with doing model style posing but always see if its good enough with you before posting.

Something that I usually find helpful with this is to actually stand up and try the pose myself. Once I do, I take note of how my body moves, and apply it to the figure.

Just recently I couldn't figure out why my Jotaro pointing looked so stiff, so I tried it myself and realized that when you point, your elbow faces the ground, not out to the side. Twist Jotaro's arm and boom, instantly looked better.

Abbacchio is alright, he comes with piss accessories to go with Giorno's teapot and is pretty well designed. The only thing I don't like is that his long hair blocks his peghole when looking straight so his head has to be constantly looking left or right when using it.

Moody Blues is a pretty cool fig too, the design is great, paint is cool, articulation is fantastic. No gripes with him.

Abba has some of the best accessories of all the SAS, his cloak splits down the middle for better posability but looks pretty bad if you dont line them up properly.

Moody Blues but 2/3 of his alt heads restrict neck articulation a lot.

Abbachio also comes with a head and hands to make him look like a transformed Moody Blues, i'm tempted to buy a second one just to display him like that but i'm holding out for a 2nd color variant.

No, I know what you mean. It's not...terrible, but I'm really displeased with it for some reason. It seems to have inherited the tight pants from her ASB model, which I wasn't that thrilled with to begin with. Headsculpt is a bit eh to me, I feel like they made her head too narrow and face too slim. She looks too lanky to me. Jolyne is a tall girl, but in the manga she looked sorta short-torsoed and long legged to me, whereas the SAS just looks long all over. And why is the top on the SAS designed like that, with the green band interrupting the flow of it? Did she ever actually wear that top, or is it something Medicos invented?

I bought the RAH instead. Doesn't scale with my collection, but fuck it. I like that it comes with a removable coat and captures her pants correctly, which get baggy in the calf and flow directly into her shoes. I would have liked more faces/heads, but I'm pretty happy with the way it's sculpted at least.

Anyway, this is just my opinion, yours may vary. Jolyne is my favorite character and I was hoping for a better SAS release.

This might be a weird thing to nitpick, but I hate how they sculpted her chest. Jolyne's halter top would create a smooth sloping silhouette, which Araki knows, as he draws it that way. But Medicos sculpted them like vacuum sealed superhero tiddies.

They made her top half like that so she can actually move her upper half a bit, and she does get an...alright range out of it. But unfortunately her stupid cape thing completely screws her sitting or doing anything with her legs back and it cannot be moved at all. Her RAH is cool but her face on it hasn't aged well.
The most disappointing thing for her was easily her WF colors. Jolyne has the most outfits out of any jjba character, and yet she gets stuck with hot pink and toothpaste green strings. What were they thinking? A white + pink Irene combo would've been orgasmic.

If you actually want to get anything you'll need to cast a bigger net. Listings can be so varied (Super Action Statue vs SAS, which romanized spellings are used, etc) that hyper specific terms tend to miss alot if stuff. It's annoying sorting through all the emails though.

If you don't want to be notified for every SAS then just try the character's names, maybe with a couple common spellings. The only other thing you'll usually see is the odd statue legend. Use the jap name too for best results from Mandarake.

It's like Mandarake but cheaper and probably has better stock given you aren't competing with people online, but that's entirely dependant on the location. I actually like the green even though it would look a lot better a few tones lighter. The extra head is just a bonus.

As for an original Josuke. It's a gamble unless a site makes absolutely sure you're getting the original release by marking the year or by photos of it since the reissue Josuke has such a light skin tone that in bright lights it looks like he lost detail versus the original shading.

There's Gyro, Johnny, Valentine and D4C, and Prosciutto for JoJo. Also I guess the SAS BIG sub-line if they ever plan to release them.

RWBY girls should be a latter 2017 release window.

I'm not a fan of some of the recent choices but releases are coming but at super slow intervals now with the occasional reissue or random recolor if the anime comes up. At least it isn't as crazy slow as the SHF DBZ line from what I've read from a few threads.

Do you think that Ruby will go up around the same time as Gyro, or does Medicos like to spread out their release dates? I'm a bit unfamiliar with the company.

Also, didn't an anon here have a pre-order date for Gyro?

I know Ruby was already painted at the same time as Gyro's painted reveal (also another girl I think?) so maybe Medicos can pair both off as releases on the same month or next to eachother. I honestly never track this stuff seeing how slow it has gotten so now I just wait on Medicos to tell us something either on the official site or Twitter.

As for the preorder date, I didn't see anything on site or on-twitter or else the SBR posters would make it known here. Also MFC didn't update anything so he was just pulling anon's impatient legs.

Had the same issue with my wamuu.
First try to get a refund, then either heat up a metal bar, cover it in glue and stick it in there, or drill a 1mm hole, dip a 1mm metal bar in glue, put it in the hole and wait for half a day.
Worked well enough with my wamuu, now his leg can move again and the glue doesn't look like it's gonna break.

I used a bicomponent (That's how it translates I guess) glue. It's basically a glue that comes in two separate syringes and you have to mix them to make the actual glue. Holds pretty well, but maybe if you ask someone with more experience they might recommend you something even sturdier.
Also, I only used the glue on the hip side of the joint, while on the leg side I just heated it up, and I must say, once it cools down it's fucking sealed in there, so in a way it might be even better than the glue.

Thanks, I also managed to get a full refund, and >>6260588 yes, his leg does move, he just lost a bit of range, especially when trying to split the legs apart. I'm kind of going easy on him, but the glue seems to be holding alright. In the end it's an alright situation, basically got a free Wamuu with just a missing sandstorm effect.

To be honest I think the seller didn't mean for any of this to happen. The broken joint was most likely due to shipping, as for the missing part, I bet it's Buyee who fucked up and while inspecting the package lost it. But still, who knows.

It DOES look better in actual dynamic poses because the SAS just can't hit the poses. The movable eyes also help sell the poses better. In terms of paint/sculpt the SAS is undoubtedly better though a bit generic in the face where as Yamaguchi at least TRIED to capture the style.

The real issue is the SAS is in a weird ass scale (the line in issue is a scale nightmare) and costs way too damn much for something that isn't really nailing the style or the fun factor. The Revoltech was dirt cheap even if flawed.

I was a little skeptical on how articulated he will be with armor and the usual SAS joint schemes but he's pretty decent.

Wish they slapped on mini-joints for the waist armor pieces and adapt pop-out arms like 2.0 figmas and SHF but it's a decent start for Drifters. Now Oda will be a fun test for Nuu to try.
