I'm pretty sure Doubloon's head is double-sided.

Finally got one of the most exciting bricklink orders. The one that finished my Kek Shrine right in my sigfig room inside of Caffee building.
Sorry for potato photo - will do a better one tomorrow.
Pretty happy about Anubis minifigure too. His head came in a plastic bag so everything looks super new and shiny despite the year that Pyramid set was produced!
>>6237382
Unless you just have to have Mary those double points pay off better
>>6237389
Currently, Modulars hang around for four years before they retire. I doubt the ship will be around for that long.
That said, Assembly Square is $280, so will be "worth more" VIP points. Yeah, you'll spend more on that than the ship, but you'll be getting in a little bit better on the points in the end, I suppose.
Please, can someone replicate this in LEGO?
>>6237382
while I personally love modulars I never buy them because they look pretty shitty just by themselves. you obviously need to buy a lot of them next to each other, and the minifigs are usually shit
>>6237540

>>6237540
I'm pretty sure it's already been done
>>6237540
Definitely.
I have a couple lego SW sets I added some custom features too, would anyone like to see? I have a y wing from the DV set with greebling, and a t-16 with some nice little details (since the original was so scarce).
I love to admire other people's customs and getting new ideas for greebling.
>>6237629
do it, i love lego sw but the recent years hasn't been to good imho
Alright well my y wing is packed away. Instead I offer the T-19 skyhopper Mk. 2?
I added atmospheric ailerons for better control at lower atmosphere.
The engine unit has been upgraded with an external boost pack, supplementing some of the power of the original T-16's modest power plant. Another upgrade in accessibility has been added in that the booster pack is removal by 1 humanoid in under 1 hour with a 1 ton crane, the Volkswagen principle.
Also, the main cannon has been upgraded to allow for a fluted beam splitter allowing the pilot to modulate the beam width for different applications.
Another detail added is found in the forward facing ballistic cannons. An upgrade from their original stature, the new cannons feature a shell diameter increase of 30%, and a wider assortment of ammunition types.

>>6237969
Between some of the police lines (other than swamp) and the police dude CMF, etc, if I tried to use them together I think it looks a bit silly. A bit dressy for modern police, at least for most parts of the US. So for myself I just keep them with the CMF gangster, of which I have a decent enough mob. The usual lego crooks go with either time period so they're cool either way.
>>6237986
>A bit dressy for modern police, at least for most parts of the US
Yeah, but luckily for me all my "modern" settings are in a fictionalized version of the 1980s.

>Just ordered more parts to Sky Pirate one of these. I too have much love for this set. I really like the the anchor "blade" wingtips.
I just ordered 2 sets - this Creator plane and Sky shark.
Sky shark has pretty much everything you need to upgrade any plane to pirate-level!

Yeah i like how unique-evil that face looks so i ordered just it from bricklink. Doesnt look chinese that much so it would fit to any antagonist.

>>6238475
It'll probably retire some time this year. Couldn't give you exact date, but I'd still get it asap if you're ever planning on getting one.
Cinema is a bit weird one if you ask me. Sure, it's pretty on the outside, but the insides are a bit barren and the actual cinema-part is pathetic. They also waste parts on that fucking ugly car, and it's the only modular with stickers. It's like a transistional set. It's pretty funny how much they improved with even Parisian Restaurant.

Interior isn't bad imo

Also, captcha has hit a new fucking low. I just got the "click all the X until there are no more" but the pictures faded away excruciatingly slowly, making you wait forever to see if any more would fade in. This might even be worse than the "draw the outline around the sign."
>>6238646
Should be S@H promo next month at least in Europe. Buy with X amount and get it for free.
>>6238646
>I just got the "click all the X until there are no more"
When you get a "until there are no more" captcha, just reload the captcha window until it gives you something else.
I've realized that whenever it gives you a single image and says "pick all squares with X", you can usually skip the captcha and it will count as successfully solving it.
No news for May the 4th promo yet?
I just want to order the new Landspeeder, and it would be the perfect excuse to get one

I've also posted this a lot but this is one for the few times it's been relevant...
>>6238693
Do it. It's a cracking kit for the price, and, as you can see, it has loads of mod potential.
When the parts get here I think I'm gonna see if I can turn one into a biplane.
Need to do pilots, too.
What pieces would be good to make this? Preferably torso
>>6238716
My first thought was Willa, but it's not a very close fit.
>>6238632
>>6238692
It would need quite a variety of parts (in med azure, still a rare colour) to make it work. But in 4-wide scale like it is now? i doubt it will be possible to retain it's shape. It would need a longer cockpit, different windshield and panels or doors (not sure med azure doors already exist, but i might be fuzzy on some memories of trying to make a medium blue car, also a beetle funnily enough, wich is lying around unfinished now still because of lack of colours) You need these on the sides to accomodate a minifigs arms and i'm not even talking about making room for a steeringwheel. 6-wide would need you to basically change everything but is your best bet so make it work. Pic related is a racey beetle version i've been tinkering with for a while now, but it's a bit squarey in places.
>>6236964

How much would you be willing to pay for this particular set?
>>6238810
>>6238813
Wasn't the previous superprezent-figure this one? It's also the only set that had this pilot in grey.
Actually, now that I think about it, I never saw this particular one in any store. Maybe it just didn't sell in the slightest.
I can sorta see why it didn't, though. The build was a bit underwhelming and having a set based on Rebels S1 this late was silly.
>>6238758
The biggest issue I ran into with making a beetle-ish car was retaining the very unique hood shape
Even the $100 beetle set really doesn't do a super job of it imo
>>6238817
>Why are these so overpriced?

>>6238817
I'd be down for 15. 20 Would be pushing it but it has quite some really neat parts, apart from the girls torso and legs everything is usefull in my eyes. The printed jap armours look really good and have rather nice and subdued colours for non ninjago shenanigans. Lots of cool and uncommon colours allround. The sand blue hair for example, and I wanted to have that exact ponytail hairstyle in red when i built Pif's waif but it didn't exist in that colour back then. Now i already headcanon'd it the magenta one i used instead, but still a cool piece to have as a modern throwback to the old bright red ponytail hairpieces.
>>6238820
Yeah, the 4-wide prefab part i used gets rather close and smooth, but putting lower fenderpieces next to it that also have headlight attachment points and aren't very square is where it strays away from the design the most.
I haven't been following LEGO for like a month now. Has wave three of TLBM been announced yet or can I crawl under my rock again?

Sounds like somebody needs to play more Rampage. If you don't like the way it looks, demolish it.
I found pic related for $10 clearance while at Target. The box is dinged up but the seals were intact. I normally would have passed on it, but I think some of the parts could be useful for a project I'm planning.

Definitely yay.
Very awesome truck.
Interesting exclusive parts too.

I think making pieces like that for a large scale set is kind of like giving up completely
Not to mention those sets are also to appeal to people that would build it and only it, so making it something unique would be weird to normies I guess

>>6239493

>>6239488
okay, though I've even seen people call illegal connections heresy so it's kind of debatable

I've also seen this. Anything that isn't strictly on the up and up is what I'd call heresy.

>>6239450
>a constraction-type fashion doll with clothes and accessories that you can build
CCBS Belville? LEGO Friends Hero Factory?
>>6239513
So we are going with:
Stressing parts = illegal
Modifying parts = heresy
Third party parts = third party parts
Well ok then.
>>6239519
Also I've seen the highly technical term 'turd party' tossed about.
>>6239393
Martin from CMF Simpsons 2 as >>6239399 said or Professor Frink if you want bowtie and lab coat
>>6239524
I mean, we can use bootlego if it's something Lego makes but not made by Lego. I feel like a blanket term that covers turd party, illegal, and heresy would be useful.

>>6239383
Steampunk or western. Also space western like one anon suggested would be fucking awesome. I actually think that might a likely big bang theme in the future
>>6239519
>Stressing parts = illegal
>Modifying parts = heresy
>Third party parts = third party parts
For me it goes like this:
1) stressed parts-builds/modfying parts/chinky bricks - degenerate nonsense
2) third party lego is alright because its not bootleg - most of the times they just print some stuff on already "LEGO" bricks/pieces or make additional pieces that just add stuff and being a good quality.
Everything esle looks like shit and should not be used.
>>6237385
Man, Moltor is great. I wish he got an Ultimate set to go with the other Scourges.
>>6239563
There's another term.
When I bought a Lele figure, the woman in the shop remarked "Lego". So Lego is just another one of those brand name to general use terms, like scotch tape or hoover.

>>6239925
>Whats the story behind this magazine? Is it an official Lego magazine only available in Poland? It seems pretty odd that the polybags are exclusively made for this magazine, and usually include pretty interesting parts at that.
Correct on all counts.
>>6239888
The quality of the plastic is a little bit lesser than LEGO, but at the same time, its probably among the best of the "not LEGO" building block lines.
With MegaBloks, you're more likely to get a malformed or damaged piece than with LEGO, although it still doesn't really happen all that often.
However, the bricks themselves aren't any harder or softer than LEGO bricks.
>>6239949
Yup, Black Knight mech.
Only redeeming features of it were Robin and Whipparella minifigs, and now one of them is readily available.
I desperately need a Basil fig
He was one of my favorite figures as a kid but being a stupid little twat, I damaged him beyond repair
>>6239953
Fright Knight figs are pretty cheap, probably because the sets aren't well received.
I have a couple Basils, mainly because I like the torso a lot.
>>6239942
Cool, I don't think I'd buy them since the sets don't interest me but it looks like the sets are getting way better, so who knows
>>6239953

Still in pretty good condition too.
>>6239953

Hackwib nackwib hackwib nackwib.
Polsky Polsky Polsky Polsky.
>>6240016
The sets have gotten way better over the years, but I think the thing is their style and licenses are just so much different than like, LEGO.
LEGO kind of appeals to everyone. Megabloks seem like they focus more on actual teens or adults, and on the other end, little kids.
They have a lot of properties like Halo, Call of Duty, and Destiny (all first-person shooters) while on the other end, they have stuff like....spongebob and minions.
They've got some in "in between" stuff like Power Rangers and TMNT, but some of the older teen/adult themed sets and stuff are actually kinda nice.
>>6240020
shame he didn't come with the cape though,
were the 'basils' in both these sets identical?
any other anons curious/autistic enough to keep a rough count of their parts?
I just added up a few recent sets and bricklink orders, total 26500 pcs, give or take a couple hundred.
>>6240068
Brickset does it for me (38504 parts).
But I know I have a bunch more from BL orders and other such things, and even then the Brickset count isn't accurate because I don't have some parts of the sets.
>>6240070
is it brickset that has the 'what other sets can you build from your inventory' feature?
And if so, does it have the option to ignore colors?
>>6240048
It's bad enough trying to match Chinese plastic colours to Lego, but this printed stuff is even more useless for making anything other than the original set.
>>6240048
Yeah, everything relabel "Mega Construx" and was "Collectors Series" were the lines marketed to older collectors, but I know my younger nephew ate up anything CoD.
>>6240071
It has it integrated, but the actual website for it is Rebrickable.
Forgive my stupidity, but what exactly is Klocki?

>>6240020
I've got that guy, had him as a kid right before my dark ages started, but I can't remember in what set. I THINK the one with the poor bat with a stick shoved up the pooper.

Even worse if you got into lego through something like Star Wars or the LeLe movie.
>>6240120
>Legos
>>6240048
>Spongebob
>TMNT
Lego's sloppy seconds.
I'm going to France this weekend. Which Architecture set should I get: Louvre or Eiffel Tower?
>>6240127
I got back into legos after watching the TLBM movie, is that okay?
>>6240129
Mega is kind of knocking TMNT out of the ballpark more than LEGO ever did, though.
>>6239383
Realistic space. It's a style LEGO has never truly done in minifigure scale or as a large theme. I am ridiculously poor but I would buy any and all sets if they did it
>>6240122
You will go to LEGO jail if you do that
>>6240133
I'm glad mega got the license. They're figures are basically mini action-figures, which fits TMNT very well, compared to the stiff LEGO figures. Setswise they both aren't too great, with exceptions like the Technodrome
>>6240134
I also glued two pieces together in my Panther tank. I'm behind 7 bloxies, so the Lego Police State will never catch me.
>>6240133
>>6240136
I have no problem with the figs. The film version, however, is pure ass.
>>6240142
Just to be sure, you glued the 2x1 jumper plate to the technic piece for strength, right?
Making tank turrets in LEGO form is difficult indeed, with the gun barrel and the rotating head
>>6240143
>purple jacket
>goggles
>kneepads
>no pants
I'm not sure how to feel about that guy's fashion choices
>>6240151
I glued a technic brick with hole to one of the longer technic pins (yellow) connected to the gun mantle. The gun would just slowly depress over time.
Cheeky croc got any wheels on mine.
>Vroom! Vroom!
>>6240162
No pants could survive Donatello's massive turtledong. Lego knows this, and now so do you.

Not at all. It's a really tight fit with the tube and jumper piece. Plus you could run a lightsaber blade down it like this if you needed a bit more strength.

I mostly got back "out" of lego because in the early 2000s, at the same time i got a bit older and the sets more simplistic and juvenile (well, kinda shit really. looking at you Jack Stone) i went to first year of grammarschool that same time and had to do a shitload of homework. Videogames were more engaging at that time. At the same time we went through a decade long house renovation where most non essential stuff was sealed and put away. But honestly i never "really" got out of it, just other things were added. It was not until i found out through these threads about the cmf series. When i picked a pair up i got a blacktron cyborg and a mummy (absolute major blast from the past. I loved old spacethemes and spooky monsters ever since i was very young) Around the same time i found my old lego tub and a wip spaceship/fighterplane wich was the final impetus to say fuck it and finish it up. At this time i felt really stupid for not getting more into spacepolice 3 (I once gave a small set to a kindergarten friend who was die-hard into mass effect, i had to bricklink p-squiddy myself much later sadly) Turns out i never really let go of my apreciation for well designed toys so diving in again honestly wasn't that hard.
>>6240340
it doesn't. The shoulder cylinder parts are sitting lower and are smaller than that one.
The shoulder parts looks like it's this piece.
