Wow, Threezero Fallout 4 T51 totally out of left field.
And it's a Thinkgeek exclusive? and In-stock no less??
Did we hear anything at all about this before it just randomly appeared?

I saw this at PAX over the weekend. Not gonna lie, I would have grabbed it if I didn't get kicked out of the hotel I was staying in...
>>6236381
>I didn't get kicked out of the hotel I was staying in
Elaborate.
>>6236358
>Cue normies screaming about the price in the comments
It has already begun.
Anyway, figure looks great. Wish they'd switch it up and do female heads for other power armor releases though, or at least let us buy an alternate female head separately.
>>6236388
Buddy got in a fight in the lobby and we got booted out at 2 in the morning.
The worst part is, I was just up in the room sleeping. I'm waiting for my share of the room money back.
>>6236358
There's a ThinkGeek store in our mall, I wonder if they would carry these. I'd like to see them in person before I drop that kind of cash. Very, very tempting. I don't know which armor I would prefer though.
>>6236394
Your buddy sounds like an asshole.
>>6236389
You should see the thread on reddit in /r/fallout
>$375 reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
>only if it's life size
>not paying that for plastic toy
And anyone who comments anything favorable is downvoted into oblivion. The amount of stupidity on display is staggering.
>>6236397
Agreed.
>>6236381
So they had them there in person for sale? They must have been producing these under the radar.
I'd be a little angry if I thought stealth production on this thing for Thinkgeek is why the rest of us got our paid T60 preorders delayed.
>>6236404
There was at least one physical one, in box, on deisplay. I'm guessing they had more, but maybe they didn't.
Looked really fucking, forgive the pun, rad.
>>6236389
So far we've got 3 models that come with the same male head, and 2 models that come with the female head in different hair colors.
I bought the Atom Cats T-60 but I will never be able to afford more than maybe 1 more of these, and I'm holding out for the X-01, and additionally hoping it gets a male head as well so I have one of each.
>>6236400
yeah i saw that thread a while back. these people will pay $200-$300 on an ugly mechanical keyboard no questions asked, but nope not a toy. i think gamers have an anti-toy mentality because the stuff you get in collectors editions tends to be terrible.
>>6236358
Friend of mine bets we'll see winterized T51b and BOS T60 with Danse head before this is all over and done
Fallout 1 Power Armor when? Fuck Skyrim with guns.
>>6236422
You can hate the game all you want, but the power armor design in 4 is objectively best.
>>6236422
>>6236423
Close enough?
>>6236416
Ain't a think wrong with that.
I wonder about those custom 1/6 sculpted heads you see on ebay, if you could finagle one of them on the neck stump. Not just because I'd like to put Tony Stark's head on it or anything.
>>6236423
Not really. In Fallout 1 and 2 the Power Armor looks like armor, not a robot. They were also more reflective of the game's setting, by mixing 50's sci-fi aesthetic with futurism. Fallout 3 and 4's armor suffers from trying to make the old designs "cooler" and more realistic, which is how you get the weird disproportional legs in >>6236430
>>6237290
Oddly enough, I'd say the Fallout 4 style actually looks more like Fallout 1 in the aspect it's a dude in a large suit of armor.
That figure looks more like the Fallout 3 power armor which feels way too form fitting for the setting of the game and the idea of power armor.
They need to make cheaper versions of these fucking things.
>14.5 inches tall is too damn big
>make them around 6-8 inches tall instead
>remove the whole gimmick where the guy can come out of the armor
>make it just a poseable set of armor with a removable helmet, and maybe some heads/hands you can swap out for different poses and weapons
BAM. Its no longer $375, its now $50-$80, and people can buy multiple sets to get all the armors and limited editions for a collection.
Id loooove to get a T-51 set, T-60 Atom Cat, and a possible Enclave armor set, but no fucking way Im spending $1000.
>>6237678
>$50-$80
yeah fucking right
>no fucking way Im spending $1000
wrong place/hobby buddy
>>6236430
>the shoulders stay down
I'm still fucking mad about this piece of shit
>Not a financing in bottle caps option
Step it up.
>>6237678
I'm kinda hoping they release some characters WITHOUT power armor, but at the same scale, kinda like how they sell the stands extra. Vault Suited bodies for the heads would be nice.
If they made other Fallout 3/4 characters, I'd kill for a 1/6 Valentine or Piper, or shit, a Codsworth.
Pic Related: Stand in 1/6 Synth
>>6236416
Well yeah, sure, it won't look like my character, but I still like to be able to choose.
>>6236436
Take this with a grain of salt, since I don't own this figure, but ThreeZero and ThreeA typically use the same manufacturing processes, and ThreeA typically uses TrueType bodies. So if this all holds true for this figure, you should be able to use any Hot Toys-compatible head.
>>6237678
see
>>6236430
You are basically talking about the Funko except it doesn't have a removable helmet or swappable hands.
If you're asking for something of ThreeZero quality but 6-8" tall, you've gotta be fucking kidding me at that price. No way that would cost $50-80. Basic ThreeA Action Portable figures cost like $50-60 already, and that's using generic bucks. A figure like this would require a 100% original sculpt (and a very intricate one, at that) and entirely new joint engineering. You'd be looking at like $150 easy, maybe even more.
>>6238394
huh. there's probably a sideshow forum somewhere with people who have a lot of money who would be willing to check to see if this is true.
>TFW just want smaller Fallout 4 power armor figures so I can pose them with my other toys in the 5-8" tall range
>maybe even some raiders or Follower NPCs from the games
>will never have a dude in Advanced Power Armor on my shelf helping a predator fight off some xenos
>will never get an 8" tall deathclaw so he can fight my Godzillas
>No supermutant figures
>>6238917
Yeah it's a shame.
I don't like Fallout 4 or it's arrmor designs at all but I would love some 1/12 stuff from New Vegas or one and two.
>>6238917
Buy the Abomination from the Hulk movie line, and custom up some weathered gear for it to wear. Boom, you have a pretty decent approximation of a Super Mutant.
>>6237678
They don't charge that price because it costs that much to manufacture.
The high price is for exclusivity, it's the same with designer clothes.
They don't have to charge that much, it's a form of class warfare.
It looks all right? Too bad its source material was a buggy piece of shit.
>>6238917
>no NCR Veteran Ranger
>no Courier Six
>no Joshua Graham
>>6237709
Same here, how fucking hard would it have been to add some sort of hinge. Fuck Funko.
>>6239327
Considering how NV is only grudgingly accepted by Bethesda as fringe canon, you'd be lucky to see a single reference in anything with their name on it.
>>6239434
God, really? It's the best of the 3D Fallouts in terms of player freedom and writing. It'd be great to get a Ulysses.
>>6238917
Lou always looked like he was wearing some kind of power armour to me.
I always imagined it as just scraps of it though, it doesn't actually strengthen him or fit properly.
>>6241629
NV was made by Obsidian under license, not Bethesda, and no matter how good it was, it wasn't their game so they prefer to pretend it never existed.
>>6236358
Any word on an X-01?
>>6239129
i'm basically a commie and this reasoning is stupid
>>6239129
>They don't have to charge that much, it's a form of class warfare.
Holy shit you're dumb.
The price is high because they know enough people will pay it to justify it.
Frankly if they charged $100 poorfags would still say it's too much.
>>6243654
Hell if I know but I'd buy one
>>6243654
No but it's inevitable
>374.99
>1/6 scale
Like the DOOM Guy figure, way out of my price range.
>>6239434
yeah except for the references to the mojave in 4
