With Junji Ito's manga getting pretty consistent releases in English, what are the odds we see a figure company do some figures of his work? I'd buy all of them
>>6159552
Probably really low, even though his stuff is fairly popular I kinda doubt any japanese figure company would actually wanna even try to make figures of half the goofy ass shit that happens in his mangas.
As for American companies? Lol forget it.
>>6159552
Only interested if they make pic related.
>>6159605
Wasn't there a custom of this made out of dry gum a while back.
>>6159610
¿Are you talking about Gummy?
This thing was made by an anon and his brother when they were kids, so there's a chance it's even older than Ito's manga.
>>6159610
Not exactly...
>>6159629
>there's a chance it's even older than Ito's manga
He calls out to us in dreams of the dead city. A city where even time itself has aged and withered away. The visage shared extends beyond individual conciousness, national borders, and even aeons.

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Gummy anon's house wgah'nagl fhtagn!

I'd buy Kirie with the curly, floating hair, the girl with the crescent mark, Tomie. As for mosters, the creppy ass kid would be nice.
Id buy anything Junji Ito, although I dont think his stuff is exactly "toyetic"

Dojyaaa
Curly Kirie is best Kirie.
I'd buy just the contraption in 1/12 scale for putting waifu figures into.
>>6159552
You want them in color, or black and white?
>>6159552
only if we get insect shark

Has to come with a clear word-bubble part that says Gashunk Gashunk on it.

whats Ito's scariest story? ive read a few of his stories but they dont really give me nightmares
>>6160466
which one is that from
>>6165524
>scariest story?
Only normalfags would be "scared" by Ito's stories. Most of his stories implement body horror and fear of the unknown. If you can appreciate that then you'll be able to enjoy his work.
>>6165524
The Enigma of Amigara Fault seems to be a most known popular one for being the most 'scary'
I never really got nightmares from his stories, they're just sort of sit in the brain for a while and make you think, and come off overall unsettling which I quite like personally
But there are quite a lot of them, so just try out whatever story has an interesting name that you think may get to you
Some I like are The Circus is Here, Scarecrows, The Groaning Drain, Drifting Spores or The Hanging Balloons.
>>6165524
Go read "Junji Ito's Cat Diary" for maximum nightmare fuel. You'll never look at cat comics the same way again.
>>6165524
Think The Groaning Drain is the most unsettling one I've read. None of them really scare me, like the other guys have been saying.

Take that shit to /x/ I'm feeling spooked dude
But seriously that nearly made me throw up in my mouth and now I feel too afraid to walk down my dark hallway after seeing that thing.
>>6165678
That one was kind of a letdown. It ends too abruptly and we don't see any (spoilers) horror of (without spoiling much) what's currently in the drain and how it currently looks. The fault lines comic was much better and was what I hoped the drain would be too.
>>6165433
Wow, what an asshole.
>>6167044
Eh that's sort of what I liked about The Groaning Drain, you knew what it could do and was doing, but you had no idea what it possibly could have looked like

Hear me out on this one guys:
Amigara Fault. Play-Doh Factory.

Best post I have seen in weeks.

You mean drrr drrr drrr
>>6167699
I can see it now. You have little molds to make people out of. Then you place them in the hole and push down the lever to force them through (somehow).
>>6167044
The genius of it is that it doesn't show you. Most of the time, truly effective horror consists more of what you don't see than what you do--your imagination will spin wildly out of control as it tries to imagine what could be lurking in those dark corners. I'll frankly take a good tense buildup with only glimpses of a threat, over another CGI creature or bloodied murderer reveal any day. If that story had ended with the guy slithering out of the pipe all burnt and deformed, it would have been just another Amigara Fault ending. Boring.
Ito has plenty of stories where he DOES show you terrifying sights. The Groaning Drain is a good example of him showing restraint, and to great effect it seems, since it was particularly memorable to many people ITT.
