Hey, /toy/. Are there still any toys being made in the vein of Action Fleets or the Hasbro Zoids toys? Smallish scale vehicles/mechs with little pilot guys that can be put into them?
They're like the comfiest style toy.
Not that immediately spring to mind. Closest you're going to get is the new Diaclone stuff, or the current Transformers line where the heads come off and become tiny dudes that can go in the cockpits of the vehicle modes
The closest mainstream thing at the moment is the titans return transformers line

Action fleet was pretty sweet. All the Starwars Micromachine stuff was pretty great in general.
>>6145920
Can you imagine the quality now.
*Shudders*
The new Micro Machines were not great were they.
Still haven't seen Rogue One's yet.
Titans return
Tmnt micro playset
Voltron
THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO
That is all i can think of that is similar. And some are bigger than you want
>>6145920
there was new star wars ones.
just seen some at toys r us yesterday
The new diaclone guys
I didn't expect this thread to still exist. Just ordered a couple of Diaclone things off BBTS, specifically both of the variants of pic related. These look like they could be pretty fun.

Oh hey, pretty cool I migh-
>$40
nope
>>6155456
i want a few too
let us know how you like em later on
>>6155460
$40 bucks is not so ba-
>2 inches tall
So, how about them black series, huh?
>>6146086
Action Fleet was my favorite when I was a kid. I still have them in a plastic tote in my closet.
>>6146371
The 80s tmnt sets? Those were pretty slick. The sculpts emulated the standard size toys.
>>6155831
There's also new tmnt micro playsets, called micro mutants.
>>6155976
Are they new?
The old TMNT had figures like that but not sure about figures/range.
>>6156064
Yeah, these are new.
>>6156075
Yeah, on closer inspection they are new.
They did some very similar things before though.
>>6155456
Just opened these up about an hour ago. Pretty neat. Kinda regret dropping $80 on em, but I'd rather regret the price of something cool than regret not getting it at all. Wish I wasn't at work so I could really get into playing with them.
Can anyone ID where this guy came from? He's 1.5 inches tall. I think it was to a mid to late 90s playset or vehicle, but I cant find it.
>>6155456
>5cm
>$40
WHAT THE FUCK
>>6163657
My guess is
>probably only like $15 in yen
>import costs
>they want to make a profit on top of that
Third parties suck.
>>6163678
Nope. They're $30 bucks in yen. Diaclone is just expensive.
>>6163898
Ew, gross.
>>6163898
Everything Japanese is expensive.
Here's a 3. 75" line with super duper high quality paint job using a 4 whole colors and 12PoA.
This was in 2015, so it'd probably cost about $26 today.

Reviews of the powered suits and dia-nauts sets.
They look REALLY tempting but I just can't justify buying them
>>6163655
Got him, but he was yellow, I think it's from a tmnt set. not sure.
>>6145920
I used to take over one of my parents bookshelves when I was a kid and turn it into an action fleet ship hangar. Those toys solidified my favorite Star Wars starfighter as the B wing.
>>6170958
B-Wing represent!
>>6146371
>THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO
Thanks m8
The new Sentai has little orb pods with mini pilots to fit in.
>>6164603
Those cost less than $10 at retail you disingenuous prick.
They also actually have these things called "joints".
>>6176431
POA is points of articulation you stupid fuck. He was talking about joints
>>6163655
That's from the Multimac toy line.
>>6170958
That's how I fell in love with the Y-Wing.
>>6176431
>these cost $10 in retail after the line bombed from no one buying it
fixed that for you, you disingenuous prick.
>>6155976
hmm I'd better sell those old sets I didn't want before they start re releasing them
