hey /toy/ first time poster here. i recently got into playing tabletop rpg's with friends and my setting as a dm is always lovecraft oriented. are there any cool cthulhu mythos toys or figurines that would look nice on a game board?

SOTA Cthulhu. You might also consider tracking down Monsterpocalypse. It's a boardgame that was discontinued (I think). I don't know how aftermarkets work for the boardgame community, but perhaps you can get the figurines for cheap.
